Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
A potential prototype of a set for 2024/2025 that may never get made... not really sure how to judge that in terms of a list. As for own thoughts on it, I would'nt buy it. It lacks the features I'd want in an X-Men Mansion, the figure selection is 'ok' but nothing unique enough to sell it, the price is insane already at $390 and will likely wind up around $450 if it gets released due to inflation. We still have 76262: $199.99 (18+, 3128pcs) to speculate about though. My hope is still on Avengers Tower, especially with X-Men Mansion now potentially being in 2024. -

I don't necessarily want the hair ontop, but it probably could have had some more work done to obscure the middle segment and anti-studs. Official reveal for the previous one was in July. We had a rough confirmation of figure selection in April, but that was provided by Bohner who sadly disappeared... maybe in a time of great need the Bohner will rise again. Best guess we'll get information on the figures by the end of April and confirmation/reveal in July. The release date is indeed September. I believe we had remarks on the Malificent Dragon and a Snow White Cottage prior, so I would not necessarily use its existence to justify the remarks made. We've had situations in the past where someone has used pre-existing remarks on sets via more legitimate sources as a platform for shoveling their own 'leaks'. Just think its best keeping a healthy level of skepticism. -

I've seen people on other sites claiming to be leakers, unsupported, relaying information that was posted here. I view it as a rumour if it starts getting enough traction and/or is reported by a source as a rumour (Such as the rumored Ant-Man mech from last year). If someone stumbles upon this thread my hope is the list can inform them as to what is rumored and what has some level of backing - the X-Men Mansion being a rumour at this time. -

I know the MCU mask generally does not have an upper segment, but it feels really incomplete without it as we are seeing the inner design of the lego and exposed understuds. The advert showing it as a pen/scissors holder is silly, cannot wait for someone to have a pen leak or to scratch the inside of their mask with scissors, not that I have much faith that the interior will look that good anyway. It feels like Lego trying to justify why it has a hole in the top. I really feel Lego has no idea who the target audience for these masks really is. The eyes are weird, makes me think perhaps they'd intend to re-use them and the hopefully printed mouthguard elsewhere. Still leaning towards the other helmet being Ant-Man or Spider-man. Some leakers also commenting on the remarks about an X-Men Mansion, at the moment still nothing confirming its existence, but going to add it to rumours. Updated a few links to the Brickset listings for the sets Updated List: -
40580 Buildable Tahu: Bionicle returns in 2023!
Scarilian replied to Mandalorianknight's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I wish it had been possible to buy the GWP Bionicle set on its own. The set itself is really good, even if you removed the Bionicle title. I hope Lego eventually get enough faith in Bionicle to give it more in future. I don't really see many people considering the buildable figures, if they ever adapted a gearbox function for the upper segment, would arguably be the ideal way to do brick-built Toa. Personally I feel Lego has all the pieces for one big anniversary wave of Bionicle, if they desired to do so. The Toa's story for the year would be that an ancient evil, Makuta, has returned. The Toa need to to awaken Mata Nui by collecting fragments of a 'golden disk'. If you collect all 6, could be combined into a disc displaying the elemental symbols of each Toa on one side with the Unity, Duty, Destiny symbol on the back. A nice collectable for an anniversary wave display: The six Toa would be represented as buildable figures, like the Spider-man figures. My guess being two waves of three buildable Toa in each wave. Each figure would have an estimated 250-400 pieces and include a fragment of the 'golden disk' as they could vary in size and pricing, similar to comparing Spider-man to Venom or Iron Man to allow each Toa to have a distinct look and feel. Makuta, in a larger set taking inspiration from Monkie Kid such as Demon Bull King. Probably around 1000 pieces. Mata Nui as the final set for the year, taking inspiration from Monkey King Ultra Mech. Probably around 1500-1800 pieces. I don't think this idea would have much potential in terms of longevity, but for a 25th Anniversary Wave? Could see it happening. -

This month marks the release of 30652: Doctor Strange's Interdimension Portal 854240: Iron Man Key Chain 854241: Scarlet Witch Key Chain Have checked through the list and it does not seem we've had any real updates on them since the last list, so maybe we'll be lucky and get a bit of information this month given we've had the leak for Adam Warlock I'd hope we'd get further clarification on the GotG sets in April this month. Updated list: Most likely some of them will be DC, which was always an option as most sites report Marvel/DC sets just under superheroes. -

