  1. It's not just a boar, it's the BOAR. Finally, the battle boar concept art had been confirmed. Can't wait to see it in the DLC.
  2. I think the hole for the crossguard will go all the way through the mould, with a red, transparent new shortened pole peice (it's used in the Hobbit and LOTR lego a lot) going right through it. That might look awful though. I'd suggest we hold ourselves on condemning the light excalibur right away, do you remember the critical reception the Inquisitor got when a poster made his lightsaber look like a pirate sword? And look at our views on that mould now! I can't wait for the new stormies battlepack, with either four identical troops or three and a chrome-to go alongside the dropship we saw in the trailer and a Gwendilen Christie minifig. I'm not going to quote the whole post, but, to Jedi-Bendu's post, we're discussing sets and minifigures which won't come out for a year based on 47 seconds of footage: aren't we all guilty?
  3. Thanks for the pics Kevikpo! Can anyone tell me what creature Dainty is riding on the previous page? I have no clue. After re-watching the trailer several times and pausing it at the flail part, I admit Kevikpo's right, it is Azog. Sorry, my mistake, they do look very alike. I'll now change the flail from the "many reasons we didn't get Bolg" discussion to the " really to many things the new Azog doesn't have" discussion. It's a shame we didn't get Bolg's black warg either.
  4. Don't bet your money LOTR343, save it for the Falcon instead ;) And that truly flawless trailer has even sold the new X-Wings to me. Before, when I had seen the pics, I didn't even like them. That's another set I'll definitely be getting. That bit actually made me jump the first time, I was so hyped. And is it me, or is he being hunted by one of the probe droids from the Battle of Hoth?
  5. Wow, thanks for the link, Blazej Holen :) I hadn't seen those videos yet. Pretty epic! Was Bolg wielding a giant flail at one point? Another reason Lego never made him, we would never stopped moaning about the terrible accuracy of his weapons. Nice to see Galadriel do something which doesn't involve making out with Gandalf. I can't wait to see the what I'll call "little fiery mishap at Dol Guldur" to avoid spoilers.
  6. I think we'll get two raptors in the cheapest set, one in the T-Rex set (the £69.99 one) and one in the largest, D-Rex set. No idea where the Ceolyphisis comes in though :-S I think the £39.99 set will feature the mosasaurus, and hopefully the £49.99 set will include an apatosaurus (and maybe the Ceolyphisis?)
  7. Like R2s third leg or eyestalk ;). I'm not a massive fan of the so called "beachball astromech" but I've gotten used to the fact that every new trilogy/TV series we get a new type of sith lightsaber. Besides, the new "lighthilt" will probably follow it's medieval use of protecting the wielder's hands and deflecting blows, meaning it likely does have an actual usable purpose. However, it's broad hilt and cumbersome appearance likely means it's owner will rely on strength and power, not agility (think Darth Vader's technique in the OT). Which, if the rumours that the sith lord is a cyborg, will probably come true. Anyone thinking about the new lightsaber colours we might get?
  8. I am literally in love with the new stormies and whoever that awesome sith in the ragged robes with the epic lightsaber is. The stormtrooper guns are going to make brilliant new moulds. Bring December 2015 on, J.J. Abrams! I have faith in SW7, and although I understand many said the same of the Prequels, this has a completely new vibe to it, a blend of new and old which is bound to make great sets (and a good film too B-) I can't wait to see the leaked videos from Lego's headquarters, when the designers watch the trailer, freeze it at the astromech parthe, then shout out: "WHAT THE **** Abrams! How the hell are we going to make that, you *******?" BTW, I am the only one with reservations about the speeder Daisy Ridley is riding? It looks like something from a SW comic and would make the worst Lego set ever. Best regards, The Force lives on.
  9. Agreed LOTR343, they've done well with the mosasaurus (it made me jump the first time) and although the gigantic stadium has ruined the chance of a aquarium mosasaurus set, I hope its lego counterpart turns up somewhere. I actually quite like the idea of a trained raptor pack pursuing the D Rex, though the reactions to the shot of star lord on his motorbike weirdly reminded me of to the Tolkien fans reception to Radagast's sleigh in the Hobbit. The sets are going to be epic.
  10. So which three sets have been confirmed? And are there any sets of unknown content at the price of a tribe pack?
  11. I meant the lines around Bilbo's mouth and both their eyes, although I don't if I should have described them as "wrinkles". Sometimes the detail works, such as on Elrond and sometimes it doesn't. As I've said above, it's a very slight flaw and one that rarely ever impediments on my enjoyment of the minifigures. The thing that also annoys me about Thranduil is his thick eyebrows and lines under his eyes, which don't look very Elven.
  12. I'm sorry Kevikpo, was something unclear about my post? If it looks out of place, I was answering Mike's statement from the previous page, but I'm writing from my mobile and don't think I'm using the quote function right.
