  9. i'm a lucky one, the Lego store is just around the corner, my wallet thinks Oh No. 1) received the VIP card when I did my first purchase in the store. 2) effective 5% discount, non official store's give -10% till -15%. 3) It influence what I buy. 4) a larger selection of Pick a Brick's in the store, 5) the store I go they are friendly and always willing to help.
  10. I went to the local Legostore (Belgium) and the minifig where soldout in 15 min, in Germany they get new ones don't pay ebay prices.

  13. @Asper nice topic, a year ago i order some Pi's, Sbrick's and reed switches but have no time to make somthing working like you do. I also backed on kickstarter a Bluz, a cloud connected bluethooth LE kit.
  14. It's nice to let kids controle your trains but you have to build in an override controle, give them just 2 pushbuttons, back and forwards and a timer. I did once, but that was a long time ago, a track controlled by one button, a timer and a low noise buzzer.
  15. dr spock has a point and use a wire with 1,5 mm² thickness. isolated into "blocks" and controled by its own transformer thats in real live the same.
