  1. Interesting... Thanks for sharing Kevkipo! It's nice to know more about those two, they've been quite obscure characters so far. Vision's powers are pretty cool BTW.
  2. I myself believe joebiwankenobi's information, but think there may have been a misinterpretation, as joebiwankenobi said in a later post. Nowhere does the informant say that the new UCS is an AT-AT. He merely says it is an "Imperial Walker". I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that does not refer to a specific walker like the AT-AT, but the Empire's walkers in general. Thus, it's possible this new UCS isn't a At-AT, but a new walker from SW7/8 or from Rebels.
  3. Wow, thanks again for the review Just2good! This was the set I was most interested in seeing reviewed. I'll probably get this set, for a non-cw Ventress, and I've always been a sucker for Jedi Starfighters as well. I really hope this means there's the possibility of another set from this series, I really want Durge...
  4. Exactly the point. Its not lego deceiving or cheating you, it's a clever little design that looks great and is a perfect interpretation of a scaled down Bard's longboat. Besides, what would you prefer: a new, and possibly unnecessary, longboat peice or an inferior Smaug, with less unique peices and less character?
  5. See, I've read Children of Hurin (twice) and really don't think it would make a suitable cartoon. I loved it, and it was one of my favourite of Tolkien's legends, but it's dark, defeatist, brutal and downright depressing. Not something you'd see next to Star Wars Rebels. I've seen the argument that LOTR was dark, so I'll identify some of it's chief unsuitable parts: (BOOK AND EXTRACT FROM SILMARILLION SPOILERS BELOW, AS WELL AS SOME QUITE UNPLEASANT STUFF) The novel (and Silmarillion chapter, but in less detail) features: a battle, massive and epic, but with several graphic injuries such as a character getting shot in the face with an arrow, the capture and torture of a major character, enslavement themes, the massacre of a group of innocent elves by orcs, more torture, a major character killing his friend in a fit of rage, a dragon killing an entire nation (like Smaug, but worse) and incest! For anyone thinking a cartoon based on this particular material is a good idea, it is not. To sum it all up, this story to the Middle Earth mythology is like ASOIAF/GOT to the rest of modern fantasy. Spoilers end here. Anyway, going back to topic, does anyone know where it is possible to get sales on the new Hobbit sets? The fact Amazon is sold out is particularly worrying, although I hope they'll restock in the January sales.
  6. Wasn't the juggernaut (turbo tank) also rereleased the year after, just with a different box and non-light-up-lightsaber Windu? does that count as a rerelease?
  7. They could just do what they did last year at the Toy Fair, when the Ghost was revealed. At the event, Lego blacked out some of the minifigures to avoid spoilers. They could take the same route with SW7 and the other, secret Rebels sets, or just do a Hobbit BOTFA (whose sets was released at around the same time as the rumoured SW7 sets) and not include them in the Toy Fairs. Also, another trailers almost definitely coming out in the summer, and we know the TFA sets are coming out after that, so that basis of reasoning the release of the, sets based on that is illogical.
  8. Wow, good find! It's nice we're getting the Medical Droid, though I can't tell if it's different from the original. In the video, there's also a black chestplate next to the droid, could that be from another Star Wars figure? Finally, does anyone think the summer wave will be postponed and combined with the TFA sets, or will they be kept separate. It seems odd that Lego would release so many sets from a single theme so close to eachother, even if it is the first new SW film in a decade and close to Christmas.
  9. Good point Nexu, as they didn't give us a Womp Rat mould there must have been a plan for some other creature. I would also really like a Kaadu, I tried putting the new Gungans on the original version but it looked awful. however, if the rumours are correct about an extra autumn SW7 2015 wave (and a smaller January 2016 wave?) the new creature mould could be included in that. First example, we might get that creature whose life sized model was leaked at the start if this year in a sandy environment. The fact Abrams is using less CGI also means Lego will have more time to plan out the sets and moulds (unlike in the Hobbit waves).
  10. Damn, not another one! Still, I might actually get it this time for the updated figs, especially if theres more if those brilliant snowtroopers. Mixed feelings about Yularen, nice that we're getting him but nothing like the Revan we got last year.
  11. Definitely, wow. Could launched mean actually put on shelves or the stage of the process where the final design is approved, when we usually see the finalised product? Because september seems really early for merchandise from a top secret film being released in December. Still, I hope its true, it'll give me time to collect the entire wave for Christmas!
  12. Still, by the sound of it, we're getting another star wars wave in November/December, like the Hobbit, as Lego just wants to kill our wallets (and cash in on TFA). I really want a Flash Speeder now. And the Final Duel set means I don't have to get that DK book for the Emperor. Really hoping there's a couple of EU sets in that list. The Flash Speeder better not be £20, thats where the Speeder Battle set with Durge is meant to go! And hopefully Bounty Hunter Pursuit is in that space where the Jek-14 sets were in the past two years.
