Yes, you betcha. Others have done a good job offering justification as to why. I prefer spaceships over spaceshitboxes but I’d rather pay the full price and get a good build and GWPs then fork out 1/3 of the price for one figure. If it were any other character it probably wouldn’t have the same effect on me, I didn’t go out of my way to get the exclusive pilots and droids from previous UCS sets, but it’s C-3PO finally with his silver leg. LEGO has me hook, line and sinker and they know it.

Got my tanks today too :D I didn’t expect to enjoy the build as much as I did. The model is a nice compromise between the previous two versions. Figures are great, of course. Love that the tank can fit all 3 clones in it. I swapped the canopy piece for a transparent one from an X-Wing just to see how it looked, it was cool. I’m impressed by the size and the proportions don’t bother me at all. Scales really well with the recent AAT. There is always room for improvement. Maybe a weapons rack side build? Super battle droids instead of normal battle droids? More battle droids? Anyway, great set all round and probably one of the best value for money Star Wars sets on the shelf at the moment. I bought 4 at rrp, that’s still less money than 1 light cruiser.

I’d be keeping my eye on Amazon for the fighter tank if you don’t want to get it now from S@H, Amazon has been good for Star Wars sets this year. I don’t expect to be able to find the tank at major retailers like Kmart, Big W, Target, Myer etc. I rarely if ever see clone wars sets in person anymore. Supply issues are real for the 501st set, AAT, Gauntlet fighter, phase I blister pack etc… very hard to find the good stuff in this country. Beru was probably the second most requested figure behind Phase II Cody. I think most people are happy with the promo but after the dioramas from the last few years the execution could’ve been much better. The keyring looks alright. If I get it I think I’ll try and trade it for the Han keyring from the other year.

The landspeeder has me whelmed. Very ugly stickers on the front there but the rest is about what I was expecting. Really hoping it has wheels underneath for a hover effect. At least it’s something new, though I can’t help but think this is one of the rare exceptions where we would’ve benefited from a rerelease instead. Will wait and see what the promos look like in Australia before I buy…Beru is tempting but without having Owen I’m not very drawn to it, I’ve kind of already made peace with not having those two characters in my collection. Buying a couple of black skeletons would be cheaper and would fill the same gaps.

I’m still waiting on RotJ Boba with arm printing, but that’s a variant. At this point the most important characters we’re missing are some rebel pilots and imperial moffs but that’s about it. Plenty of aliens to ask for but most are unlikely because of the moulds.

I see your point, and as much as I agree and like to argue against this sort of thing, it’s only Beru. I’m sure some people will resent me saying “it’s only Beru”, but considering her role in the films and that Owen is locked in a now retired set it’s probably the best we could hope for. If the diorama sets do well I’m sure the twin sunset scene will be first on the list, then there’ll be another opportunity for Beru (probably without the skirt) Edit: just realised the skirt isn’t printed. Oh well, I think you’re right. Much more likely that we’re never getting Beru again. There will be backlash for sure, but it definitely could be worse. If they did this with Cody we would never hear the end of it.

Keen to get another chance at blue milk Luke even if I’m not that keen on the figure Some are noticing, but unless clickbait sites catch wind and drum up hate for clicks the Twitter mob is unlikely to notice. It’s been proven time and time again that the majority of people complaining about misogyny in and around Star Wars don’t put their money where their mouth is. Great promo, finally Beru… no Owen is a crying shame for those of us without the big brown box from 2014. Bet LEGO’s logic here is the tired old “but we’ve done it before” *eyeroll* Prices for him are gonna go crazy smh

Trying to find photos of the landspeeder, all I can find is a ridiculous escalation of the AT-TE rumour being posted by nobody accounts. In the space of about a week it’s gone from “possible AT-TE”>”AT-TE confirmed, 5 figures”>”2 clones, dwarf spider droid”>”Obi-Wan, Cody, 4 clones, battle droids, spider droid”… won’t be long till someone starts claiming it has Boga too

Pretty sure the designers already confirmed they had draft models for all 3 options in the UCS fan poll.

