Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Huigberts Builds replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Over in the Harry Potter topic (page 15) someone posted a link to a video of a German youtuber who talks about what he had seen on the toy fair. He also mentions marvel but I can't make out what he is saying. Something about collectors items and a set being as tall as his plush monkey (avengers tower maybe?). I'm not sure if I am allowed to post the link (nor if he's credible), but for anyone speaking German who's interested, it's over on the Harry Potter forum. -

Apparently so. It uses last years box art. Can't really make out the figures besides Grievous, who appears to be the movie version rather than the clone wars. I wonder if it's real. -

Yeah I had this thought as well, however a greenhouse has such a distinct look that you would think he would've named it that was that the case. Yes, that was what I meant. Thank you. I probably looked too much into it xD. Maybe, but I can't remember seeing such a scene. Only ministry related scene I remember at the burrow was with the minister arriving there in deathly hallows part 1 to talk about Dumbledore's will, but he was on foot. I thought I remembered something like that. But I can't remember what it looked like. Or do you mean that pumpkin car? I think €50,- won't be enough for a Burrow set. And I don't think these price include the D2C (usually have different set numbers). So I rather think €124,- might be the Hogwarts expension and the one around €83,- will be the Burrow. (Are these the real European prices, they are a little bit weird?). But I would love to get the tool shed. Nah don't be too disappointed. This is probably the better outcome if you want a good looking Burrow. Otherwise the piece count and the focus would've gone to the decorations and tent. Now they can do both separate to get as much detail (and figures) out of it. -

Apparently there's this German youtuber (posted in the Harry Potter topic) who went to the toy fair and has seen the sets. He couldn't talk about anything we didn't know yet, however (and my German is bad, so correct me if I'm wrong) but apparently the Advent Calendar comes with an exclusive Darth Vader with a Christmas sweater on which has a star on it (he might have said deathstar but I'm not sure about that). Can anyone who speaks German confirm this? (Not sure if I can post the video here, but it's over on the last page of the Harry Potter topic). Btw, I must also say that I don't know if the YouTuber is a credible source. I don't know him. So take it with a grain of salt. Just thought it was worth sharing. -

We don't know yet if it can connect or not. I assume it will be able to. The car is indeed a little bit weird, but some remakes over time are inevitable. I've watched the video and noticed he did indeed talk about a classroom and a hogwarts expension separately. However, and correct me if I'm wrong (my German isn't all that great), but when he wanted to go into detail about the expansion he quickly said something that sounded like "Oh that's true, that was that one." As in did he stop himself because he already talked about the expansion (in form of the classroom) or did he stop himself because he mixed the two sets up by accident (as in if he was almost going to say there was a classroom inside the expansion)? He didn't make himself very clear if I heard it correctly. Or maybe the display at the toy fair had separated the one set? Btw, I don't know if we already heard about it, but he said that the special cmf series (I assume WW) will be released in September (assuming the normal one is in May) -

This is exciting news. I didn't expect the classroom and another Hogwarts part. It could maybe be the same set? I was hoping for the Burrow as I wasn't too interested in a deathly hallows version later since the tent and decorations would have taken up a lot of the piece count. Although another car sounds weird. I rather expected the first set with another car to show up to be privet drive (Vernon's Car). And I wonder what the large set will be. -

Yeah they might be better off in a cmf series. Although I really wouldn't mind for Lego to just put them in any other castle piece. -

Still he keeps showing up in the games. And we did receive the 4 founders who didn't really appear in the movies either. So I guess everything is possible. -

Yeah I agree. We can't really expect anything in the marvel theme. Even if a character seems 100% likely to show up it's still no guarantee. I mean look at Spider-Man in the far from home sets. -

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that guy. Anyway this is gonna be an interesting wave by the sound of things. Either it's gonna be a huge success or a massive flop. Also we've reached a very important page number -

Yeah you're right. Each theme still has a budget for new molds. I just meant it wouldn't be as crazy as with wave 1. However I wouldn't be surprised if Lego went the easy route and used the Zane hairpiece, even in a cmf series. -

I don't think that ever withhold Lego from putting a character in a set. It's similar but not the same. Besides, he's basically the main villain for season 7, so I don't think his solo version that's a book exclusive will rule him out of potential figures. -
I would love to get a set based on the Coronet. It has such a unique design and it could come with great figures.

I'm getting kinda worried about Lego Overwatch its future. The sets are kinda warming the shelves with huge discounts and the theme wasn't at the toy fair. The sets being pushed back to coincide with the release of the second game could be true so that the theme gets a little push. But things aren't looking so good either way. -

Perhaps he means the "A" is red like in the Spider-Man game? I mean the old tower wasn't really dark either, more blue and grey. Only the logo was black. Does the LSH stand for Lego Super Heroes? -

True, but the first Harry Potter wave was an exception. They even got some of the mold budget for Jurassic World. Something we can't expect to happen again. Then again, I still agree the cmf series is better off chosing different characters. Grindewald will have another chance when the third movie comes out, many other characters might not. -

So according to the Instagram leaks most sets are clone wars/prequel based. I'm getting pretty excited now. -

I was just thinking about how we haven't gotten a proper Gryffindor Common room since set 4722. It included a chair, table, bedroom, printed cardboard fireplace and most importantly the portrait of the fat lady. Which we really haven't gotten since the yellow faced times (not including the damaged version without her from 2004). After that we've only gotten a few fireplaces and now with the new wave 2 beds that could only fit figures with small legs. I really hope we'll be getting a set which at least includes the fat lady portrait since no common room has felt like a real common room without it. Of course I want rooms for the other houses as well, but they wouldn't really require any new prints like that. Finnish it of with a fireplace and 1 or 2 armchairs and it will at least look somewhat like a complete common room next to the bedroom from the whomping willow set (even though some bigger beds would be nice.) I know, but there are many more figures that have a distinct look but with a more important role. Think about Kingsley, Tonks, Percy, Bill, Lavender. Which are pretty likely to be sidelined in sets for other characters, since they mostly appeared in scenes with many characters on screen (since there's only a limited amount of figures in each set.) I have no doubt we'll see Rita eventually, especially since we've already gotten the one set in which her scene takes place, but I see her as more of a series 3 figure. Especially as the focus is now on order of the phoenix and half blood prince. That would be nice, but I think Lego only gave us 2 hogwarts sets in wave 1 to show the connection feature and because the theme's future was uncertain. They'll probably go with a more diverse combination of sets with 1 big Hogwarts part for each year. -

I have pretty high hopes for the Avengers Tower. Sure I expect a small helicopter that would be able to land on the helipad but that's roughly $20,-. The tower probably isn't too much bigger, maybe 1 floor, but I'll take it even if it's the same hight (smaller is unlikely because it really wouldn't be a tower anymore at that point). I just hope they'll get the shape right and make a somewhat more interesting interior. On a sidenote I really don't have any hopes for this supposed Iron Man 1 related set. It's probably a figure inclusion at best, or even more likely just a small accessory that's related to the movie like "proof that Tony Stark has a heart" -

Yes I was. I can see Karkaroff happen, but I'm not sure if a character like Rita Skeeter will appear anytime soon in a cmf series. She's really not that important in the movies compared to other figures we still need. Still would be nice of course. Speculation won't do that much harm, but I agree that if people assume too much they'll indeed set themselves up for disappointment. -
Oh I see, thank you for the clarification

Yeah I also don't see second task Fleur and Cedric happen anytime soon in the sets. Even though we've gotten her sister, but really that's maybe just some generosity on Lego's behalf. Besides she would work with just Harry for obvious reasons.
