  1. Pansy looks amazing, and I think that she has the best possible existing hair. :) The Tenth Doctor looks amazing. I've seen that hair and suit before, but never that face, as many of the people I know save that for Eleven and use Draco's face, coincedentally enough, given the other Slytherin in this photo. :) Also, great job with using so few pieces for the meta-crisis hand! I don't think I've ever seen one as good as yours. To be fair, I haven't seen that many at all, but yours is by far the best. Just curious, what's not purist about the Ninth Doctor?
  2. Wow! Beautiful figures across the board! Glad my suggestions were helpful! Sorry to hear that Lord Business got to your Royal Guard. As for Ice Skating Minnie/Bat Minnie () I think that the opposite side of her torso is still pink and black, and also lacks the ostentatious bat motif to boot! Moreover, I think that TLBM Babs's pink dress costume could work too, if you're willing to mix and match your shades of pink. I think I may have solved the "flesh versus light flesh versus medium dark flesh", problems that this thread seems to have been plagued by thus far: The Indiana Jones Cemetery Warrior head, or the ACU Trooper/Naboo Security Guard head can work for Jafar, Zander's, Aladdin's, or Raj Koothrapali's respective heads can work for Emperor Kuzco, and finally, Kordi's head could work for Lilo.
  3. Wow. It's eerily perfect. Thanks for the info! :) Keep up the great work, and happy building! - The Big Red Cheese
  4. Beautiful! What head is that on the Queen of Hearts? Ho hum. You sly dog, you. ?
  5. Purism isn't so black and white, but I think that most purists would consider cracking a minifig hand as being not purist. Generally, the rule is no painting, modifying, breaking, or otherwise directly altering the materials. I know that's a tough definition to work with, but, that's about it.
  6. The Flickr account of the guy who made this set can be found here.
  7. Mack looks suspiciously custom to me, and Skye's is the unnamed Pirates of the Caribbean mermaid.
  8. Aha! Thanks so much! It was driving me mad. :)
  9. Moderators: Sorry if I'm asking in the wrong area, but I wasn't sure where else this would go. In regards to the new DC Super Heroes Girls sets, I can't help but wonder who the heck that person is standing on the left on Lena Luthor on the box art. See the attached photo. For reference, I am referring to the pictures of Lena Luthor and co. in the left corners of all the DC Super Heroes Girls sets.
  10. Link/source, please?
  11. I get that. As a customizer, I'd personally scrub the back of the head, and then BL new one, and scrub the front, and alternate them when I want to show Dr. Najib or when I want to show the mummy. Of course, that may be prohibitively expensive, so like I said, I get where you're coming from. Sorry that you had to steal from other figures to make that Headless Spector. When that becomes the case with one of my figures, I use the part(s) on the figure that I like more, and then toss the other bits and bobs into a series of containers marked as "shared bodies" (I realize now that that sounds a lot like a serial killer out of context - :P ), along with a Post-It labeled with BOTH characters names, and then I wait until I get duplicate parts to unearth them again. On a side note, I'd love to see your custom Batman '66 Mad Hatter and Bookworm! Please post them, either in the custom superheores thread here, or over on Flickr. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I originally noticed these when you posted them on Flickr, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them pop up in my feed. As for the helmets, I agree with you that the dark gray one works particularly well, even if it isn't perfect. Eventually, I think I'll customize one of those helmets so that the colors match those of the figure. Lastly, as for Black Knight from Scared a Lot in Camelot: I love the helmet, feather, and Wickles head, but I'm a bit on the fence about the armor and legs. I'd recommend plain, or at least slightly less decorated black legs, and that same armor, minus the printing, or as with the legs, slightly less printing. Then, marry that with this extra armor piece, and I think it'd be perfect. :) In any case, a good job across the board, and I can't wait for the rest! Happy building! - The Big Red Cheese
  12. Ah. I thought that you were referring to getting rid of the Nizam head. No problem! I have a handful myself, and I've found them useful for many, many different figures.
  13. May I ask why you mind the reversible face? That Headless Specter looks amazing! I can't wait to see it with a white round plate and dark red bandanna, like you suggested. I must say, I love the way you made that candle, BTW. I doubt I ever would've thought of that.
