I’m not sure why everyone is always surprised at LEGO reusing CMF prints as if they haven’t been doing that since 2017 with the LEGO Batman Movie.

I’d love if they did a Marvel CMF where series 1 was MCU, series 2 was comic based, and alternate like that for multiple series. I think the MCU can easily turn out at least 2-3 series on its own between characters we’ve never gotten and characters we need variants of. Hell, you could make a CMF for MCU Iron Man alone, and I wouldn’t complain for one minute.

Summer 2018 was almost 2 years ago, not 3. I don’t think any of us can speak for how well a set/theme sells as we only have local information.

I noticed in a review of the WW84 set that Cheetah’s new hairpiece looks to be exactly the same as Proxima Midnight’s, just without the horns. I find that really interesting since I can’t think of an instance where LEGO has “removed” part of a dual molded piece rather than “adding” one (like the bicycle helmet/hair from CMF Series 19 or the tricorne hat with hair from Series 20).

Wow, that’s insanely rude. Just because something doesn’t sell at your Target doesn’t mean it doesn’t sell anywhere else, believe it or not. And last I checked, we got Justice League sets in 2018 with Killer Frost, Reverse Flash, etc. Cheetah’s hair seems to be Proxima Midnight’s hair piece with the horns removed!

If Batman didn’t sell then LEGO wouldn’t make several Batman-centric sets every single year. And if the theme is dying why would they go to so much effort to produce an entire CMF series with several new molds? Wonder Woman’s hair does look awkward coming out of the helmet, but it also looks super awkward in the movie itself. For the minifigure I wish they would’ve made the hair sit flat against the wings instead of flowing out, more like Luna’s hair from HP which has that space built in for the satchel/scabbard piece.

I preordered in the US, my order lists the Easter Egg GWP and the bundle with gift as $60, and then underneath it lists the Adventures with Mario Starter Course and Monty Mole and Super Mushroom Expansion Pack sets as $0 each. I don’t think there are more GWPs.

Someone in the comments on Brickset says they picked this set up early at their local Target and the panels are printed!

I can’t believe the Bowser set is $100 with 1000 pieces and it includes that Mario figure. I guess maybe there aren’t minifigure sets, which would be very disappointing. The castle looks good though and the Piranha Plant expansion set is nice but seems expensive for $30...

That’s not the inside, it’s a picture of the base of the satellite dish when the dish is removed. I think there is an interior though, as there’s a door with a sticker on it that Maxwell Lord is coming out of in one of the images. I also think the gold satellite pieces could be either stickers or printed. It looks like the gold design goes right to the edge of the pieces, which makes me think it’s a print as it’s not as obvious as the stickers next to the door and on the door, but I’m not sure. EDIT: There is an interior, it’s shown in a picture of two kids playing with the set. It’s open at the back and there’s just a platform for Maxwell Lord to stand on and stickers on the walls on either side of him, while Cheetah films him with the camera.

I love that box art. It does make the set seem like more of a collector’s item like the SDCC exclusives, and I think it’s a clever way to market it since it’s the only WW84 set. Why show the build on the front if it’s the only set for the movie? It’ll definitely jump out at people who want LEGO merchandise for the movie. I’m super excited for this set!

Harley has red and black dip dyed hair in The Suicide Squad next year, so hopefully they’ll make comic based sets to coincide with the release like they did last time and include a new Harley!

The new Patronus mold is nice, but those front feet are huge and slightly off-putting. Luna with dual molded legs sounds great, I can’t wait to see that figure!

Yeah, the main cast of 11 will definitely be able to spread across 4 sets, especially with the Deviants/Celestials most likely being brick-built and not competing for minifigure slots. I’m assuming Sersi, Ikaris, and Dane are the most likely contenders for having repeat figures. I’d love both normal suited up versions and civilian versions of Sersi and Dane.

This set is great! I love Cheetah and Wonder Woman, the new molds and new prints are amazing. I really love these figures. Maxwell Lord is crap, though. Why do they always reuse pieces? There should’ve at least been another head they could’ve reused for him that wouldn’t look so young. For a $40 set with a reused Maxwell Lord I think Steve Trevor should have been in here. The satellite dish is an awkward shape and if those are all stickers that’ll be a pain, but it’s a pretty good build. I hope it doesn’t get pushed back.

Yeah, people are never happy. There would be complaints if they printed the mask again and this new mold is really nice. Add the Mohawk and it’ll look just like her helmet. I don’t think it needs any printing at all, the molded detail and white eyes are plenty compared to other helmeted Marvel figures.

I really like that helmet. It’s large for sure but that’s to be expected with most molded helmets, and I’m really happy that there’s a hole for the Mohawk piece. I didn’t expect the helmet to be dual molded with those white eyes, either, so that’s awesome. Can’t wait to see the full figure!

I’m sure we’ll get another Bellatrix figure down the line and hopefully that one will have skirt printing. The centaur looks amazing! I can’t wait to get multiples of that set!

Greyback looks great, Bellatrix is okay. I love the figure anyway but the reused head and lack of leg print are disappointing. I don’t like how LEGO leaves the new dress piece plain for some characters because it makes them look a bit unfinished (Seraphina, Voldemort, and now Bellatrix). I’ll definitely get duplicates of the CMF so I can use that one’s face. Luna looks great, and I think everyone’s making too big of a deal about the legs. LEGO doesn’t seem to care too much about the consistency of the leg height. HBP Luna in the CMF never should have had medium legs (Neville shouldn’t have had them either) but they gave us new colors for the piece so I’m glad they did.

I wonder what those other two figures are. Hopefully new characters! I’m excited to see all the new figure designs. I hope the agents are good- we haven’t seen a SHIELD agent since 2015.

I didn’t realize the Wonder Woman set might be a May release- that makes me feel a lot better about the lack of info/leaks about it.

Holy shit, a $400 Diagon Alley?? I really think 2020 will be the best year for LEGO HP ever. The centaurs are amazing and the set they come in sounds incredible as well between the figures and Grawp being another giant minifigure build, which I adore. Diagon Alley could be crazy for that price, and I can’t wait. Better start saving up now!

I haven’t seen a D2C list floating around for this year- is this Diagon Alley D2C an actual rumor or just what people want to see?

I agree that targeting AFOLs with sets like these is game-changing, but it’s not as impactful following the busts/helmets they’re making as those are also targeted towards adult fans. I’m still excited but I was just expecting something else since we ruled out mosaics so quickly.
