    I’m kind of hoping the Great Hall set is $100 on its own so we can get a huge and perfectly detailed representation of it (we need all four house tables!) but my wallet is definitely NOT hoping for that!

    Yep. If I’m paying $500 for a castle, it better be beautiful. It’s good that they’re doing the Great Hall separately since now they can focus more on the towers and other sections of the castle for the D2C. I’d love a humongous Gryffindor Tower large enough to have a tiny office for Dumbledore in the side turrets, but a tower that big is impossible.

    $500, exactly what I was expecting. American prices and euro prices usually match up exactly but $485 is an extremely strange amount to pay. I’m very happy with a castle this large. Harry Potter got me into Lego back in 2010 and its return makes me very excited and happy! I’ll definitely sell anything I need to from my collection to get this set.

    mariopower has posted another D2C list with American prices and confirmation on subject matter. The Creator and Star Wars sets are identified and the “licensed IP” set is now listed as “Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle”.

    D2C sets are never listed with the retail sets and details always come out much closer to the release date. If these new rumors are true, the Great Hall is just a retail set and definitely not the D2C.

    It just means any licensed franchise that Lego produces sets for, like Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. However, this is a generic licensed D2C set and the theme hasn’t been announced yet. It’s likely a Harry Potter set given all the rumors about a Harry Potter D2C, because if the theme does have an exclusive it has to be that one on the list.

    His page has been taken down like 3 times since I followed him a month ago. It was posted on his backup that’s still active. His information is always reliable. The image was just his own list of the D2C sets he knows are coming. 3 Creator ones, 2 Star Wars, 1 Infinity War, and 1 Licensed IP at €485.

    Why exactly is the new hybrid a spoiler? And that’s my argument for it being in the biggest set- make consumers pay the most money for the coolest creature.

    Exactly. Look at Infinity War, for example. We know the D2C price, but figures from retail sets and details about the sets have been leaking out for over a month while we haven’t heard anything about the D2C. With exclusive sets they often only get revealed when Lego does the press release.

    If the Sanctorum is indeed modular style with a pizzeria, apartment, and then the actual Sanctum Sanctorum only on the third floor, I’ll be really disappointed. It’s weird to mash three buildings together like that. However, if it looks like just the Sanctum Sanctorum from the outside it can still be used for display and the interior can be modded to just be the Sanctorum.

    Yeah, but they could easily put it in the big set with a couple other dinosaurs (like the Dino Defense HQ).

    The axe is supposed to look like a part of Groot, since Groot gives Thor part of his body to act as the shaft after the axe head is forged.

    Yep, it’s been confirmed for a while that Hogwarts will be visited in the new movie. I’m expecting a D2C Hogwarts to go the UCS Falcon route, because that would be the best way to bridge the franchises under the new “Wizarding World” banner these sets will fall under. I’d love to see Newt, Tina, Queenie, Jacob, young Dumbledore, Grindelwald, Voldemort, old Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione, and Harry as the figures in the set along with some teachers from the HP movies.

    Really glad he’s a bigfig, and disappointed that there’s no Peter Parker. I hope we get one in the Homecoming sequel sets. The set build sounds AMAZING! I adore buildings and I prefer them to vehicles. Does the set actually come with Peter’s bedroom??

    Thor’s axe revealed by mariopower- looks awesome! The twig they used really makes it look like it’s made out of a piece of Groot. Love it!

    Sorry, my mistake! The Hiker’s hairpiece is dark tan on BrickLink, but Thor’s hair does look lighter in the better pictures. It must be nougat.

    Nope, it’s not nougat. I have that figure and the hair is a lot more organish than Thor’s new hair piece. The Hiker CMF figure comes with a dark tan part, not regular tan, and that’s what Thor comes with as well.

    I’m apprehensive of every movie beginning with Fantastic Beasts: *insert title here*. Especially because we know that the core 5 will matter less and less as time goes on. This is a series primarily about Grindelwald’s rise to power, and I think the beasts will certainly be sidelined as time passes. However, I loved the first movie (much better than the HP movies for me, Yates couldn’t screw up another amazing book when he made the FB movie) and I’m excited for the second. My main worry is Johnny Depp playing Grindelwald. Johnny Depp is a horrible choice for Grindelwald, and I’m shocked that J.K. Rowling would choose to keep an alleged abuser in a main role in a five part film series. Grindelwald is meant to be charming and seductive- people follow him because of the allure he provides and his passionate ideas. He has so much more humanity than Voldemort, who only had followers because of his power. I feel like all of that humanity is lost with Depp playing him. Colin Farrell would’ve been a much better actor to play Grindelwald for the whole series. My other worry is about the Dumbledore/Grindelwald love story. That’s an extremely important part of their relationship and why it took Dumbledore years before he finally faced his old friend. However, Hollywood doesn’t seem to be ready to go all-out with any LGBT+ characters, and I don’t think J.K. Rowling will be the one to spearhead the change. I expect no mention of their love and Rowling to just say something like “he was trying to move on and forget about it, which is why it’s not present in the movies”, and that would really bother me.

    I’d be okay with them downsizing a Mosasaur a bit as long as we get one. I feel like it was the breakout “dinosaur” of Jurassic World, and the rumored submarine chase scene in Fallen Kingdom seems like too big of an opportunity to miss. I think Lego knows it needs to diversify their dinosaurs, I just hope they’ll actually do it.

    I believe it’s the same hair color. Sadly, no. I’m desperate for information as well. I’m assuming it’ll be the Sanctuary II, Avengers Academy, or a UCS style Quinjet (which I would not be opposed to at all).
