  1. Gotta keep in mind how far in advance Lego works. Sure maybe they saw his Toy Story racers, but his superheroes ones came after. I imagine they started working on the racers idea around same time (Approximately 3 years ago) It would be a nice gesture for them to at least acknowledge his racers though, maybe in the back of the instructions saying, "if you liked our racers hey take a look at these." Realistically though, a cut of the profits won't happen. By those standards, anyone who made a racer for any one of their DC figures should be getting a payout. It is some nice serendipity though. Hoping for an Oky-style mini Riddler hot rod. That one is my favorite.
  2. Kingpin and Wesley purists. (Except for Fisk's torso) They look really sharp.
  3. Wow, they work really well. Opens up a lot of new possibilities for a bunch of themes.
  4. I don't know. Seems like all these Winter Village and Creator Expert sets seem to really touch that line between, "building toy" and, "art." Each year gets more complex, newer pieces, and still they manage to maintain a trademark beauty and elegance. Rehashing seems a tad bit lazy. The again did Marcos Bessa in his model video last year say that the Santa's workshop would, "complete" collectors' winter village? Maybe "complete" was the key word? Maybe as in "thats all folks." I'm still pulling for a new set, if not, we have those sick holiday vignettes to look forward to.
  5. I've actually tried it before and it works. Doesn't look too bad actually and is a pretty cool play feature. I'll probably change it out though if they do that. Now, another question: does anyone think that War Machine will have black included rather than all gray this time around? I really want the main helmet to be grey so that I can reuse it when I make an Iron Man MK 2 fig with out dismantling my current WM. At the same time though, I know black looks better and is more accurate. Using gunmetal gray (like the Ultron drones) as I did for the arms and legs looks great too for anyone interested btw. Oh Whoopie Goldberg. Sorry.
  6. Oooh, great news. Some VIP points should lower the prices then. I just want the Cyberman pack (and maybe a few more). I don't like Dr. Who, but I love the torso and legs for a purist MK 2. Will look nice flying around in my Malibu Mansion MOC a la the 1st Iron Man movie.
  7. Simple but well done. So many Batman custom possibilities with so few figures its crazy.
  8. Yes! Yes! Yes! I didn't get Winter Soldier, I held out because I assumed he'd be in a Civil War set, and now confirmation on it, oh happy days!!! And he is in a cheaper set? Amazing!!! Thanks J2G!
  9. So, no legs? Very interesting. Kinda like that birthday cake set from this year? Guess no legs saves some money for a mechanism to race now huh?
  10. Looks pretty good. The white (ruffle) is a tad off-putting, but other than that, its one of the best purist Daredevils I've seen.
  11. I'm pretty sure they're the reason that when I step out for 3 hours that I have over 100 unread messages.
  12. And I cry everyday because of it. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep knowing that I'm a huge fan yet don't even own Splinter. Other times I cry myself to sleep whispering "…Casey Jones…" in between my blubbering.
  13. (See the tile that comes with the CMF Series 6 Surgeon) I just want a subzero and scorpion and my life is complete. Tone them down, put them in the Friendship zone, anything! Just give me them! I know it won't happen, but if it will, and you heard it here first, know that I am buying 2 of each fig (One for me and one for my brother, who is also a fan)
  14. Lol, you might finally get your Raven. I swear, I'm following only about 5 threads and somehow if I don't check up every few minutes on this one or Marvel I get a billion unread messages. Good news I guess as there is finally something meaty to talk about.
  15. Yeah, its highly unlikely, but a guy can dream right?
  16. ^This Anyway, thanks for the very well done review, nice to see things up close.
  17. Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head not wanting to provide any free promotions for characters that aren't fully theirs. Also, I think it is indeed different with Marvel television, they can use any character but choose not to.
  18. This should really be in the 2015 Seasonal thread no? Bricktober sets sounds like Micro Modulars again. Money saver for sure since I'm not interested in them. Those Holiday vignettes sound amazing, really stoked for them.
  19. Aegis2000 over on the DC thread said: "Correct me if I'm wrong (not kidding): one wave of BvS: DoJ and Avengers Assemble sets in January, then both themes' Racers and Comic sets in March with the Marvel CA:CW sets." Then just2good said "This tbh." So, AA in the New Year and Racers ad Civil War in Spring. Juniors (Loki and Iron Man) most likely will also be in January at the start of 2016.
  20. I remember watching a Bricks4Chris (then Lego4Chris) video, back when he had his lighthouse and beach, and thought that if I had my own city I'd replace the lighthouse with a prison island maybe with a junkyard near there… and lo and behold, Lego unveils their prison island. Maybe I should be part of Lego's PR Department. All jokes aside, I'm excited to see the prison and ferry, other than that the Great Vehicles look like rehashes. (Wanna see theta garbage truck though) As for the fire crew, I liked Lego's last wave from a year or two ago and then from the fire starter set again, realistic and well detailed. Hard to top it.
  21. Oh Just2Good, then you get irritated when we (repeatedly) ask you when ask you to tell us more I'm just kidding, but this seems to confirm that we're getting a Mr. T fig… or some Mortal Kombat figs. *oh2* *oh2* :excited: :excited: :wub_drool: :innocent2:
  22. He isn't in the show, but Attuma is. (How do you have the villain without the hero?) I'd love Attuma, he seems likely.
  23. Great review, very informative. Thank you WhiteFang.
  24. Wow, those look really sharp. Clean, smooth, great display cases!
