WINTER BREAK: Muggle entrance to the Ministry of Magic
Geertos13 replied to Yatkuu's topic in LEGO Licensed
Excelent Creation ! At first look I personally thought the Muggle street was extremly ugly ! But when I looked at it in detail I saw it was full of little details that make it very attractive instead. The Colors aren't very attractive though but it works. As for that "electric" phone booth is just so amazing ! Ingenious and beautifull at the same time. Having a backup floor sliding over the box once in the ministry of magic is just fantastic ! Really lovely Creation Good Luck in the contest ! -
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY ANYMORE

Hmm... I don't think so. The Winter Village Toy Shop has not 1000+ pieces. I think it's more for the exclusive sets, because for now, I've only seen big ( and expensive ) exclusive sets !

This is a very ACCURATE creation. As a HP fan, I absolutly loved this part of the movie. I must say that when I saw the Title of the Topic I thought of an outdoor scene. All the Harry's getting ready to fly off. I was pleasantly suprised to see that you recreated the inside. As you've stated, the inside in the movie is empty, but I still think it would have looked nicer with some more detail on the walls, or by adding the fireplace. The Yellow Minifigures look horrible to me. I have always prefered Fleshies when it comes to Licensed themes. But I guess you had not enough identical Flesh-headed harrys. Especially because they've never been over 7 sets with the same flesh-colored head. The Lamp design is simple but sweet and accurate to it's movie counter-part. I like the Yellow head you used for Arthur : it fits the character very well. Probably even better than the real one. He looks kinda crazy. But in a "How does a rubber duck work ?"crazy way. I am however still missing the scars on lupins face, and why didn't you use the original hair ? Though I must admitt that this one looks good too. Keep up the Good work Oky

As I'm already using a Harry Potter image, I decided to just make a new one

That Dragon certainly looks cool, but goes a bit "against the Harry Potter Rules". The Book stated you don't need any walls, or an island to keep the prisonners locked up = Dementors is all you need. You didn't have dementors, that's okay but for me the Dragon doesn't really fit in Azkaban. If you're adding something that doesn't make it better, don't add anything at all. That's my opinion, But I recommend keeping it however ! Let's just forget about the Books and I must say.. That dragon ROCKS !!

Oups ! I posted a similiar topic in this forum Yesterday... Silly me ! I can tell you however, that the Diagon Alley set, the Shuttle Adventure, and some big Technic Set ( unfortunatly I don't have the name ) Have this same sort of Packaging ! I received my New Winter Toy Shop Set with Instructions in a seperate bag too. I was told that the New Diagon Alley also included the Stickers in that same Package ... My Stickers will finally be in perfect condition ! These sets seem to be all "exclusives" and I noticed that the Carboard including it had only one size : I found a picture of it on the internet :
-
Ah, that means that we've already got several sets with this form of packaging... As you said it might only be for big or exclusive sets. For now, all our examples are pointing in that direction. Agreed ! LEGO finally listened to all the complaints !!
-
Ha, well that was no what I was thinking off when I talked about a TV series.... But I guess that could work It's very unlikely though, with all the young fans, and the people who'll yell at Warner Brothers : YOU'RE RUINING THE BOOKS !!!

Hellow Fellow Eurobrickers, I got the Re-Release of the Winter Toy Shop for Christmas this week, and I was pleasently suprised to see that the Instructions were packed in a seperate Plastic Bag with a cardboard so that the instructions don't get warped. I was informed in the Licensed Forum that this was also was the case in the Exclusive Diagon Alley set. Instructions and Stickers were packed seperatly. Is this a new LEGO idea ? And is it applied to all sets ? I also got a recent Prince of Persia set but it wasn't included in there... Unfortunatly I forgot to take a picture, But I luckely found a picture on the internet. That exact same sort of packaging came with my Toy Shop. And we can now, thanks to this picture, see that this set, ( I'm a complete novice in LEGO technic Knowledge, so I hope some of you will point out which set this is ) has also this form of instructions in a seperate bag. Does anyone know if this will be applied to all sets, or is it just for big sets ( I'm basing that Idea on the fact that all the sets I've seen that have it for now, are pretty big. I also noticed there seems to be only one size for the Cardboard, which means it can't be include in all boxes with different sizes... So, is there anybody out there that knows what all this is about ? I'm not complaining, because I'm glad my stickers will finally be in perfect condition. Greetings, Geertos13 PS : I didn't really know where to post this, and I hope this is the right place. If there is an already existing Topic in an other forum, MOD's feel free to move/delete it.

