  1. Hi guys, Lately I've been very busy, so I didn't have much time to build and work on this project. But it's for a good cause. I don't know how to change the topic into something else because it's no longer a crane truck and it's no longer 6x6. Here are my latest updates to the truck. I wanted to try and build the 8x8 version for a long time now and i've finnaly worked some stuff out to make the best tatra model I can make. The cab is still unchanged from the last time you've seen it, that's because i'm a bit lazy and I wanted to make a good chassis first. I also wanted to make a realible steering system for the 8x8 configuration. It's not totally finished yet but few changes are needed. Enough talking time for some pics
  2. Looks incredible! Love the white colorscheme
  3. Sorry for the lack of response, I've been a bit busy. Im not sure I will finish the crane, but the truck still lives. At this point its a cab with some axles and a chassis. In order to move forward I need some bricks and pieces. Hope I can order the parts soon. These kind words motivate me to finish the model. At this point I am also testing different chassis, axle outputs, steering setup and the suspension
  4. I like it, maybe the weelbase could be longer but other than that great job!
  5. Beautifull! love the red with the white. Great job
  6. Thanks, yeah I was just messing around with some parts and it worked haha I agree on the color, its back to DBG. No still running the same setup as before, still haven't fixed it
  7. Hi guys, I'm sorry for not posting anything lately but it has been a bit busy. I made a final (i hope) cab for the truck with the right color. Still a bit struggling with the crane but its almost done. What do you guys think? Red or not?
  8. At this point I'm still not happy with the front suspension. It uses one shock absorber combined with a pendular setup. Will keep you guys update if anything has modified.
  9. Update on the cab, it has a face now What do you guys think? (Crane is of the truck because I'm finishing it).
  10. I'm thinking of a way to integrate that. already have a idea. thats one way to do it
  11. Here's the LDD file for the front axle for the 4x4 or the 6x6 version. Tatra Front Axle.lxf Here is another prototype I'm working on for a 8x8 version Tatra Suspension 8x8 Setup.lxf
  12. At this moment its dark bluis grey, and thank you. The cab is almost done and I will post the ldd file of the front axle in a hour or so
  13. Little update from today's progress. Started making a cab for the Tatra. Be my guest and try to guess the model I'm not sure if im going to keep the color, but for now I like it.
  14. Thank you! The motor I'm currently using is a xl motor for the drive and a m motor for steering
  15. Here are some pics of the bottom of the truck. I still need to order some parts to make the axles final. I will upload the LDD file for the axles soon.
  16. Thanks, it's a pretty simple system. I didn't want to use springs in the rear because of the weight of the crane. I will make instructions for a base model, this means the cab and chassis only (different setups, like 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8). I'll also make a LDD file for the crane as well. This way you can choose what you want to build, a model or a trial truck.
  17. The promised pictures! At this point it is still a early version and I will change a couple of things, but for now this will do. Cheers
  18. Hi guys, A week ago I decided to build something with LEGO. My idea at first was to build a trail truck style tatra. Later that day I saw the TC8 competition and I thought I'm going to make a tatra with a crane (see pic below for a global idea). Functions: Drive (xl motor) Steering (m motor) Outriggers (manually) Turning crane (manually) Extending boom (manually) Lifting boom (pneumatic) Still not sure which body I should use, but need to finish the chassis first. I will post pictures a.s.a.p.
  19. Beautiful truck! The model really captures the soul of the Scania. Great job on the color scheme, always on point. Maybe I'll see you at Lego World
  20. [/img] Is this allowed? It's main function is lifting in difficult terrain. Cheers
