Yeah, I’m usually not one for customizing small bits in a set like changing some interiors. When I customize I usually go crazy (for example, I made the 3 floor Avengers Tower into a 10 story one), but with the Astronomy Tower I’m definitely gonna swap out the door frames and 2x2 round bricks with holes and I’ll probably end up modifying the interiors of some castle sections because I definitely don’t need so many potions rooms.

We’ve gotten one classroom in the Whomping Willow, but then there was another section of the same size for Snape’s office. Then there’s the empty room in the Great Hall with the cauldron which I consider an extension of the classroom, the Viaduct Entrance in the Astronomoy Tower has another potions classroom, and then there’s also Slughorn’s office in that set.

I love your setup! I’ve always loved the older castle sets because the 2010 Harry Potter wave is what properly got me into LEGO (bolstered by Pirates of the Caribbean the next year)! I’ve also never been too bothered about the interiors in the new castle sets- yes, the bare rooms in the Great Hall were lacking and we’ve gotten way too many potions rooms, but I appreciate the different things they’re cramming in!

Well damn, I went with PostNL because I don’t need the sets to come super fast as I’ve got lots of other stuff to build first, but maybe that was a mistake. DHL Express was only like €8 more so perhaps I should’ve gone with that as well...

For the US people who have received their Brickshop orders, did you choose PostNL shipping or DHL Express shipping? Thanks!

I desperately want to do that too, but I’m just not willing to sink so much money into that and I wouldn’t even have room to display it right now. Hopefully in the future I’ll make it happen!

The set was revealed July 25th and went on sale for VIPs in August 15th. The only thing that leaked before the reveal was one (?) bag of the nanofigures revealing that it was microscale, and then one tiny corner of the box leaked the day before the reveal I think. I’d guess Diagon Alley will be announced around the same time, mid-to end of July.

Yeah it happened last year, but seemed unlikely this year because Barnes and Noble didn’t know anything about an early release again and the sets were originally listed for July 1st on Shop@Home when they were revealed before changing to August 1st a couple hours later.

Well, if those sets release July 1st I’m gonna feel like an idiot lol. At least I still paid $5 less overall!

If I have the money I like to buy the entire wave at once and build smallest to largest, but I’ve never done it chronologically! Haha, I’m a college student and all of my spending money basically goes to LEGO, and I’ve been saving the points up for a couple years now. I never want to use them but this seems like the perfect time to! I also try to take advantage of double points whenever possible, and I mostly buy my sets directly from LEGO unless they’re ridiculously overpriced, in which case I seek out Amazon or eBay.

Glad to hear that worked out, I’ve seen a lot more of the site from the Lego Deals subreddit and people seem to like it a lot! I didn’t have a problem waiting until July but my argument is why wait for August when I’m paying the same price I would pay then, but I can get them early and before I move and have to take apart all my HP sets. The VIP points aren’t a huge loss to me because I already have enough to get Diagon Alley for free when it releases, so I’m really happy I’ve been saving them.

Haha, I’m glad I’ve started a domino effect of US buyers purchasing the sets from Europe. I never thought I’d be one to do this, but the one month release difference (July vs August) really does make a difference to me, and at these prices I couldn’t really say no. Getting all the sets from a wave at once is fairly important to me so I’m glad I could still do that! Also, if anyone modifies the Burrow to cover up the left side of the house I’d love to see pictures!

Wow, that’s super fast! Time to crack down and sort out all the other dismantling and building I have to do before these come! I auto filled my information and kinda thought it was weird that they didn’t ask for a state, but I guess the ZIP code would tell them what state you’re in even if there’s another city and street with the same name in another one. I believe PayPal converts currency for you, as I’ve had no problem ordering from several different countries in different currencies. However, they charge a 4% PayPal fee and 2.5% credit card fee, so I just paid with a credit card.

Awesome, glad to hear they’re shipping stuff out quickly! Since the Burrow isn’t expected until June 12th they’ll hold off until everything ships together but I’m fine with waiting a week or two since I’ve got so much other stuff to do anyway. The Astronomy Tower only went up a few days ago, but yeah I’d never pay that much to get a set early. That’s also good to hear! Have your boxes been in good condition? I’m sure it’ll be a different story with overseas shipping but that’s something I was curious about.

I couldn’t resist temptation and bought all the sets from Brickshop. They have the Burrow back in stock for pre-orders shipping on Friday June 12th, and overall the entire purchase was only $20 over the US retail prices so I couldn’t resist. It says expected delivery is June 16th-24th. Does anyone have experience with Brickshop ordering and delivery times? Thanks!

What’s going on with that rumored Hulk bust? The one that was supposedly like the Iron Man Helmet? Was it just a false rumor, because we’ve seen every other set for this year besides the mosaic? Also, is the new Hall of Armor set releasing on June 21st with everything else? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to plan out my spending.

If anyone in the US is looking to buy the sets early, Zavvi.com has most of them and I’ve heard their items arrive quickly after shipping. I just ordered the new Destiny’s Bounty from them but haven’t bit the bullet on the HP sets yet since most are overpriced except the Astronomy Tower, although the Grawp set is only $2 more. I’ve still got sets to build from March and April and need to take apart a ton of stuff as I’m preparing to move, and I figure if I’m going to pay full price for the sets I might as well do it in August when I can get VIP points. Let’s see if I can resist temptation though!

Yeah, but it’s a comic. Just because the movie is iconic doesn’t make it a movie based figure, and even if it did that’s not comparable to the MCU. A mixed CMF might be ideal to make everyone happy but I just don’t think that’s how LEGO would do it, but then again I never dreamed a Marvel CMF would be possible in the first place so I’ll be happy with anything.

I can’t see them mixing movies and comics in one CMF. DC didn’t do that and while the DCEU isn’t anywhere near as popular as the MCU, I bet if we get a Marvel CMF it’ll either be all a comics mix like the DC CMF or it’ll be all MCU. I’d be fine with either but I’d definitely prefer an MCU one.

An MCU CMF could include the homemade suit and upgraded suit, so that’s already two variants right there. And the only Spider-Verse movie character left to do is Peni Parker, who I can’t see coming without her mech.

I don’t think an entire Endgame CMF is necessary, just an MCU one where the main 6 are in their Endgame outfits (Iron Man can be any random suit that we don’t have yet) and then the rest of the series fills in blanks like Odin, Heimdall, Ego, IW/Endgame Scarlet Witch, etc.

I’d definitely want an MCU CMF first. I want the gaps in Endgame variants filled in and the major gaps in villains. I know many people won’t agree, but honestly I’d love an entire Iron Man CMF with a bunch of his missing MCU suits.

If there’s a CMF I definitely expect it to be MCU based. Why would they do a comic based one when it would be so much easier to do one based on the movies? They could fill in the gaps for Endgame and other waves.

Is anyone else having a lot of trouble with the motorization and the app? It never works for me. When I use the Batmobile controls it does but the actual Haunted House app section is confusing and doesn’t do a good job of explaining how to make the thing work.

For new molds, I’d love to see a molded Elder Wand (though that may be difficult) and a Resurrection Stone. The Stone could be just a print on a 1x1 tile or I guess they could use a black pyramid piece. I’d also like new Horcrux molds but it just seems like they’d be difficult given how small most of them are.
