Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LucyCol replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I like the idea of a museum on a 48x32 baseplate spread over 3 floors with each floor dedicated to a different Lego theme with miniature models done in a similar way to those created in the AFOL's flat in AS. -
Like the Berlin Brigade type camouflage on the tank.

The issue may be that there is no lift chain, (Lego like these things to work), and there doesn't seem to be a lot of space to put it in

I would think that they start the review process as soon as the project hits the 10,000 mark

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Lego.com UK has CG (10264) in stock, DD, BS, AS are all on back order which would suggest more sets are coming. 10265 Ford Mustang is also showing as back order -

8860 remained at the top for 7 or 8 years, I seem to remember it cost around £70 in the UK, it was replaced by 8880 costing well over £100 here in the UK, both sets were considered top end (and very expensive for the time) and sold in large numbers, it appears that Lego no longer has the creativity (or will) to produce a large generic car, preferring to tie in with car manufacturers. Oh and both sets had 'B' models. -
Still a bit odd in that the window appears higher that the roof line, but would need to see different angles. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LucyCol replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Didn't realise my little off the cuff comment was going raise so much angst amongst members over the state of various public transport systems PS, I live in an area of the UK where buses are well liked, clean, reliable and for the most part on time Now can we get back on track discussing what we'ed like to see in next years modular? -

Gotta have the mini Claas, just because it's cute -
Akro-Mils make these dollies for transporting cabinets - they are not cheap

A fair few on eBay (UK) anything from £20 upwards, I've already got mine
-
Can also recommend the Quercetti balls the only issue is that they are shipped from somewhere in Eastern Europe which makes shipping expensive, £20 on something that cost £9.29