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Geertos13 replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
I got that too, with my version of the "re-release" of the Winter Toy Shop. I do hope they keep it. It looks like LEGO has finally listened to our complaints -
Yes, but you shoudn't forget that Star Wars has still a succesful TV Series running... and I seriously doubt that we'll have a harry Potter Animated TV show well, now that I think of it... an animated Harry Potter cartoon would probably get some fans.

Review of set LEGO Harry Potter 4752 - Professor Lupin`s Classroom
Geertos13 replied to Daniil K.'s topic in LEGO Licensed
The fact that your english isn't perfect shoudn't block you. From what I've seen so far, your english is decent and good enough to understand what everybody is saying. The decision remains in your hands of course, but english shoudn't bloc you. They are loads of foreign - non english speaking members on here. As long as you can make yourself clear, everything will be fine. -
Well, this isn't really helping me I just started the non-abridged, full version of the novels. And looking at how long it is. I am starting to get depressed... Well.. I'll just have to put myself together.

FANG !! I was very disapointed they didn't include him in Hagrid's Hut ! If they make them, please let them do a similiar mold as the one in LEGO Harry Potter years 1-4. That one was so perfect !

Review of set LEGO Harry Potter 4752 - Professor Lupin`s Classroom
Geertos13 replied to Daniil K.'s topic in LEGO Licensed
Great review of what seems a cool set. I have collected the Harry Potter LEGO since they first came out, but unfortunatly, I never got my hands on this one ! It's the only one I don't have from Prisonner of Azkaban I have all the minifigures though, I had loads of Harrys and got Lupin with the Shrieking Shack, I have a few snapes and ordered Neville's head from Bricklink. It's nice to see people are still interested in reviewing the HP lines, especially with the new sets that came out recently. -
Nice dreams but = Forget it ! That amount of minifigures is an impossible suggestions. I think we'll be lucky if we get more then 6 ! looking at the box size and the age rank. This will never reach the 80$ in my opinion....

weel I was trying to say, that if you changed the general form, ( right now it is one wall )If you could keep that wall, and then make the ground go as a circle. Something like that. You should have the wall, and then in front of it, build a baseplate and make it look like a circle. You would have a half circle. And then have the statue in the middle, against the wall, and have the fireplaces at both sides of the statue. And then in front of it, officers, wizards, the ministry police and so on...
-
Agreed ! I'd love it to stay like this, at least for a bit after the HP month. It's really nice, and everybody has stated it, this fits winter too. Winter is not over yet, so I hope we'll keep it !
-
Woooah ! A Great New Banner ! It's absolutly lovely ! I'm working on my Winter break entry ! I'm in the Harry Potter mood ! I assume you made this Hinck ? If so, Congrats to you !! Thanks for all the HP happiness you're giving us during these lovely and joyful christmas times !!
-
Ooh Awesome !! Keep us updated in the Bricks Flicks and Comics Forum then I'm already exited about what you're gonna bring us ! are you really going to make everything ?
-
Yeah I guess that explains it all ... You made me willing to build a miserables MOC. BTW I would go for the the Musical actors. Much cooler

Oh yeah sure. Les Misérables is a french book by revolutonaire ( Hope that's the way you spell it ) writer Victor Hugo. He also wrote "Notre-Dame de Paris" that book inspired many movies. One of them is the Disney adaptation. Les Misérables is a real master-piece. It was also turned into a few movies, and has been transformed into a stage Musical. That Play is still in Production at Broadway and some european countries. The plot is about an old man, Jean Valjean, that stole a bread and was arrested. Javert, the police officer sent him to prison and Valjean tries to escape several times. Once he gets free, he wants to save Cosette, a small girl living the Thénardiers, creepy and thilty barkeepers. Around that same time, Enjolras, a young student, tries to put on a revolution. The book has many side-stories and is oftenly studied at universties. look it up ;)
