Beautiful scenery! And kudos indeed for the yellow castle (looks like a fairy tale one compared to the "earthly" winter scenery) -

Beautiful trees and ground! I wonder how a field would look using those green "Wolverine" claws as grass (either placed vertically or horizontally)... -

Cathedral of Pontelli
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
An excellent building dear sir!!! Architecture is instantly recognisable and those brick built gargoyles are epic (although I thought you would have used gray monkeys instead ). Ofc so are the one piece "dinosaur" gargoyles - really fitting! Stained glass technique is very good and whenever I have seen it, really elevates builds. Finally, go get some bananas for the monkey because he/she definitely does the hardest part in the whole worksite!!!- 23 replies

[MOC] The Lucky Seashell: a three-mast privateer barque (playset)
blackdeathgr replied to Legostein's topic in Pirate MOCs
If only TLG could give such a playable set these days!!! I am not fan of the sailors torso (they look like football players to me - I would rather use torso nr 76382) but I really really like the ship and its captain! Frontpaged would be well deserved! -
Post your Pirate Crew: Pirate Figbarfs
blackdeathgr replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Pirates
@Legostein Epic, down to earth and era appropriate minifigs and really clever ship!!! -
This diorama will surely look fabulous! Plain bricks give an abstract tone to the whole project but clearly and successfully convey what they represent (beaches, mangrove forests, high ground, lava, rocks etc). I also find there is nothing wrong with BURPS but if they are decorated here and there with some details (vegetations, slope bricks/tiles etc), then they really shine. Still, "bare" and as they are now and along the other pieces surrounding them, they capture that old school nostalgia that I sometimes regard as mandatory these troubled times. Keep up the great work!
