The mermaid is the one that is currently in the LEGO stores BAM boxes (3/$10 here) if you have a LEGO brick and mortar store anywhere near you. Or some of them will ship but i'm not sure if they'ld make a box up for you and ship that.

I am sorry to hear that you are moving on from LEGO. I am very interested too. Any Indiana Jones but especially female figures and dark green, Castle knights and buildings, horses, vikings, orcs and dwarves historical/fastasy type things. Thank you. Anything you are willing to share I would happily pay postage.

The Santa Clara LEGO store received its minifigure series 4 shipment this week. They'd had them for a few days and there were loads left but they had definately been picked through. Geisha, hazmat, musketeer, viking and scientist were very scarce to nonexistent.

Series 1 Minifigures re-release! Lego store exclusive
Cara replied to MCNwakeboard's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The Santa Clara and San Mateo LEGO store got these figures in this week. (But no accessories.) They have the magician with hat but I didn't see his hair, the clown and the forestman only. There was also the blonde hair long pony tail of the cheerleader and her head. And the nurse's head. There might have been the nurse's hair but I didn't know to look for it at the time. As a bonus they also have mermaids!!!!! (the shell bra torso and the silver scaled fish). -
I bought them for $3.49 from my local TRU - same price as the dragon fight set from Target. So maybe TRU isn't marking them up (yet).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Cara replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I picked up four today and am surprised to say I have 4 niggling complaints . I was disappointed at how little pearl there is in the pearl grey/silvery foil for the musketeer. Mine looks really plain grey. The viking shield appears very flat, the pattern being printed in pale tan and not gold. So his horns looks out of place as their gold pearl doesn't match anything else on him. My geisha's top loosely fits onto her bottom so she breaks in half very easily. That mad scientist's hair is wider than his head. The gap bothers me. I feel like that hair should be on the end of a pencil! (although that bottle is wonderful) Ah well, I'll wait until the lego store has them in to pick up the rest. -

While some accessories (club and pom poms) would have been great, just having the people is a big plus! I can accessorise forestmen and zombies -

Series 1 Minifigures re-release! Lego store exclusive

The northern california legos stores had new torsos in recently. Among them is a new blacktron body. It is similar to the Blacktron 1 body but has silver touches to the printing and the lime logo on the left shoulder. The back of the body is printed with the utility belt. There are also new city torsos, some I recognise from the new sets (like the blue shirt policeman) but others like the orange female flowers and halter top torso that I don't. -
Does anyone have image links for Endor? The video makes it look gorgeous but is too fuzzy to see the details.

Yes it was very much a joke - I tried to make that apparent. I think this comes back to being included. I identified myself as a way of saying hey I'm here and I like the same thing you do - LEGO. Pink is a colour like any other. Just as I don't want green or yellow to take over my block majority nor would I want pink to. I would look for LEGO to increase the diversity of the bricks any colour (including pink) comes in. Not forcefully impress, for example, a whole pink house on us. The exception is where people would be happy to buy a single colour set for the parts. As the mother of a kindergartener that has female friends which like lego I fully concur that young girls do like lego And agree from my expeience that animal theme, faeries, light airy fantasy and female hero figures are all very good ideas. Advertising which includes a girl in it even if it seperates the boy playing with his star wars set from the girl playing with her animals would be a good start. (Do the lego games adverts include girls?) Making female figures more readily available in the <$20 price range sets is another key. I think there is a good start in the new historical minifigure set. But it seems very expensive. My children would much rather save for two weeks then buy a ~$6 set that has two figures and some small play feature. They are young and into instant gratification. If they manage to save for something in the $10-$20 range it is pretty amazing.

I know you said if the rules allow, but be careful about editting it or it will be after the time the competition closes.

Caveat: I am teasing you about the following (since I know its not always possible to read the emotional intent on a forum). I find it funnily ironic that I've read alot of comments in this thread about female stereotypes and pink blocks. Yet as soon as I posted identifying that I was female, what did you do but slap a pink star me!

Last question from me. I have put links throughout my post to detailed images in a flickr album. Is this acceptable?

Anyone in the SF bay area, Mountain View target - off Showers - has Ostrich Race marked down to $5.04. There were over 10 there today when I left, in the far back corner in toys on the back endcap. Thanks to someone of a different forum for telling me this.

I would hope yours is OK Dix, I guess it depends if it comes under "effects", I also hope you get a definitive answer from Hinckley. In the mean time would think that rule is more to prevent people adding things in photoshop that they don't have in bricks, or changing the colours of bricks etc. My Question: "4.Contestants may submit a maximum number of 5 pictures per entry." By picture do you mean occurrance of a max 600x800 image? I ask because I was considering putting two smaller images into one picture. I didn't, but I am now wondering if I could have since I've seen it in another entry. (E.g. 3 single image pictures + 2 that each have two images within 1 picture) Thank you!