Yeah the rest of the character packs are being released over the next few weeks in the lead up to May 4th. I think North America has the classic character pack already but not other markets. I agree, voice acting has been great for the most part. I bet the clone wars actors had a lot of fun reading lines from the movies. Sam Witwer killing it as always. The only one that’s really stuck out to me was Qui-Gon, he sounds like Yularen.

Like TT games I forgot about that too. A crying shame for sure to see a such an important LEGO game staple hit the cutting room floor, but future DLC still isn’t entirely out of the question so I’m sure this will come at some point down the line.

How’s everyone finding The Skywalker Saga? I’m enjoying it quite a lot, I love that they’ve tried to really set it apart from the older games. In a lot of ways I still prefer the original but I think that might change when I start to explore the open worlds. Running around as C-3PO’s legs while forcing my teammate to carry the rest of the figure is something I didn’t know I wanted. I’ve encountered a fair few bugs, I’m sure they’ll be patched soon. Really hoping we get some more QOL updates for it, some really simple things are missing like being able to turn upgrades off. Didn’t get the blue milk Luke figure with it but I did get the Han in Carbonite steelbook, very happy with how that turned out. My only complaint with the game is that the damned Disney revisionists got their dirty hands all over this, they even toned down some parts of the sequels. I have to say that I enjoyed the sequel content a lot more than I thought I would. The levels were fun and the cutscenes were clearly made by someone who had no love for those movies. It warmed my heart to see that fishing rod and Holdo’s role in the story reduced to a mockery of The Last Jedi’s agenda that was about as subtle as the film itself. I’m definitely not a fan of the amount of planets and characters from the sequels, but considering most (if not all) of the original game characters and all the planets from the real Star Wars movies made it in to the game I can get past it. I would not be surprised to learn that Rey having a bazooka, jetpack and net launcher was a Disney mandate because it kind of feels like the entire class system has been built to justify that choice. Overall I think The Skywalker Saga is a great evolution for LEGO games. It definitely met my expectations, even surpassed them in some ways. PC players will be in for a treat when the mods start rolling in.

UCS Razor Crest seems incredibly likely to me given the pricepoint and size of the MOCs that are out there… also the window of opportunity to do the set while it’s still relevant is about to close. Will have to see how it pans out. Is there a thread for discussing The Skywalker Saga?

If that Kaminoan minidoll is real, I would like to know why they decided to mould a new minidoll torso instead of a new kaminoan head/neck for a normal figure. That said, it still looks great and I’m very excited to see Obi-Wan’s Delta 7 again, especially at a nice low price point.

It’s not an assumption, no jumping to conclusions, we knew this was coming 6 months ago and anyone who’s been paying attention to Disney and Lucasfilm’s corperate politics knows exactly why they did it. Let’s be real here, this a show that won’t even show a little bit of blood when someone gets a chunk of flesh bitten off of them. No way they’ll mention slavery, let alone explain why a ship isn’t called slave anymore.

Make fun if you want, at least try to understand why some people care. For 40 years basically all we knew about Boba was “he’s a bounty hunter who flies the slave I”, now apparently he’s not a bounty hunter and he doesn’t fly the slave I. All for some megablocks real world political semantics that nobody was complaining about (the only slave related complaints I saw directed at Disney were when they filmed a movie next to literal slave camps). This is not the first time Disney has messed with a beloved character’s history for no reason and it won’t be the last. This whole exercise just goes to show that even with people who care about Star Wars at the helm of content creation the studio will still meddle wherever possible.

And everyone here was insisting “it’s just so you can find the toy on the shelf” smh. Why can’t Disney leave Star Wars’ legacy alone???

UCS Falcon, ISD and Tantive IV all had similar symbols on their boxes and instructions that I haven’t seen used anywhere else.

I noticed that on the AT-ST box as well. I wonder if the art was done by LEGO's graphic designers or if it was supplied by Lucasfilm? I wouldn't be surprised to see the same shield appear on Hoth themed Star Wars products across the board. Took no chances this year, ordered 6 the moment they dropped last night (along with the Ahsoka brickheadz). Probably should have just stuck to 2 at that price but I needed to reach the free shipping threshold somehow.