  13. Agreed, there's a difference between finalising information and being a pain in the Lego brick. By the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
  14. 4-LOM... But seriously, whose to say we won't get 4-LOM ad well? As said before, Lego virtually have no limit on the number of new moulds they can produce. The summer wave is definitely going to be interesting. I'm cracking under the hype Just2good, this is your fault!
  15. This is an awful lot you can do between the Hobbit and LOTR. Your idea sounds great, although I think an Beornling should be included. I still think PJ is leaving himself a lot of breathing room should he ever want to return to Middle Earth. Certain plotlines which weren't concluded and... certain characters who weren't dead. I mean there's still the fate of two characters, a certain elf and ranger, a rather unfortunate expedition to Moria, the hunt for Gollum and the fate of the north in the war of the ring. That's another trilogy right there.
  16. Wow, the T-Rex looks a lot cooler in some of those pictures, thanks Lotr. Some of those pictures definitely look new. I really hope we get more new moulds apart from the D-Rex's though. When was this wave meant to come out, again? May?
  17. I don't know if all of you have seen it, but there was an extended scene from the first episode of Rebels which focused on Vader and the Inquisitor. Perhaps Lego are updating him so he can fit in better with the new level of detail in Rebels minifigures (just look at the Inquisitor)? Also, as it's likely he'll be in the summer wave, Star Wars Rebels season 2 will have finished, so if Vader plays a larger role in Season Two, Lego can make sets based on that. Of course, it could just be another way for lego to convince us to get Cloud City... Star Wars Seven sets are very probably coming out in the following December, so it's also in Lego's interest to finalise their most iconic star wars minifigure for the next trilogy of films. I myself like the change, and besides, I never judge new moulds from an animation which may not be entirely accurate. Feel free to call me a Lego blasphemer, BTW
  18. Agreed, it seemed really sweet to see it end with all the tribes in harmony. Also: Dark Tribes? I haven't heard of them before (or I've forgot)
  19. That just made me think of Jaws, for some reason. And if it escapes (which is super likely, as the rest of the dinosaurs simply have to escape at one point, on top of D-Rex, for it to be a JP film) then the main characters can simply disembark on one of the river banks. Yeah, there's the other dinos, who'll probably be stampeding at that point, but still, better than the mosasaurus. I expect several rowing boats and their passengers will be eaten though. The mosasaurus will probably be able fit down the river (judging by Walking With Beast's basilosaurus, which did the same thing) and the heroes will probably have a better chance of survival on the river than in open sea.
  20. Even if it isn't re-canonised (though I'd like it if it was), Lego might still make sets based on TFU. Clone Wars has been uncanon for almost a decade and Lego just made a set based on that. I like your ideas, the Ugnaught Walker would make a great Cloud City battlepack, with two Ugnaughts and two Bespin Guards. At first I thought the Nemisis-Class gunship would be to bizarre, but then I saw the Wookee Gunship and realised that doesn't really matter to TLC. Finally, I think the Sturn set is a bit unrealistic as for me his character and design aren't very interesting and we seem to have no shortage of AT-RTs. Still, loving the ideas and a new printed Rancor with Maris Brood would make a great exclusive (no unique parts). Edit: YES! I'm a Citizen!
  21. I'd think, judging by how the Milano turned out, all of them except Hulk.
  22. So far, from what I've seen, Rebels has been pretty much localised to Lothal and the surrounding sector. (Spoilers for Rebels below) We did see Bail Organa, in what was little more than a cameo, but that could have been before or after his capture and involvement with Marek. And when/if we see the Rebel Alliance form in the series, it may fit in with the TFU version of events. I'm not saying TFU is still canon, I just don't think its dead. And the fact Lego is still making EU sets makes me hopeful we'll see more sets in the summer (before the SW7 boom).
  23. Didn't we recieve information that Lego were having problems with the length of their Harry Potter license due to the final film being split into two, meaning we knew when it was going to end?
  24. Thanks for the review Just2good! This is probably my second favourite tribe pack after the sabretooth one, although due to my love of crocs I'll likely get this one first. Wow...that minifigure is so cool! Loving that printed chestplate, how many minifigures have it?
  25. I really love that pterosaur, it's colours of black and red are amazing! I think they're only showing reprints if the dinosaurs so as to not spoil the film or reveal too much about the sets. Loving the mosquito! Smaug was massive in the film (in different proportions to the mosasaur but around the same size). I believe lego will just scale it down as a molded creature, an aquatic prehistoric setting would be too good for TLC to pass up. Especially if it escapes...