  13. Thank goodness lego didn't go in the battle damaged direction (no insult meant to fans of the original toys). I understand the attraction of battle damaged toys unique to a certain moment, but the recent Chima waves also had some battle-damaged ice figures which are fine if you want zombie dinosaurs, but not if you want perfectly healthy figures which fit in to a variety of scenes
  14. Has there been any more news on the Mammoth Tribe Pack (not on this forum, obviously)? At first I thought it was a rumour, but no I'm not so sure. Has anything been confirmed about that or is there any chance it is true. If Lego does make one, I'll literally bankrupt myself on buying multiple copies. All they would need to do to absolutely make my day/ruin me is make a wolf tribe pack.
  15. Thanks Borador, I can understand why some would disagree with some of the specific storylines I posted but just the thought of putting them all together (as you compared with to Super Smash Bros.) is the only thing I really care about, not how which part fits in where. In the original post, I also forgot the Black Falcons ! So that's something which needs improvement already. Does anyone else have any other input? I really think we need to reboot all the Castle themes in universe at the same time in the same universe.
  16. See I would like it if some of the new, purely unlicensed waves of sets became flesh faced, merely because it would fit with licensed sets. Imagine being able to put a new castle wave with LOTR :cry_happy:Some of the original and classical waves can remain yellow faced for those who prefer those styles. Happiness all around!
  17. I think the thing about the Lego Ori which doesn't match his film version is his head, it just looks too full and the mixture of hair and thick beard really doesn't capture his character. I've also noticed the same problem with Bilbo and Thranduil in that their faces look too old than the film version, merely because of unnecessarily added wrinkles. :cry_sad:They're still brilliant, the faces merely impede on my appreciation of the minifigures.
  18. I'll try the email thing, and support all unsupported Idea sets, but I still have hope for a third wave. LEGO was clearly planning to make one, we've even had several rumoured leaks of the designs of the sets. Just because lego was forced to delay something doesn't mean it won't come out. Even the Winter wave of SW sets were delayed those year! Anyway Sir Gareth, you have my sword.
  19. NYCC looks like a really big thing next year, Lego wise. We're definitely going to see the completed Jurassic World sets, as well as most likely the summer star wars sets. Add a surprise LOTR wave and my year would be complete (while my wallet has a nervous breakdown :-P)
  20. You may be surprised, but I'M glad. My budget dictates that it's either a UCS set One set or a year's eve worth of system sets and judging by minifigures like Grima Wormtongue or Denger, the aftersale prices on a Slave One 4LOM would have been horrific. A Geonosis Arena set, or mini series of sets like the Jabba ones, would be brilliant. However, the molds, uninteresting design of the, sets (I bet you that if it was made, some would compare it to a giant, overpriced Duel on Geonosis). The huge amount of exclusive minifigures would also undermine other sets.
  21. Am I the only one who thinks the D-Rex molds would be great for a Giganontosaurus and some parts of a Spinosaurus? I quite like the ceolyphisis, it's a cute little Dino, but really wish it's colourscheme had been a bit less bright.
  22. As much as I would like a Admiral Ozzel minifigure, his inclusion in the series does not indicate he will appear in a set. He also previously starred in Empire Strikes Out. As Vankafedo rightly pointed out, Lego do create specific vehicles and minifigures for their show, though I can't be the only one rooting for the Jedi School Bus to appear as an exclusive set. Or that truly brilliant 4LOM minifigure...
  23. Interesting that my guesses about the D-Rex's spines and larger jaw turned out to be true, so far it appears to have elevated itself into my second favourite Lego big-figure of all time (bar Smaug of course.) I'm astounded by the amount of raptors we're getting, this means that either the battlepack idea, with 2-3 raptors is actually a reality (though judging by the set list, I doubt it), or that we are getting a raptor in each set. Unfortunately, I'm slightly frustrated by the underside on two of the raptor's head's doesn't match the body, although they still look amazing and that some of the dinos look a bit too bright and colourful for movie adaptions, although the beautiful D-Rex is excepted from this. The T-Rex is perhaps one of my least favourite dino, although it's eyes are brilliant. The balance is restored by the D-Rex's eyes, which are a bit too plain and bright for me, although that is it's only downside. If these are the only dinosaurs to be released in the set's, it seems like quite a plain wave. I'm hoping we'll get a pterosaur, triceratops, mosasaurus and ankylosaurus in this wave on top of the dinosaurs we are already getting, plus a Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus and Ceratosaurus in the second wave based on the original trilogy.
  24. I never managed to get the last Tie Fighter, as at first it was in my mini Dark Age where I stopped getting any Lego, then I focused on LOTR and the Hobbit sets, meaning I missed out on a couple of sets which are now far above the standard price, such as the Tie and Palpatines arrest. Loving the look of Anakin's Custom Starfighter
  25. I really hope the DLC is as epic as the actual Hobbit and LOTR games, with decent levels and interesting characters. With the rams, I hope they get added to the creatures you can ride through the hub, as well as Thranduil's stag. You're right Kevkipo, it does have a lot to show us. What the trolls would have looked like in Lego , all the armoured minifigures we didn't get and all the army factions (Elves, Dwarves, men and Orcs).
