  1. I got the latest version, so it looks like I'll be giving this one a miss, as I doubt the ship will be that much of an improvement and i already have a good enough version of Qui Gon (I'm not interested in yet another infantile Anain) I'm interested to see how Watto and Maul turns out, I never got the last Watto and Maul could be an inprovement
  2. Does anyone else worry about some of the sets colour scheme? The bright blue of the buildings and vehicles really puts me off, especially as we haven't seen much of that in the trailer and pictures (apart from some of the vehicles) As it is, I'll probably get the I-Rex and Dilophosaurus set, as I don't think you get much in the T-Rex set, the Raptor Rampage is overpriced and the pterosaur is not enough to encourage me to buy it. I'd also like.a second wave, merely so I could have a Spinosaurus to fight the Indominous.
  3. Well, there's almost definitely going to be some sort of animal mould, and we all know how that increases the price of a set (The Lonely Mountain comes to mind). And from the trailer there's also the crossguard lightsaber hilt, the new stormies helmets and BB-18s body at the very least.
  4. 444 peices for £40 and 517 peices for £70? The price to peice ratio is all over the place. Still, I'm looking forward to the sets, judging by how TLG hasn't had a new SW film to work on for a decade it's likely there'll be a lot of effort put into this wave. Meaning better sets for us! :)
  5. Everyone except the cowboy hat guy. Guess that means he's the only survivor? My favourite dinos are probably the I-Rex, the Dilophosaurus and then the Time-Rex. The others aren't on the list because they're smaller.
  6. The dinos are definitely the highlights of this wave (but hey, did anyone think any ddifferent?) I'm just slightly worried about the bright colours of the sets, especially the buildings, which don't look like their film counterparts. I wonder how large the Dilophosaurus is compared to the T-Rex and I-Rex?
  7. Well, what's better than one Jawa? Two Jawa! I'm liking Darth Vader (normal minifigure versionversion, not the plastic monstrosity) and even the Rebels ship looks good. Shame they didn't do the helmet and hair combination with Kallus as well. And that set is looking so good i might actually get it. I'll wait for interior pics and a comprehensive review.
  8. Even newer pictures now. The pterosaur set looks pretty solid, although the tower us absent from the box art. I love the poses the I-Rex and T-Rex are in, almost like they're going to attack eachother (although they're not in the same set. the cowboy guy in the motorcycle fleeing from the T-Rex is pure gold. Only the exclusive raptor set is missing now.
  9. Who is the red figure in the sandman set? Also Sandman isn't as good as I thought he'd be and the rhino fig is pretty bare and uninteresting.
  10. The two colour masks are interesting-I wonder what the story is behind those.
  11. Love the gyrospheres! Not sure about the bright blue colour scheme of the vehicles and buildings though.
  12. The Advent Calendar looks amazing, an ewok and a java! Definite purchase this year. Final Duel seems like a pretty solid set too
  13. Wow, just seen the Bionicle pics, Ekimu looks epic amd the Skull Grinders mace looks pretty badass
  14. Those star wars galidor figures are a disgrace to everyone SW set lego has ever made. Those six sets could have been some epic Rebels stuff-instead we get this. looks like the UCS Tie is confirmed then.
  15. The Dilophosaurus looks insane! I never thought it would be so big! The other sets look interesting too.
  16. Damn that is expensive. Looks like I'll be missing that set then. Looking forward to seeing the Dilophosaurus!
  17. Wow, the raptors look amazing with the headgear! I'm really loving the minifigures too, especially the guards chestplate and sniper rifle. It's always nice to have a generic guard to get eaten... Unfortunately the van looks flat out terrible :( I'll probably wait to see Raptor Escape and see if it's any bette, then just got that one for the raptors ininstead. However, the fact the raptors have names means I'll be sorely tempted to get both sets...sometimes I really hate TLG's marketing scheme I thought it was only meant to cost around £25-30? It's a definate mistake on TLG's part if it's anything more than that
  18. I got my Lonely Mountain set the other day and I have to agree, it's a beautiful set. The minifigures ate flawless and Erebor as a whole works perfectly. Smaug is the best part of the set for me though. I never realised just how articulated, posable and playable he was. 10/10 for sure. I just wonder how TLG will fill in the huge void the ME sets will leave behind.
