Hello, I am planning on taking my kids to Legoland Florida this week, and I have one voucher code (free for one child with an adult's ticket) from a Lego set that I bought a while ago. Does anyone have a code that they definitely won't use? If so, I would be grateful to anyone who would send it by PM. Thanks!

Old West Saloon, Bank, and Trading Post

This is a phenomenal scene! Is an old-timey locomotive next? -
Stunning! Even if they are just moments away from an ambush

If the $150 price is accurate, I'll definitely pass. By comparison, the Medieval Market Village cost $99 when it was released. That's about $122 today when adjusted for inflation.

What would you like for the next Castle line?
Lord James replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It would be refresshing to see castles that are not gray or black. Plenty of real castles are made of plain bricks. I don't think that look would appeal especially to Lego consumers, but a castle that's mainly dark red with some lighter Tudor elements would look good. -
LEGO Ideas Discussion

The final blacksmith shop looks good; I just wonder whether it would have reached 10,000 supporters if this was the original version. The same could be said of most Lego sets that are made as, you know, children's toys. -
I really like how the color pops out. Lego needs to produce more of their highly detailed sets of this size.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Lord James replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A Marvel series would be amazing. Hopefully, it would include some of the most popular X-Men who haven't appeared in earlier sets. -
Really impressive! I could see Lego producing something like this for Christmas instead of the usual Santa-related sets.

Rules for printing AFOL graphics on garment etc.
Lord James replied to Ulrik Hansen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Some of the Lego Castle heraldry is generic enough that someone was already using it long before Lego did. I'm thinking especially of the Lion Knights and the shields with stickers from the earliest Castle sets. -
I'm just happy I got it in under 3,000 elements.
-
I'm definitely more in favor of historical sets, but I have nothing against including fantasy characters with them.

These look amazing! I would love an official theme consisting of ancient sets. Apart from the CMF series, this has been something of a blind spot from Lego, which has produced seemingly everything else (except for modern warfare, for obvious reasons).

Hi, everyone, I have a historically accurate but also nostalgia-inducing project for you. Please support and share! If you leave me a comment, I can find your projects and support them back as well! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4579400b-a126-447b-9840-b9b15074a47c

We had the Lego Ideas 2-in-1 ship and the Creator 3-in-1 ship in 2020. A proper Pirate theme in 2021 would be perfect for me because my son is just getting into Lego. Our port scene consisting of vintage and newly released sets would be friggin' epic.

Sweet build! You have a knack for drama. I would love to see this on tour once we have Lego exhibitions and other events once again.- 37 replies

Thanks! the bastion walls and curtain walls are made of 1x1 and 1x2 tiles on top of near-vertical plates, supported by hinges. The corners of the bastions use simple "Slope 75" peices as they're called on Bricklink. The only outer walls that are vertical rather than sloped are the short indented walls (not sure the technical term) between each bastion wall and curtain wall. Since it's vertical, it allows me to use a 171-degree angle, so the bastion walls are angled slightly toward the curtain walls (as proper bastion fort design requires) without there being an unsightly gap as is often the case when trying to replicate angular structures in Lego form. I appreciate it! The overlapping bluish gray plates also helped me visually integrate the structure. For a clearer view of how these large sections line up, here's the bottom of it: On the Lego Ideas page, I also embedded a video of me building the whole fort in Studio 2.0 (actually deleting each element, but in reverse). That should answer your questions.Crown Dominion Fortress (LEGO® Ideas project) - YouTube Thank you! It's a crane because, of course, every large Soldiers' base needs to have one. I'm not skilled enough to add a string digitally, but that's okay.

Hi all. My project is finally live. Since I wanted to challenge myself and incorporate all manner of crazy angles into a structure, I set out to solve the "bastion fort problem." I call the result Crown Dominion Fortress, a legendary citadel where many a battle over wigs is won or lost. I'd be happy to take your feedback on this project and discuss further below. If you want to see this become an official set, please support and share the link below with all your mates. Many thanks! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4579400b-a126-447b-9840-b9b15074a47c/statistics#content_nav_tabs SUPPORT NOW SUPPORT NOW

Good news: The Lego Ideas team may be a bit more lenient now in terms of allowing Pirate-related projects. They didn't accept mine a few months ago, but now they've changed course. The catch is that I submitted it as a Europa-themed design instead of Pirates. For an explanation, just google "Lego Europa theme." I call it Crown Dominion Fortress. Whether you're into the classic Lego look, new design techniques, or historical accuracy, I tried to make it work on all levels. Please take a moment to support. Many thanks for your votes! I'm not exactly new here, considering that I posted once over a year ago, but I just wrote a Throwback Thursday article on Brickset.com, so I figured I should get acquainted with the rest of the LEGO community. I plan on posting some of my MOCs and MODs eventually, though I don't expect to be as prolific as a lot of members of this forum. My themes of interest are mainly the ones that were current between about 1988 and 1995 when I was a kid: Pirates (especially Imperials), Space (Blacktron I, M-Tron, Classic, Futuron, and Spyrius), Castle (Black Falcons and Forestmen), and the first round of Aquazone. As far as the newer sets, I only get ones that I really think are especially cool. I have Medieval Market Village, along with Mill Village Raid and some related smaller ones. The Licensed themes don't really do it for me, although I do enjoy my small assortment of Marvel and DC minifigures. And now the lightning round... Favorite theme: Pirates I Favorite faction: Blacktron I Favorite set: Eldorado Fortress Favorite minifigure: Governor Broadside Set I've always wanted but don't have: Monorail Transport System Cause of the beginning of my dark age: turning 13...also Insectoids Cause of the end of my dark age: getting a light-up minifigure keychain as a birthday gift from my sister Thanks for reading!

Hi. First-time poster here. Recently I was looking up photos of old forts to find features that I could incorporate into a new LDD model of mine. I stumbled across some pictures of Christiansværn, located in Christiansted on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As the name suggests, the fort was owned and used by Danish colonial forces before the U.S. government annexed the colony. As far as I know, there aren't any other forts from that period that are plastered in yellow and white colors. Most are just bare stone or brick. In fact, all the oldest government buildings in Christiansted are mostly yellow and white. I can imagine Lego designers back in the 1980s looking through a Danish encyclopedia for ideas on how Imperial Soldiers forts should appear, and then finding photos of Christiansværn and all the other old buildings in Christiansted, which might have led them to design Eldorado Fortress, Sabre Island, Lagoon Lock-Up, etc. The last photo is a lithograph from 1839, showing that the colors weren't a recent development. So it might be credible. I googled to see if anyone else had the same theory, but it didn't come up with anything. Thoughts?
