Dagobah and Cloud City have been criminally neglected by lego. Especially when you consider the ridiculous amount of Hoth sets that keep getting rereleased over and over again. I really hope we get a good bespin playset or line of sets like we got with jabba's palace soon, they're the biggest holes in the series by far.

Looks great from the back too, well done. Every time I see a post about a ucs falcon or a mod it edges me closer to falling down the dark path of enormous parts investments

incredibly excited !! 5 hours later and some very sore thumbs... this thing is truly enormous. You really have to see it in person to appreciate the scale of it. (ps i would like spoiler tags over these photos but I can't figure it out, I know the images are pretty big)

Nice representation, can we get some images from behind too?

That piece doesn't exist as trans-black yet so I would just wait for the release if I were you. Looks pretty good without it

The AT-RTs lego has made have always confused me. I mean, really, they are the absolute perfect vehicle to put in a battle pack, but they've made several versions that are like twice or three times larger than minifig scale. For a minimal amount of pieces you could make a small vehicle that's fun for kids and is cheap in terms of parts. I'll never understand that.

It's a nice idea but I think lego have you about expended their mould limit (is there one?) in preparation for the TFA sets later this year, which will require a lot. I don't think it's likely, but who knows. Lego have done some strange things

This is great! I feel inspired to make one myself now, I really like the shape you've got going. Angles are really nice regardless of accuracy

Absolutely incredible, I'm really impressed. Makes me want to build my own

I suppose that makes sense. I only have 2 of the old style, so it was an easy choice to make for me.

Great techniques there with the stray bolts flying past, I like them !

I think the term used is this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rise_of_the_Empire_era -
Yes theracker is right, I'm not sure how accurate the first version of the back is but it looks fantastic. edit: I found a really nice ref image, again I can't comment on the accuracy of this to the film models .

V-wings appear on screen in Revenge of the Sith in the scene with the repainted venator fleet observing the construction of the death star. 7915 isn't an EU set I don't think, whereas 75079 and 7672 are, for example. -
Recently bought 75040, 75082 and 75074 (snowspeeder, wheel bike, tie advanced) all on sale. I'm happy with all of them, the TIE Advanced is fantastic, as are all of the minifigs. Grievous is especially impressive in real life, all he needs is a proper cape.

Get some alcohol swabs from your local pharmacy shop. I sharpied a bunch of snowtroopers many years ago. When I got all my lego out and started to clean and reorganise everything, the rubbing alcohol completely transformed them, they look like new. I'll fetch some comparison pics in a sec. The areas that were sharpied mostly had no printing, but the printed parts that were swabbed are unscathed. Only some very light grey printing on a very old stormtrooper that was worked on with the alcohol for over an hour took any kind of damage, and all that resulted in was some almost unnoticeable fading on the belt area. Rubbing alcohol swabs seems the best way to go for sharpie cases. Like others have said do not use nail polish remover.

Rebel scouts are fairly cheap to acquire en masse from some BL stores -
Why the old version ? I BL'd a couple of the new scout from the ewok village a couple of weeks ago, I think they're enormously better looking than the old ones.

Thanks very much for the link! That's disappointing -
Oh yeah, I noticed that too. Was just confused. Yes, the inclusion of those must have bumped the price a bit but I'm glad to have more.

congratulations! I just wanted to say that I've been observing your progress on this for a while and it's really great to see, keep it up!

That's a pretty great solution for mini AT-AT feet

I got a 3rd kashyyyk battle pack today, and I bought a third death star battle pack the other day. Other recent buys for me were 10212 and 9526. I have been on a huge spree recently.