  19. I love the dark look of the Duel boxart, it makes me feel really nostalgic for some reason. The sets design is definitely a pleasant surprise for me, much better than I could have imagined. Definate buy for me, although the lack of any new characters and the size of the set means I'll probably wait for a discount. The Flash Speeder looks pretty good, a definate improvement over the last one :D although as an army builder I wish TLG had taken the Lotr approach of including six minifigures and an animal in a £30 set. All they would have to have done here is include Padme in her handmaiden disguise, who also doubles as a generic decoy, throw in a new Kaadu and drop the price point by £5. As it is, I'll wait for a decent sale (I managed to purchase the Tri-fighter the other day for £25) I'm withholding judgement on the Tydirium, having no personal attachment or nostalgia to the ship, but the picture is too blurry for me to get the idea if just how good it's going to be. However, the lack of stormtroopers, scout troopers of any Imperials at all is an irritating flaw. I'm not even going to talk about the Starfighter. As expensive as this part if the wave seems, at least we have the surprisingly cheap Rebels sets to look forward too. And the TFA sets...
  20. My first reaction was: "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!!" My second reaction was: "well, at least they got the tri fighter bit right" <shrug> My third reaction was: "Abrams, what have you done!" My fourth reaction and final thought is: "I can't wait to see how Lego tries to make that thing." Sometimes, I really wish we had someone on the inside of TLC, possibly with access to a mobile phone or CCTV footage or something so we could see the Designer's reactions to stuff like this :D , as well as the reasoning behind stuff like the new AAT, Anakin's hair and basically the latter half of the Middle-Earth themes. (Don't worry, I'm joking and i don't actually believe we should intrude upon their privacy. Besides, we wouldn't be able to access it in Eurobricks anyway. Still, I'm not particularly worried about the ship's design as even if it does appear in TFA, it'll probably only be for about ten seconds.
  21. I'd love a Thror for the Lonely Mountain set, and better still i think there's a way to make him with no new moulds. All it'd need was a reprinted Thorin's hair from the BOFA set in grey, Gimli's beard in grey and new prints for the torso and head. I personally would buy any product which that minifigure is included in. Thrain's possible as well, just with Balin's or Gloin's beard in grey. Lego could make either version, either the royal or Dol guldur one.
  22. I understand the importance of the old costume, but I find his new outfit actually quite cool. The original blue shirt torso print from the 2004 Cloud City was actually quite detailed as well, so you could always put the old torso and cloak with the updated head. I understand it would be quite expensive to put together, and wouldn't live up to a proper redesign, but it's better than nothing :)
  23. Another new Greivous?! We literally just got one! And in my eyes it doesn't have any flaws, so I don't understand how lego could improve upon it (although I still respect your views and you probably have a valid reason). Anyway, I'd like Boss Nass figure, just because we don't seem to get many aliens in Star Wars and he'd have to have new printing and a moulded headpiece. However, I would prefer other characters such as an Ugnaught, Durge or Rune Haako (and he's the stupidest character of the bunch. Also, I don't know about Cloud City, but if you search for Rebels on the Internet you'll find a certain character is showing up. I know it was rumoured a while back, but know it's official and Filoni has released a rather tantalising clip, so we can expect to see that character appear in a summer set.
  24. Spoilers for the trailer and film below, I don't know if anyone here has noticed, but in the trailer when Hulk was fighting the Hulkbuster (you know, the best bit) Hulks eyes were red, suggesting he was being controlled by Scarlet Witch. I think I know why she's in that set... I really hope Ultimate Ultron will look more like the movie version with more pictures, but with close ups of his drones I'm not hopeful :(
