Funny, I don’t see ample stock of those sets you’re referring to. In fact, there hasn’t been ample stock of those sets at all and they’re already fetching ridiculous resale prices despite not even being retired yet. If you want those sets where I live you’ve gotta pay a 50% markup from resellers. So yeah, I’m going to continue believing that lego clone stuff sells out because that’s exactly what I’m seeing with lego clone stuff.

Of course you won’t see those two CW black series figures, they were limited release and they sold like hotcakes. X-Wings and TIEs warming the shelves because everyone has them already and they’re saving their money for the new wave of CW stuff, no stores near me have anything CW cause it all sold out day 1.

Microscale trench run sounds sweet, especially since I was never sent the last one with the A-Wing. This is shaping up to be a great start to the year, love that they’re taking risks with the display sets rather than giving us tired old system scale rereleases. Yeah, I’d prefer prequel stuff, but I definitely like the sound of these dioramas over another Y-Wing. I will say that it’s a bit weird that some of these are meant to be released in May and we’re hearing about them now…

Apparently a tree, a sunken x-wing and a display base isn’t enough. Knowing LEGO the figures will probably be new variants too. Resistance X-Wings from 2015 and 2016, although that was justified with different colour schemes.

As always there are people who missed the last one who would like the figures and build without resorting to buying on the aftermarket

2. He’s been in 2 sets. The combat speeder and the UCS gunship. Hardly a boring choice when they could just as easily give us Anakin, Obi-Wan or farm boy Luke.

After the sandspeeder anything is possible. I hope this one pans out, it could be the best set in a while if true. I’d be taking no chances on it this time, I’d buy the max allowed from s@h day one since Australia is still waiting on 501st battle packs and the AAT.

Contrary to what the gunship haters believe the designers don’t have anything against fans and they’re not actively out to mistreat any of us. It’s not the designer’s fault that some people are blowing their comments completely out of proportion. They have no reason to lie to us, they know how much we want minifigures we’ve been asking for a CMF for like a decade now. If they could do it they would’ve done it by now.

Counter point, can people stop bringing up everything he does in this thread? I don’t watch his videos but it feels like I know about it all because people keep name dropping him here, in a thread meant for set discussion. He’s not providing us set info we’re not getting from other sources so why does he keep coming up? He’s a YouTube personality, this thread doesn’t need to chronicle his every move.

My comment was referring less to what he’s up to these days and more to when I called him out on the same thing earlier this year and he basically said so himself. We did just get Dodonna in the X-Wing but other than that I can’t think of anything either.

Death Star could be anything, hopefully it’s Obi-Wan vs Vader and it’s not from the sequels. Bet $80 Yoda’s training is just the hut from 2018 slapped on a black display base. Hopefully it comes with the same figures as last time because I missed that set and I really want the dagobah figures.

I agree. Fans have been asking for buildable sabers for so long and now that we’ve got them they’re stuck as GWPs. At least the pieces they use are common, but still there’s the display plaque and the packaging.

MBS release schedule isn't set in stone, we got 3 D2Cs this year so anything can happen. The cantina isn't going anywhere yet, it's very popular. Of all the potential D2C sets, a UCS Razor Crest is one of the most likely at this point in time. If they're gonna do it, it has to be done before the show fizzles out in popularity. After the season 2 finale the show is more popular than ever, but it needs to do something even bigger to evoke the same reaction from fans and I don't see that happening.

In one swift move, LEGO will crush the aftermarket with a minifigure accessory pack consisting of Phase 2 Rex, Darth Revan and Cloud City Boba. At least the Eta 2s were different colors.

Counterpoint: the Death Star was never a legitimate rumour but because people can’t tell the difference between legit and fake sources the lie ran wild. AT-AT driver helmet just sounds like a recolour of the TIE Pilot. Hopefully Luke’s helmet isn’t the cancelled one, that’s the one I want the most. Mando could be cool if it’s done in silver. Hoth AT-ST is welcome news, especially since I said I wanted an ESB version of the walker in another thread not to long ago. Hopefully with the 18+ and the price tag they actually do it to scale and with the correct shaping for once, LEGO AT-STs usually resemble AT-STs but they get a lot of it wrong. Landspeeder is a complete joke. I’ve got almost all of the UCS sets since 2012 but this might be one that I skip. You just know they’re gonna turn around and say “whenever we go online we see so many people talking about a UCS Landspeeder”. We knew it wouldn’t be a prequel UCS but I was really hoping it would be a TIE Advanced or a TIE Interceptor since the original models look so inaccurate with their wings and colour choices. It’s gonna make the B-Wing sales look amazing by comparison. And you just know they’re gonna sneak in arm printing on 3PO and give Luke the poncho and the hat. Sigh, at least it’s something new but that’s no excuse for it to be overpriced and boring.

An ESB AT-ST is something I’d very much like to see. Almost every AT-ST LEGO has put out was the RotJ version.
