Somehow, it doesn't seem to looks as good as your set-up but I blame my marginal photography. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

A "small" update? Your fleet is still bigger then the combined efforts of Ekae and myself! Love the new CR-90 and the U-wing. Great job!

Here's some shots of what will probably be the show set-up. Current line is as follows: 1x Nebulon-B 2x CR-90's 5x GR-75's 3x Hammerheads 2x Dornean gunships 12x TIE's 2x TIE Strikers 6x X-wings (only 3 in the photo's) 6x B-Wings (only 3 in the photo's) 3x A-wing's 1x U-wing 9x Y-wing's (only 3 in the photo's) 1x Millenium Falcon DSC02094 by Scott Roys, on Flickr DSC02093 by Scott Roys, on Flickr DSC02092 by Scott Roys, on Flickr Thoughts?

Brickfair just published a display map. We are the red circle over on the left. I asked for 12 feet of table which I got. I'm still unpacking Ekea's ships and re-building as necessary. Hope to have some pictures up by the end of the week before everything gets packed up for the trip. Brickfair map by Scott Roys, on Flickr Brickfair map close-up by Scott Roys, on Flickr

[LDD] Mortesv's CR90 corvette (reverse-engineered version)

EKae has generously sent me some of his fleet to display at Brickfair, Virginia in a few weeks. The box arrived on Saturday. Very well packed! I dont know, it is just an idea that I had. If the blue pin proves too rigid in the horizontal plane, perhaps a 2L axle would have enough slop so the cars would not bind up when transitioning from level track to the incline.
-
You could try this modification of Tenderloks technique. LDD will not allow me to stick the pin side of the blue connector into the 2x3 plate hole, but it will work nicely in the real application. This will give you some length options.
-
I've finished updating my Neb-B stand. I didn't want to tear about the rear section to go full integration like Churcholo was looking to do a few pages back. The main part is #95347 2x2x10 girder support. which are plentiful and cheap. The nice thing about the part is that it has an axle hole in the top of it so you can pin the stacked parts together with a 3L axle. As noted already, the middle support is not critical but the ship will develop a bit of a sway-back without it. (Note: I ran out of black 4x4 round bricks so the white ones in the middle will be replaced once the next parts order comes on.) If anybody wants a LDD of the stand, I can crack one out quick.

Quick update this morning before the grill gets going for the 4th of July party. I've converted all the GR-75 stands to black to match the table covering. Next up will be work on fighter squadron positioning. Currently, EKae and I are the only 2 participants for Brickfair and our fleet will consist of the following: 1x Neb-B 2xCG-90's. My Tantive IV and Ekae's Liberator 3x Hammerheads 6xGR-75 transports 2xDornean gunships (if I get mine built) 1xUB-40 tanker Numerous fighters If anybody else wants to contribute a model for the show, please let me know! Ekae is mailing his to me as he will not be able to attend. I promise to take good care of them and return once the show is over.
-
For the Tantive IV and Venator, there are MOC's with plans available that beat anything that Lego will ever produce. Get ta' building!
-
Try using parts 24299/20307 (Wedge plate 2x2 modified left/right) instead of the 2x2 tile to improve the wing shaping. I agree that they look miss-proportioned .

I bought my instructions off eBay from this link but it is the same guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Star-Wars-UCS-Hammerhead-Corvette-INSTRUCTIONS-ONLY-Collectors-Edition-MOC-/182494109279?hash=item2a7d7f1e5f:g:dNIAAOSwJ4hY~1kP My plans came with both variations but it looks like the Rogue One is no longer offered - at least not on eBay. I will say that there were a couple goofs on Rogue One Hammerhead plans so perhaps that is why he are no longer offers them.