The Skull necklace thing should be darker, it stands out way too much. Honestly similar vibe with the gold, it needs to be darker for the suit so it contrasts more with the head. They've went with option 2 or 5 for the gold on the suit while it should be option 3. Head feels fairly generic, but I've always found Will Poulter to have a very generic face. Hair should be flipped the other side, but I guess they did not want to mirror the hair flip piece yet. With so much detail on the body and legs, really should have went the full mile and giving us some arm printing. Unsure why they went with red hands unless he winds up with blood or gloves at some stage. I don't think you've understood my remarks. I am not suggesting a fix or solution, I'm remarking on how if we get a Sentinel standalone set it won't be a UCS. If it happens, realistically, it'd be a buildable figure. The reasonings being scale, playability, marketability and cost. A UCS Sentinel is not going to happen anytime soon as it's not a popular enough concept and not currently in the public eye. The only reason we had a Sentinel in the past was because it aligned with the release year of Days Of Future Past in 2014 and it also featured the X-Men Jet - both aspects popularised by the films and despite this they presumably did not selling well enough to warrant future X-Men sets. -

I think people are seriously over-estimating the popularity of X-Men and X-Men Lego. While it was popular a while ago, Lego seems to have lost faith in the popularity of the X-Men as we've went from Magneto showing up to only really seeing Wolverine occasionally. I have zero expectations of any X-Men sets until around 2024 at the absolute earliest as they have Deadpool 3 to bring them back into focus and the animated series will have had time to be absorbed by people. If we were getting a Sentinel as a standalone set it'd probably be the same scale as the buildable Spider-man or Miles Morales figures. They'd definitely want to focus on playability and it'd be a rough scale with minfigures. I think even the design of the Sentinel lends itself to that building style. -

Seeing those I'd definitely prefer if it's Stark Tower rather than Avengers Tower. Would stand out more if displayed against the Daily Bugle, rather than have two builds that are mostly windows. -

I was not trying to start a debate on the perception of the branding, just wanted to acknowledge how I've seen it viewed on other platforms and I was glad that Eurobricks would not fall into such debates given we are aware of the behind-the-scenes information and just the reality that it'd be conflicting to have so many different branding styles at play Honestly, vote with wallet and feedback forms Lego gives out - they do read them. I think it's fairly simple though honestly: Demand - it's unclear if the audience was around for these types of sets to begin with Audience - many of the sets seem to misinterpret the audience or try to pander to multiple audiences at the detriment of a percieved target audience Design - due to a variety of factors the designs don't seem to match expectations, primarily in regards to techniques or overall focus of a set Pricing - granted some people want ridiculous low pricing, but the pricing not matching the percieved value is a problem with some sets They are cheap mechs though - so they sell. I still enjoy the mechs conceptually so a mech will interest me more than yet another car build. Even though I want a Morbius figure, set-wise I'm still drawn to the new IW Hulkbuster for the build because I simply prefer mechs to cars. Latest rumour was that we would not get it until May, hence no info or leaks. It appears it may never have been pushed forward at all. I don't even think it'd just be a matter of figures teasing it. I think 40344 could be considered a teaser to judge interest. I also find the box art for the Quinjet interesting also as its showing the top of Stark Tower. I've been under the impression if we ever get an adaptation of Avengers Tower it would likely be Stark Tower due to its focus in Avengers. This sort of design was also used in Marvel's Avengers Assemble, Lego Marvel Avengers Assemble and it was revisited in Avengers Endgame so they have excuse to include some other characters or variations of characters. AoU version does have some potential and in general would probably be easier to adapt, but I view it as less iconic and much more likely to require a good selection of figures whereas the Stark Tower had much more focus and could easily be paired with just a unique Tony Stark Figure again. -