  14. Beautiful updates across the board. I personally like Nizam's head on Kraven, but to each his own. :) Personally, I think your BtAS version looks a bit feminine, and the "creative" version looks too much like TLBM's Robin. I used similar combos for a Justice League TV (BtAS canon) version, albeit with the plain smiley or psycho gangster heads. Just to be extra clear: Selena: Her hair seems to be the classic ponytail, with visor goggles just sitting on top of it. Her face is real, but I'm not quite sure which one it is. Using this list, skim all of the images of heads made after 2014. (2015-2017). It should be in there. Her torso doesn't seem to exist, although I'm not 100% sure. Ed: His hair seems to be the modern combed back style. His face is real as well, but it doesn't exist in light flesh. Ed's torso is real as well, but as with his face, doesn't exist in the right shade. Ivy: She appears to be entirely the official 2012-2015 figure. Penguin: His hair does not exist (this is the closest equivalent) and the best of my knowledge, nor does his face. His torso, however, does. Harvey: His hat does not exist, per se, but this is the closest equivalent. Nor does his face, but again, this is the closest equivalent. His torso, however, does exist. Jim: This is his hair's closest equivalent, this is his face's, this actually is his torso, but I'm not sure what his pants are. Bruce: Strangely enough, Bruce seems to be a carbon copy of the classic Sony Peter Parker. Alfred: This is his hair, and this is his torso. Now, I am extremely confident that his face exists, but I just can't find it! UGH. I feel as though it's in yellow, not light flesh, though. Sorry to say. Hoped this helped a bit! Happy building! - The Big Red Cheese Nice job! He looks awesome, as does classic Spidey! Not really all that familiar with Azrael, but there's something off about the main J.P.V. figure. I don't know what it is, just something. BC and Robin look great. though! As for the unmasked versions, there's not much I can say. Beautiful! As for hair, either this, or this will work. This would be your best option, but unfortunately, it doesn't come in black.
  15. I just used the headress on other figures. I think that the head in that set works fairly good for the Mummy of Ankha.
  16. So that makes for a grand total of eight figures to look forward to? Wowza. I can't wait.
  17. I know how you feel! I've got a million and one works in progress, and I've got to organize all the BL stuff manually. :( On a lighter note: Am I correct in assuming that these 6 new figures will all be Scooby-Doo related? Finally, I can't wait to see everything you're creating! Happy building!
  18. Also, Fantasia Mickey: Any one of these hats, the standard Mickey Mouse head, the wrinkly torso that I originally suggested for Oky's Lilo, red arms, white hands, these legs, and toothed plates for shoes! (I'm not sure what color his shoes were in the movie.) Plus, there is a tan mop head in the Disney Castle set, which, when coupled with a reddish brown 6L or 6.6L bar, and maybe a few clip holders and/or other key bits, you can create the animated mop too!
  19. True, but OP is trying to keep it as close to the original as possible, and that's the wrong shade of red.
  20. No problem! Sorry there's no better choice for Merlin. As for SaLiC Black Knight, I think your selected figure topped off with Wickles' head will work just fine, and as for the WaNfaK Black Knight, I'm not sure but I think that dark gray would work best. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where'd I'd recommend looking at the bricks in person, which obviously, is an issue.
  21. I have seen your Ghost of Elias Kingston and Witch Doctor, and they both look awesome! Nice job on jumping the purist ship! :P Black Knight, from What A Night For A Knight! is actually fairly close to the pearl dark gray as used by TLG. Problem is that some of his parts aren't available in that color. I'm afraid that he's going to be a W.I.P. for a long while, or I'll have to change the color. As for The Black Knight from Scared a Lot in Camelot, his armor is actually black, which makes life far easier! :D I don't know how much of the rest of him you've already got, but I'd use this feather, helmet, visor, armor, and boots, coupled with the official Black Knight head if I were to make him. Also, I'd skim this page for inspiration. As for that Merlin, this hat is the most accurate, but sadly doesn't come in the right color. There are, however, some solutions. First up is a plain orange cone, second is a fez, albeit in a different shade of orange, () and lastly, we have this weird thing, but it only comes in red! There's a huge number of angry eyebrow heads you can choose from, but personally, I'd go with this one. Next, we have the beard, of which you have either the classic beard, or the modern beard to choose. Finally, the torso, (use fleshy hands, and either regular red arms, or some of the slightly decorated ones, like the ones that came with Captain Hook) and, last, but most certainly not least, the robes! Hope this helps, best of luck to you, and I can't wait to see your final results! Most importantly: HAPPY BUILDING! :D
  22. Thanks for the information, guys. Thank you for the picture. That's exactly what I was thinking! EDIT: Plus, Classic Thor, X-Men, Nova, Power Man, and arguaby Thanos! Look, down that river! It's a salmon! It's a shark! It's Kayak Man! I too, hope those legs are unprinted. You said it! Shazam, Flash (FINALLY!) Firestorm, I sure hope that they're not . . .
