    Sure is -- apparently it's 3D-printed? Don't see the appeal there, honestly. I own the 2016 train, so I'll be passing on this one. I had already made my peace with skipping it for that reason, regardless of how it looked, but I do find its uncanny resemblance to its predecessor to be pretty lazy. On the other hand, the giant tree is anything but lazy, but I'm not sure who it's intended for. Is it a display piece? Is it an extremely expensive playset with an odd premise? Who asked for Santa's HQ hidden in a tree trunk? Is there a reason it needed to be $330 when Vader's Gingerbread AT-AT is a better novelty set for one-fifth of the price?

    Really like the look of the Snake Knight especially. That shield combined with the color scheme, the Kingdoms helmet, a cape, and a yellow plume (!) is pretty slick. If only we could see the front. The Horse Knight is apparently in the witness protection program so I will wait to judge until he steps forward to reveal his identity. The brick-built horses look better than I expected but I'm still not a fan, Creator rules aside. No one is buying this because it's a Creator set, they're buying it because it's a Castle set. The "no minifigures" policy was just as silly until they scrapped it in 2011.

    I find the idea that they completely redesigned the figures and added a whole new (Snake) faction to boot at the last minute kind of hard to believe, honestly. Has such a thing ever happened before?

    They probably each played a role but I think that this was the primary reason for the change. I don't think it's a coincidence that Lego stopped going to the toy fairs at the same time they started heavily cracking down on leaks. To think that there was a time fairly recently that we would get summer set prelims in December! I just don't like what it's done to the anticipation of waiting for a set to come out that you know will be good. These could both be stinkers, for all we know.

    I hate how long we need to wait these days, and really for no reason. They used to unveil all of the summer sets at the toy fairs in February! Now, we're not going to know what either of these looks like until days before they're on the shelves.

    I'm just now appreciating the irony of a horse knight faction that doesn't have molded horses If they're dark red, it could mean they aren't making the Griffon faction, which had dark red as a primary color.

    Wait a minute -- are we now certain that we're getting two Creator Castle sets? There's been some discussion about whether 31175 Unicorn Castle ($39.99 USD) is also a Castle set and not, like, pink. It'd be excellent to have an affordable Castle set for the first time in what feels like forever. Would you mind posting what the leaker wrote verbatim?

    Not thrilled by the brick-built horses, but that's what I expected. The real lede here is that if this is true, it's the first time in 12 years that we're getting an honest-to-God new Castle faction that isn't a one-off CMF. Very cool!

    Really encouraging that they're potentially keeping the Space subtheme around for a bit. I like the direction it has been going in and there is a growing amount of space-related excitement these days between SpaceX catching a rocket and the Europa Clipper.

    I would be very surprised if we didn't get anything at all. We have had consistent releases of some kind for each of the last four years: 2021: Blacksmith, Creator Castle 2022: Lion Knights Castle, Forestmen's Hideout, Viking Longboat 2023: Viking Village, Majisto's Workshop 2024: Medieval Town Square If this year was the "Year of Space," could next year be the "Year of Castle"? I've been waiting for Lego to reintroduce non-18+ Castle sets to get younger fans interested in the theme and they might finally be ready to do that. I'd also kill for a CMF series similar to the one Space got this year.

    I would, but I don't think I can! It looks like all I can do is add tags. A moderator seems to have gone in and removed the 2023 but the set number still isn't there.

    This is a nice upgrade! It looks tidier and is realistic enough to be used elsewhere. Maybe two Fright Knights figures in just a few years are a sign?

    This is such an unsatisfying set. A retro throwback, but neither a copy of the original nor a modern-era update. The same design flaws as it had 30 years ago. Two lackluster minifigures and one new reprint of one of the worst Castle torsos. A ridiculous GWP threshold just to obtain it. Wait for the Market Square, folks.

    I was fine with it because an out-of-place Majisto was better than no Majisto. If he's going to appear in a second set, I'd prefer them to change something about him.

    It would be weird if Majisto randomly switched factions. Here's hoping we get an updated Dragon Master or at least a new torso print. It would be a shame if the figures were the exact same as they were in the castle.