None of it was my viewpoints or the viewpoint of anyone on Eurobricks, nobody on here has mentioned that viewpoint and chances are nobody here will because we understand why its happening. It is referring to mindsets spawned from videos like this (No hate directed to the creator) It is remarks I've read online (primarily from Instagram) referring to the keychains rephrased to apply to the polybag, because I'm absolutely sure those people will say the same. I specified that twice in both the comments you replied to. You seem to be intentionally ignoring that to imply Eurobricks users are bad and comparing them to Qanon of all things. Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It implies a broad covering rather than a specific film, extending its market reach. It's also directing attention back towards the Infinity Saga rather than Phase 4 or a specific film that may not have been recieved well, making the connection instead to a proven multi-film saga. Notably with a logo that coincidentially reminds you of the final battle in Endgame where there was a lot of portals. Once again, I know that not to be the actual reason it is labelled under the Infinity Saga label, however that is how some may see it without such knowledge. I say this because I saw these sorts of remarks in regards to the key chain for the Scarlet Witch and Iron Man. The branding for these films is generally short term, having individual branding for all these varying films that are getting legacy sets or polybags would result in confusion and lots of differing packaging designs - so any sets released after the fact tend to be under the legacy set branding which Lego refers to as 'The Infinity Saga'. While in theory Phase 4-6 is the Multiverse Saga, it's not particularly been used in branding and having both 'The Infinity Saga' and 'The Multiverse Saga' branding would confuse people. As such, it's very likely that any legacy NWH sets would have the Infinity Saga branding. Lego will eventually update this probably to a more generic term such as 'Marvel Legacy' but for the time being it seems we're going to be on the Infinity Saga labelling for a while longer. -

Looks fine, including the piece from the Sanctum Sanctorum set is nice and it'll help bring down the price of those on the aftermarket. I'm sure someone will eventually recreate the portal scene using a bunch of them. If they do NWH sets I may end up getting this eventually for the portal. Yeah, I understand why they are doing it, but it just comes across as mislabelling for the sake of trying to mislead in the hopes it increases sales for anyone unfamiliar with the reasoning. Supposed to be February I believe. -

For me, having the CMF's in bags meant my local stores would actually have a chance at selling them, boxed sets for Vidiyo were destroyed, discarded and shelfwarmers so local stores don't stock the boxed ones anymore (Mario for example). Bagged CMF meant I'd be occasionally tempted if one of them was there and felt like it may be one I'd like or would'nt mind a duplicate of. Couple this with the size of a boxed CMF compared to a bagged CMF and it's easier for me to buy a ton of the CMF bags and go as opposed to the hassle of awkwardly trying to fit the boxed ones into a bag after paying I don't mind the blind bag idea because at least you can feel the bag and have a rough guess, but I'm not prepared to buy an entire wave to get probably one or two figures I'm after and I've never seen any Lego store display an entire box in order to do the 'box layout' method, they always take them out and display on shelves or hooks, so switching to the boxed CMF has meant they've lost me as a customer - will be resorting to purchasing from resellers now as scalper prices are still cheaper than taking shots in the dark. At this stage I'm pretty much only going for the Legacy characters/sets/locations, buildable figures (If they are good) and maybe some specific figures that I liked from the comics that are handled well. Personally I viewed Endgame as a natural ending to the story and a point to where I could tell what direction they were taking the MCU and felt I'd seen enough. NWH is the only one I've seen in cinema and that was because of Tobey, Andrew and the returning villains from the Raimi Series - most notably Alfred Molina and Dafoe. I don't particularly feel a connection with any of the MCU characters after Endgame happened. I'm slightly curious about how GotG might end, but that's about it unless anything changes. Disney CMF is to celebrate 100 years. Depending on how you view it, Lego staff have said they either intentionally did not bother to do a 10th anniversary of Marvel because they were unsure when it started OR they forgot about the 10th anniversary of Marvel. I think the 18 minifigure CMF is an exception for the Disney CMF series and that the Marvel CMF is just Lego's answer to the Disney+ content. 76262: $199.99 (18+, 3128pcs) in August could be a D2C set. It's also possible we have more that we are just unaware of as we still have several numbers without associated prices/piece counts. As for the idea of Avengers Tower, that came from speculation. When people think of a Marvel D2C, it's the most logical option especially given it was the 10th anniversary of Avengers, 10th anniversary of the Lego MCU sets, etc... instead we got Hulkbuster, Sanctum and the Black Panther Bust. Similarly, even now any potential future D2C is likely to be expected to be Avengers Tower until we wind up getting one - because why would'nt you do an Avengers Tower? It's the most iconic aspect, a big focus of the Avengers films, heavily tied to Tony Stark whose Iron Man suits they use to sell sets and at this stage they've done everything else that could logically qualify to the point of doing the AoU Hulkbuster as a D2C, twice. Personally I'm still expecting that 76262, or another D2C this year, is Avengers Tower. I think the legacy wave we wanted last year started with the AOU Hulkbuster & Black Panther Bust and is continuing with the Quinjet & IW Hulkbuster, perhaps with one or two additional legacy sets mid year and will be capped off with Avengers Tower. Hopefully throw in a small NWH wave and I'd be happy with that. No problem, as long as it's helping :) -

