Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Dragonlego27 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm surprised Lego hasn't eliminated you yet, you leak more stuff than Hydra. Shame we're getting Ant-Man but we didn't get any Thor stuff. Ah well, there's always Ragnarok... Does anyone think we might get two Ant-Mans, a minifigure sized one and a microfigure version, a bit like the one in the Lego game. -

Yeah, thanks for the clarification, I'd forgotten his name. I agree that Maris Brood is likely more memorable ( we're talking about the Dark Side girl who rode a RANCOR) but still think Kazdan Paratus would make a better minifigure though. PROXY would be nice as well, for his character not his physical appearance. I'm a huge fan too, and the battlepack has given me faith in more sets. I still can't think of any ships which would translate well well to sets (with one of the above minifigures thrown in as Lego does so much nowadays). Is there more ships in other versions/sequels of the game? -

Yeah, does anyone know how it differs from the original? -

I'd love another Galen Marek, the old one is really outdated now and it would be great to get him in one of his other outfits, maybe with a yellow lightsaber. The alien Jedi with the yellow lightsaber pike would be great as well. Can you think of any sets TLC could make based on this apart from another Rogue Shadow? And yes, you are over-thinking this in the grand scheme of things, considering how many uncanon sets we're getting. Still, I'm not complaining. Give us a Durge already! -

Um, Malekith is dead. Red Skull might appear though, I can see Hydra working for Thanos. And theres the Other as well, Thanos's servant from the Avengers. He'd make a cool minifigure. As for putting all the heroes in, there's even more than the ones you listed who could make an appearance. I think it'll start with the Avengers meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy (possibly with their big green friend), Thanos appearing on earth, the heroes hunting him down/fighting him/stopping him getting the final stones, other heroes gradually turning up, possibly fighting Thanos's henchmen, then the final showdown, the Infinity Gauntlet gets completed, heroes are all scattered/killed. End of part one -

Gosh, that new faceprint excites me much more than it should. Anyway, I'll probably buy a set with only one Rebels stormtrooper to see if I can tolerant it, then buy the battlepack if I like them. I didn't like the imperial dropship design in the series, and it'll probably be undersized, but if it's the SW7 design with the new stormies, I'll literally have a heart attack. BTW, to quote Thranduil "I am patient. I can wait." I mean, it's almost Christmas and my lego collection us about to be significantly expanded. I'm not going to be staring at my laptop screen, shivering while muttering "come on Just2good, come on". At least we won't have to wait a week like last time. -

You have just made my day. I've wanted that minifigure ever since I saw him in Captain America. On another note, does anyone with knowledge from the comics now which villains are likely to be in Civil War (aside from Crossbones)? -

I had the same idea, as so far he's had now bodyguards or special troops in the series. They both wear black and have red visors; they're even from the same timeframe! I think they'd work well together, but pictures would be nice. -

I also agree, but mostly because it'll be much cheaper to get the minifigure in a polybag rather than a £350+ Helicarrier set. Also, I was wondering, would the polybag be available with all orders over £50 or just Marvel sets? I'm asking based on previous licensed polybags. -

No chance. I seriously doubt JJ Abrams and Disney, who have been really into anti-spoiler security, would allow a toy company to release set/s a year before the film's release. Also, the Shadow Guards and Troopers are directly identical to the versions in the Force Unleashed video game, which is set about 50 years before SW7, and since ROTJ all the troopers and ships have been updated. -

She's played by Elizabeth Olsen, don't we all ;). Wait, you're not getting the Hulkbuster set? Because of the price? It's one of the cheapest sets! Yessssssssssssssss! Oh please, let this be true! If not, we'll probably get a variety in Civil War, as Lego will make any set with Iron Man in. But, I NEED A WINTER SOLDIER MINIFIGURE NOW! -
Ah! Everything just fell into place. Last year when I googled the Desolation of Smaug I read an interview where the actor who played Beorn mentioned a difficult torture scene, but I thought that was the adaption of his capture of a warg and an Orc from the book. I should have put two and two together when I also read how "epic Bolg" (the non CGI one) tortures someome. That sounds like a much better introduction of the characters than what actually happened. I wonder if that scene will ever see the light of day? BTW, Surprised yesterday when I visited my local Toys"R"Us and only the two cheapest new Hobbit sets were there, squashed between DC and Marvel. Hope it's just because of Christmas sales.

Great set, great review. Thanks again Just2good! Just one question: have you literally managed to get all the sets? I'm not a massive fan of the speeder, but it's the minifigures you want and they're truly phenomenal, even though they're just reprints. In a better light, the Shadow Guard's lightsaber hilts definitely look to plain, so it looks like I'm going to be busy trying to find an easy and repeatable way to mod them. Keep them coming Just2good! -

Don't worry about about Infinity War sets, the two films are likely to be the biggest movies in their respective years (apart from SW) and Lego won't miss capitalising on that. It's Ragnorak I'm worried about. And Civil War... -

I think only three minifigures don't have leg printing. And I don't believe there's a middle ground between the superhero and Star Wars levels of detail. It's one or the other now. And some SW minifigures don't have leg printing either. I agree about the Hulkbuster though, it's way too big for being the same size as Hulk. I would have preferred it being a bigfigure like in the game. LEGO Groot had the same problem, brickbuilt figures just don't fit in with their smaller counterparts. I'll probably still get the set though, for Scarlet Witch and Ultron. -

For some reason, I really dislike the Avengers Tower Set. The build seems OK, but its weird how you only get the top of the tower. And the minifigures . I like Thor and Iron Man, but you can easily get them in other sets. I hate the colouring of that Ultron, it just seems really off it almost seems unfair to compare him to his two other versions. And the Iron Legions colours look really weird. Definite pass. -
Yes, weirdly I did. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I think it was the mix of his armour and beard. Still, he was my favourite character in the entire film, if only for what he said at the start if the film.

Can you provide a link? Or at least tell us how to find it, Lego promos are usually quite fun. -

I was going to suggest delivery, but transport would likely be horrendous. Exclusives often don't get reduced either, or sold on Amazon. Really hope that's not the case with the Hydra fortress, it's expensive enough as it is. -
Um, "cough, Bolg, cough" I understand why the Witch King is important (Fell Beast and helmet) but Bolg actually probably had more screentime.

Thanks for the review Just2good! Another strong set I will probably buy, a good purchase if you want to see whether you can cope with the new Stormies or not before getting the battlepack. I thought they were new as well, but that's was disproved about twenty pages back, they're from some early CW sets, such as the Clone Troopers battlepack. -

I love the Shadow Guards, but now I've seen their lightsaber hilts I'm wishing there was an alternative. Any ideas? All I've got so far is a plain lightsaber hilt attached to a flick missile peice. -

Sorry about that, I hadn't noticed and answered quite quickly this morning. That is really weird though, in the set picture there are two without helmets. You'd think the more important drone would get more detail.Ah well, on the bright side it means we might get two drones with helmets. Hooray! I don't like the Iron Legion Drones or brick built Hulkbuster, but the fact we're getting Ultron drones sets and Hydra soldiers in the same wave more than makes up for that. Does anyone know how the super jumpers work? -

1. In the trailer her magic blast was blue at one point, her powers may not also be limited to one colour. It could help children establish she's Quicksilver's brother as well. 2.Not a clue about Strucker, just glad we're getting him. 3. The set comes with two normal drones and a captain/sergeant. Only the captain has a helmet. 4. Finally! Thats great! 5. He just is. TBH, everything about this wave is awesome. basically, it's all brilliant. Can't wait for more pictures! Especially Ultron.