Improbable hybrid between a Y-Wing and a the USS Enterprise
ecmo47 replied to Veynom's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think it has a bit of a snakey look. Call it the "Asp". -
I just finished a third Hammerhead. I changed most of the white parts to LBG on this one. I was hoping to give it more of a battle-harden veteran look rather then being fresh out of the ship yard. This will be the final large ship prior to Brickfair in August. The invitation to join is still open! And a tail shoot for Mortesv.....
-
I've got everything that I currently have set up. Here are a couple of marginal pictures of my current fleet. Thoughts: I like the black background but I need to extend it around the ends for better pictures. The trans-clear stands stick out like sore thumbs against the black background. Black stands would be much better. Notice that you can barely pick out the 12 TIES that are bothering our heroes. This table is three foot by eight feet and it's already full. More ships are going to equal more space. (I know that I'm stating the obvious but I didnt think it would be this cramped already.) Creating 3D space battles is hard! That ESB parade scene is much easier.

[LDD] Mortesv's CR90 corvette (reverse-engineered version)
ecmo47 replied to EKae's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@EKae: I just noticed that you used a bunch of LBG levers with LBG base (#4592c05) which only comes in a few very expensive sets (USC MF , Y-wing and DS II). I hope you were the green arrow order and not the red one! levers by Scott Roys, on Flickr -

@mortesv: That is EKae's CR-90, not mine. I just posted the picture from his link so it would be easier for all to see. I'm working of multiple projects too: a TIE bomber and a TIE Interceptor. I hope we are not duplicating efforts! . -

Looks awesome! Here's one of your shots. EKae's CR-90 by Scott Roys, on Flickr I built some fighters today and worked on the Hammerheads. I need to come up with another stand for them to get some height. Any thoughts? -

Nice improvement on the striker. Like the way the wings are closer to the body. I've got parts inbound for six I believe. -

Only if you get rid of the hideous avatar! Actually I did some work in the Lego room yesterday to get everything set up in preparation for Brickfair, Virginia. Probably in a week or two. -

Thoughts: 1. It's a fantastic model and very solid. It does of some detail parts that it will happily shed but over-all very swoohable! 2. Three point stand is overkill. Per pictures it will balance on the middle one but two is all you need. (And really you can pick any two points.) 3. There are still some areas that I'd like to improve. The one that bugs me the most is the large gap between the upper and lower planes of the middle fuselage. I'd like to see if I can get the more slope out of the upper and lower hull surfaces to close that up some. (DBG area above the escape pod rack). 4. A different solution to modeling the fins back to the docking pod would be nice. The flags are ok but I'm not sure that trying to work a 3x12 wedge into that area will look much better. 5. I'm still haven't worked a final solution to hold up the 4 bottom engine flaps that want to fall down and become speed brakes. 6. I'd like to build another of random color since I have about 1/2 the needed parts already! Again, it's been fun and I look forward to future builds with ya'll. My fleet (and any others?) will be in display at Brickfair, Virigina August 3/4. Next up for me is a pair of Hammerheads, TIE fighters and other small ships I can get done in the next 2 months. Times a-wasting! Here is a TIE Striker to threaten the CR-90. I didn't scale it like Mortesv would, but it looks about right. TIES by Scott Roys, on Flickr -

Happy 40th Anniversary! What better way to celebrate then to complete a model of the first ship that roared across the screen in 1977 and into legend. After 46 days of building, rebuilding, designing, re-designing, ordering and re-ordering, I finally have a CR-90 of my own. Thanks to all who helped make this possible: Mortesv, EKae, Bricksmarlin and all others that chimed in on the last 9 pages. This model is a compilation of those that have gone before. So here are some pictures to critique (and please ignore the misaligned 1x2 grills). DONE! At least for now. Pictures to follow tomorrow if all goes as planned. For tonight, a little detail on an area that need some TLC to fit right. This top (and bottom) fin area had a some gaps and didn't seat all the way down so I redesigned it. The only problem is that the best solution used a pair of those dreaded strap hinges but it's worth the results in my opinion. To fit in the hinge, I had to rearrange things a little on the outer spine area. Fuselage 4.3 by Scott Roys, on Flickr Fuselage 4.2 by Scott Roys, on Flickr Fuselage 4.1 by Scott Roys, on Flickr I should have the LDD files and a scrubbed parts list ready tomorrow also. As I've eluded to earlier, I've broken the model down into 4 sections. It has 2858 pieces 1. Backbone. 2. Engine Block (946 pieces) 3. Fuselage (1251 pieces which include backbone) 4. Engines (661 pieces) Fuselage 4.4 by Scott Roys, on Flickr
