Sorry guys, I'm new to SW Lego really and i wanted to see pics of any rumoured sets for second half of 2011. Is there any quick way of finding thr info without trawling through 412 pages?

Being fairly new to SW lego this is my first look at a steampunk SW Mod. All I can say is AWESOME!! Love it.

Great MOC, really well conceived and the photography is really good quality. good lighting and great angles!
-
that is incredible! Superb MOC, i'm actually pretty speechless.

Just not really sure i get the Forbidden Forest set if it is Harry, Voldemort and Narcissa. As a lego playset it makes no marketing sense. unless they add a Giant, possibly?? Or a couple of Death Eaters.

This is definately one of my favourites! really like the whole feel of the scene. A story well told visually!

Very nice entry. Really like the basement aspect. If i could say one thing that maybe does not appeal to me it would be that the exterior looks a little clean when comparing it to the general look of diagon alley. I think it's the light colouring making it look slightly too modern for my tastes. Great build though and good luck.

brilliant MOC!! Exterior and interior are both fantastic. You can't have had much room to spare on the brickcount! Well done.

Really great design, great concept and well executed. If i'm being picky i might say that the colour is too dark for those characters imo.
-
Nice moc! I wish TLG would produce some of these pieces in alternate colours. This would be amazing in black or grey.

Nice one Tom, so colourful and once again really good photographic technique to show it off to it's fullest. You should be proud.

WINTER BREAK ENTRY: Ministry of Magic: Magic is Might

Just gets better and better! really great execution of a difficult concept. -
Excellent idea and superb photography by the way! Would love to see it in minifig scale like everyone else but doesn't detract at all from the fact that it's a great MOC.

That's a smart MOC, very creative!

Great entry, very original idea and an elegant design. Really captures the feel of the movie too with the snowy exterior. Oh btw welcome to eurobricks!

That is stunning work, really inspiring. I now want to go home from work and work on my castle some more!!

I think the fact that the Hogwarts castle set has Professor Flitwick made it quite likely that Professor Sprout could make an appearance especially as she has no small part to play in the battle. I can't imagine that Neville would be left out of this set to be honest. Be nice to see one or both or Lupin and Tonks too.

No it's actually more like 5 castles! I managed to get some in tescos when they had a 3 for 2 offer. I sold off the duplicate minifigures and manuals to recoup most of the castle costs. For the actual Great Hall I probably needed parts from about 2 sets really. It's the rest of the castle that needs loads of the special parts you can only get with the sets. The base is 48x48 studs, very open at the back so that I can easily move the camera around for stop motion animating. The grand staircase tower will be added soon along with the main entrance, i'm not 100% sure yet on how i'm going add these.

Hi all, I've just created a Flickr account, thought it was an easier way to add more photos. Please feel free to have a gander if you get a few minutes. My link

Well i think you've just convinced me to abandon my entry and concentrate on my Hogwarts castle!! I think the roof is polarising people, some will love it and others won't. Personally I'm in the camp that loves it, really reminds me of Hogsmeade! Well done mate, a fantastic addition to the winter break contest.
-
Yeah post production is going to be fun! Got a few ideas to make it nice and eye catching I hope. I'd love to do something with the roof to make it "enchanted". A minor technical glitch is holding up the animating and Daniel Radcliffe was unavailable to do the voice over work this weekend. Thanks for the comments everyone, this project is proving to be a lot of fun (if a tad expensive!) hopefully the grand tower behind it will be complete this weekend. I am probably going to be slaughtered over lack of a canonicity but unfortunately funds are finite so I can't really afford to have to have a big tower and use it only to put some stairs in. Apologies in advance.

Thanks for the comments Gregorivitch. hopefully the roominess will help with the animating which I plan to start tonight.

WINTER BREAK: Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions
Vindice replied to Brick Chick's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think you've doen a really good job here. Love the idea of the dressing room. Could you may be add some more minifig mannequins and some different robes? I think you could make the layout a bit bigger and lose the external rear wall to extend the brick limit you've got. well done!