With the April Helmet being revealed as Star Lord, I really hope the other one (76250) is Spider-man to complete the Spider-man, Venom, Carnage collection. I take a little time away and everything happens, lol. 30652 - Doctor Strange Portal polybag, pricing/details added 76251 - Star Lord Helmet, piece count added 76255 - Guardians Spaceship Bowie 76256 - Ant-Man 3 set now as 'May' Fixed a typo with the CMF series 2 numbering Couple of accounts making false leaks on Instagram, so be vigilante and cross reference Some Summer sets may later be changed from June to August due to conflicting remarks on release, noting it now :p Updated list: I'd lean more to it being a ship for Adam Warlock so he can pursue the Guardians. That way you have Adam Warlock in the $34.99 set and High Evolutionary in the $100 set. -

MODOK is in the back left of this shot, his height is about the same as a regular minifig but he's floating via butt propulsion :p My expectation would be something like this with a piece to cover the face for a 'masked' version and featuring two larger brick-built grabber arms and a clear stand so he can be 'hovering'. Notably the version here includes 125 pieces, with the modifications I could see it going up to around 170 pieces. The Gargantos set included 264 pieces and 3 figures so perhaps a small side build OR an additional figure (Cassie) could be included. Though notably if MODOK gets a printed masked and maskless face then that could be used as justification for the set having a low piece count, especially as they'd expect the set to sell anyway due to Kang and being presumably the only Ant-Man 3 set - each of them presumably having unique torso, masks, etc... March was the last info we had -

Set is $29.99, same as Gargantos Showdown. I think MODOK will be around that size with the masked appearance and mechanical lower arms that we see in the trailer, I doubt they'll have the ability to show his maskless face. He looks about a similar scale to the Gargantos in set form when we see him floating maskless behind Kang in the trailer. Probably with Kang, Ant-Man and Wasp as the figures for the set. Maybe throwing in Cassie as a figure also, but realistically it'll probably just be three figures and MODOK - remember inflation and rising prices are a factor also. Curious how they'll do Kang though if they attempted the masked version. -

I've seen a few people saying thanks for the list, and it is appreciated, apologies if I've not tagged you directly to reply Some sites listing 30653 (June Polybag) as Marvel, but keeping it as Marvel/DC for the moment Addition pricing and age info for a few sets Updated list: If we get an X-Men set this year, it'd almost certainly be based on the new X-Men cartoon series they are doing. Generally I'd expect Secret Invasion, Loki S2 and What If S2 to be the primary 2023 projects they feature. If they want to represent the others, they can always include Agatha, Echo, Iron Heart and Daredevil based on their prior appearances in other media (WandaVision, Hawkeye, Black Panther 2, She-Hulk). I'm still hoping we get a proper UCS Quinjet eventually as to me the Quinjet is dual seated. This new version is nice, but I'd like to see another attempt down the line. Maybe for the AoU Quinket as that design was shown as very spacious and could fit the Hulk (Just about) -

Added two key chains for February, hopefully we get a suprise set in February so we have something to qualify for the February polybag. Updated list: Last info we had on the set was a potential release date of March, so they could hold off on the official reveal until after the film releases on February 17th if they wanted - depends whether they include spoilery aspects in the set would could explain the lack of marketing for the set currently. MODOK seems like an options he's not been focused much yet. I'd lean to Ant-Man, Wasp, Kang and a buildable MODOK - Cassie getting saved for Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars. -

