  1. Even with limited resources you managed to creat a complicating MOC. Is it based on the schooner Scull's Eye of 1993 or on a simplier ship of Captain Iron Hook?
  2. It's an eye-catching masterpiece, worth the time. And it's even difficult to choose which part of it is the best. I like the playability of your creation and that you combined a few different ideas in one set. Please compare yours to my Pirate battle island and Soldier's Arsenal. Perhaps we can exchange building techniques because I admire some of your ideas.
  3. Hi, Sweetsha. I recently asked what had inspired you to creat such a nice squid. And I compared it to the following LEGO project. Though it is a giant octopus there. But I like your squid more maybe because it's more detailed and besides I prefer unusual building techniques. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/106569
  4. Sorry, what does PtV mean? Please give a detailed reply.
  5. The MOC is bloody enough for Pillage the Village Contest.
  6. Many thanks. your advice is simple but most useful. I understand now why I need a couple of minifigs for the Soldiers arsenal and I'll add them after repairing my camera.
  7. I advise you to put it in Pillage the Village Contest. I saw a nice squid, just like your, in LEGO ideas. Perhaps that inspired you. The MOC is bloody enough for that!
  8. It's really fantastic!!! Very detailed I especialy like it because it reminds me of the classic Forbidden island of 1989. Keep on building
  9. Hi, BrickOn. Thanks for your fast and detailed reply. Any healthy criticism is welcome because if somebody criticises my creations it can mean they like them. And are attentive to details. - If I am completely honest I don't see a purely pirates set getting anywhere close to the 10k support though it's a dream of any LEGO fan. - And The Flying Dutchman can prove the posibility. - I think pirate Lego Ideas are always worth trying, just as a way of telling Lego we are still here and let them not forget us. However, I am glad you like my sense of humour, I am just trying to have fun with my Lego and want everyone else to enjoy it too, in whatever way they choose.
  10. You really payed much attention to all kinds of details. Would you like to add epaulets to the redcoat soldiers? That would make their coats a real uniform of different ranks. Try to compare with my soldiers arsenal.
  11. Where are the monkeys, I wonder? There is only one in view.
  12. Will there be more pictures showing what they see in the distance? Some LEGO fans are very curious.
  13. Hi, it seams you know much about LEGO pirates sets. I was impressed with the MOC and it's story. You managed to combine many things sucsessfully. Can you tell me the number of a set (except 6263) which has a redcoat admiral ? Do you think there will there be a bluecoats' ship in 2015? And do you know if there is a soldier's arsenal in LEGO pirates 2015, like 8396? I ask because I uploaded such a project, so is it worth trying? PS: I like your sence of humour!
  14. As for the 2 backpacks - you're right. But the different epaulettes and hats are needed to change his image while his military career rises. Thanks a lot for your support, I hope your LEGO friends will like it, too. Sometimes I illustrate MOCs with my poetry devoted to LEGO pirates and other themes and upload them on the site www.lego-champion.comkhabarovsk
  15. Hi, Kolonialbeamter. You seem to know much about naval history, its brute side, too. I quite understand your mood and I feel sorry for that poor guy. It was clever of you to send a mermaid there. She will surely save him!. I came across the MOC only now and it reminded me of one of my poems (a few books of my poetry have been published since 1993) about pirates. Sometimes I illustrate them with LEGO MOCs. If you or your mermaid know Russian, I can let you read the poem. Will you try to use it at the Pillage the Village Contest?
  16. The MOC is called Bluecoats Soldiers Arsenal. It is based on 8396 set (2009) but I added a base plate as the Cheetah’s walking throne 70141 set. And also bluecoats’ large and nice flag to raise it up in the morning. We can see only a hairpiece on the soldier’s head but there are 3 hats to choose from and a wig: a private’s hat and brown epaulets, an officer’s three cornered hat and red epaulets – after career promotion, and an admiral’s hat and white epaulets. A wig and yellow epaulets when he becomes a governor. There are 2 cutlasses – silver and usual, a gun and a pistol. The silver cutlass is in the shoulder belt. There are 2 backpacks – brown and grey. Such a variety adds playability, the set can cost minimum so fans of all ages can buy a few to enrich their collection and thus have any mini figure – from a private to a governor. I think this set would definitely fit into the LEGO Pirates Collection, If you'd like to have this as a part of your collection, please support it in LEGO ideas. You can also see other pictures of the MOC there. What would you advise to improve? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/107251 Well, every soldier dreams of becoming a general. So you can see how his carier can change gradually - a soldier - an officer - a general - a governor. Good luck to all of them!
  17. Do you know if there will be an official set with a bluecoat ship? There is always great need of ships to carry goods.
  18. Such a detailed and playable creation. Is it created under the impression of the classic Imperial trading post, 1989? Yours reminds me of that one.
  19. You managed to depict the movie scene very precisely. So, add some more pictures from different angles.
  20. It realle looks like a shipwreck will happen soon. Good that you didn't use any official ship set but nicely created your own one... Bon Apetit to the shark and black octopus!!!
  21. SEA Nightmare Do you think it will fit the Pillage the Village Contest? If yes, I'll add the pictures later. The most interesing part of the story - before dawn - will come later, too.If not, please say why. As you can see in the 1st picture, one unlucky night a redcoats' frigate was sailing the seas. The watchman in the crow's nest saw a small boat with a couple of pirates and a strange creature. It was a golum. (picture #2). The crew took the strangers on board the ship. But alas!.... In the morning - all the crew members became skeletons (pictures 3, 4, 5). And the captain became the most scary 4-armed skeleton! Even the ship became a see monster with a dragon's head and tail at the back. Why, to your mind, all that happened? Hope you like my story and creation.
  22. It's really an awesome design. The changes are minimal, but they prove you're lucky to have preserved such a rare set! it's some 20 years old - the older, the better as good wine. As far as I know, it's the only set without a ship but with a redcoat admiral! It can be a pearl of any pirates collection. To my mind, only the Imperial trading post of 1989 is much cooler.
  23. Perhaps you were inspired with your terrible thirst - it's still summer
  24. An unspeakable LEGO masterpiece!! My jaw dropped just wider that that of your crocodile.
  25. The most rare set you have is Imperial trading post. And you've got quite a large fleet to attack it. And there are very few redcoats to defend the merchants, as you said. Keep on building. It can be a beginning of your LEGO story.