In February we have a confirmed Marvel GWP (30652: (Polybag?, 44 pcs), we don't know what would qualify for that, but it could be $100/£100 or so - in which case waiting on the Quinjet would probably be advisable as it's a sizable chunk of that. We have no other Marvel set releases in February, so your probably best holding off purchasing the Marvel sets until we know what the polybag is and whether it's worth it. In terms of discounts, most Lego sets now go through a 20% off on other retail sites. I think if you wanted to wait you could easily do so as I'd expect the set to end up going to around 35% off before the set retires and realistically you could wait as long as you desire because it's a new release and likely won't retire for at least a year. Thanks, hope it helps :3 -

Realistically it's probably: Hawkeye (Hawkeye) Kate Bishop with Lucky (Hawkeye) Moon Knight (Moon Knight) Scarlet Scarab (Moon Knight) Ms.Marvel (Ms.Marvel) Red Dagger (Ms.Marvel) She-Hulk (She-Hulk) Titania (She-Hulk) Nick Fury (Secret Invasion) Veranke? (Secret Invasion) Loki (Loki S2) Mobius (Loki S2) This splits things into 6 male characters, 6 female characters. I don't think the character selection appeals as widely as it could do given the mixed reception and low viewership of the Disney+ series - however this line-up is more in the range of the previous version. I think What If S2 and Iron Heart would get a set or two instead. Agatha would probably be saved for a CMF series 3. Honestly though I'd rather this series focus more on characters people have expressed a desire in getting such as Baron Zemo from TF&TWS, Ronin from Endgame, Ego from GotG2, etc... We have tons of legacy characters that deserve more focus as they have less chance of showing up in future. -

Added the CMF series 2, potential release dates for Ant-Man 3 set (March) and the Art set (August) Notably at the moment we don't have anything new releasing in February to accompany the Marvel Polybag, so perhaps we'll get a set in February, but if not I'd suggest holding off about $100 worth of purchases until February just encase it's a really good polybag. Updated list: Considering that if we get his mask they'd probably not bother with a new mould and just use the Ant-Man helmet given it only appears for the Bridge Battle and him smashing it in the alley it does make sense that we could get a Green Goblin helmet in that style. Hopefully it's not just Disney+ series sets, I really want a Legacy Wave for Phase 1-3. At the moment we only know Secret Invasion, Loki S2 and Iron Heart are in 2023 - everything else could be subject to delays. As such I think realistically the line-up could be: Hawkeye (Hawkeye) Kate Bishop with Lucky (Hawkeye) Moon Knight (Moon Knight) Scarlet Scarab (Moon Knight) Ms.Marvel (Ms.Marvel) Red Dagger (Ms.Marvel) She-Hulk (She-Hulk) Titania (She-Hulk) Nick Fury (Secret Invasion) Veranke? (Secret Invasion) Loki (Loki S2) Mobius (Loki S2) 6 Male, 6 Female - perfectly balanced as all things should be What If S2 and Iron Heart will probably get a set or two instead and the other shows if they happen will be saved for the next CMF wave. Not sure I'd want anything on that list though and being a boxed series destroyed any casual interest I have in collecting them -

Relatively small update, but a few things: Pricing and piece count to some of the sets. 76222 has appeared, probably DC, but it's on the list till confirmation. Brickfanatics reported in November 76250 & 76251 are helmets. Site listing the Ant-Man 3 set as a January 1st release, doubt, keeping it as unknown Improved dates for release Theorising for a second, one helmet is releasing in April so could easily see that being Starlord as it's releasing with the GotG sets and potentially the other helmet for Spider-man as we've been waiting on that one for a while. Updated list: Realistically we got Thor's Hammer, it's only a matter of time till we get the shield. Eh, It could also wind up being a smaller more detailed building like the Sanctum or perhaps not even a building at all He hired them to do illegal stuff on the open sea, so technically he's the villain and slaughtering his own men. Yes I have witnessed Morbius The Infinity Saga: Iron Man, Mark 48: The Hulkbuster MK2 featuring the same Bruce Banner figure as in the smaller one
