  1. Goliath does not look like that fan art, he looks like this:
  2. Blind aspects work when its a low price, but we've seen price increases that make it very unlikely anyone would purchase these without knowing what they are. The 'more accessories' aspect is very misleading. Boxes are also at a detriment to stores selling themas they just cannot shift them and people end up destroying them to find out what they are before purchasing. The excuse that it is somehow eco-friendly rather than to encourage sales through making it entirely gambling as to whether you end up getting the figure you want, as opposed to having a chance to feel for the figure you want, makes it even more disgusting practices from Lego. I expect a lot of people will just flock to Bricklink or resellers... IF people even want these figures. Other than Moon Knight who was from a popular series and his design works as comic-inspired and the X-Men who are comic-inspired, every other figure is based on an obscure series. She-Hulk and Hawkeye tied for second lowest viewed Disney+ series. Several of the designs for the characters are based on tiny appearances they had making them appeal less to the general fanbase. The core character they probably expected people to want, Kang, is either going to be recast or scrapped entirely and has only appeared in one film which bombed at the box office. That's how every in-person shop works, customers have handled all of it, especially in toy or impulse buy sections like sweets/chocolates I think at this page, 'suffer the consequences' means Lego just scraps the CMF concept entirely and either encorporates them into sets, as they should have done in the first place, or just in general abandons the CMF line which some feel is distracting from the existing sets.
  3. I come bearing news of something else we can get paranoid over instead With the writers strike ongoing and the film actors guild potentially striking also we could see massive delays to the MCU slate, at minimum it's likely that Deadpool 3 is going to be pushed back to its previous release date of November 8th 2024 meaning a MCU film drought from November 2023 to November 2024. With no films in that time, that means no tie-in Lego sets releasing. I really hope Lego have a lot of awesome legacy sets and comic inspired sets to fill the gap otherwise we could be looking at a vastly reduced amount of Marvel Lego sets in 2024. Deadpool 3 is now looking to be the only MCU film in 2024 and from the Disney+ shows the only ones that are in post-production that can potentially release between now and late 2024 are Loki S2, Echo, Iron Heart and Agatha
  4. Where? D: I've brought one a while back but 45% is impressive. It's amazing, especially considering it's using only the parts from the set. With that said, I'd suggest adding a bit more to it as you go along in the build process, such as swapping a few parts out to improve stability or generally just to fill pieces that Ransom_Fern unfortunately could'nt due to limitations on parts. Also, be careful following the instructions as if you slip up you can accidentally create stuck pieces, so think things through and be sure to check :p
  5. Kinda tired of hand statue builds at this point. It's accurate, just not for me. I'm surprised we've not had a colour-swapped red version of this with an arc reactor build in the palm potentially with a light brick or glow-in-the-dark piece. Then again, I'm still disappointed we've not gotten a Spider-man bust to go alongside the Venom & Carnage.
  6. Working on a potential mech build, wondering how much weight a single one of these can handle? Will end up using as many needed once I understand how many are needed.
  7. Not much to report on lately, some rumours regarding figure selections, but mostly just a quiet month. 2024 set numbers/pricing revealed, these are listed as DC/Marvel so may not all be Marvel Links refined for a few officially revealed sets Updated List:
  8. I'm only potentially getting it for the sake of display/storing of my MCU characters from Phase 1-3, a last hurrah if you will, before I move onto other Marvel or Lego stuff to collect. The delays have cemented it as being time to just let the MCU go.
  9. Selection of figures sounds alright - though for me this one is entirely dependent on the build as I'd want the build to be a display piece for my collection of MCU characters. Some of the figures have me concerned how they will handle them such as Wasp and Ultron - will they get new helmets, which version of them are we getting, etc... Would prefer 2x Chitauri and 2x Iron Legion Armor Drones as opposed to 4x Chitauri. I kinda expect they will including a Loki re-use and the lack of Agent Coulson is a weird one. True, I'm guessing the microfig is not counted as those are sometimes viewed as trophy figures.
  10. At least I can save more for Avengers Tower I guess Tis fine, glad they are helping :P For those keeping track the only unknown sets we are aware of are as follows: 76222 (Likely DC) 76246 76250 rumored to be a Wolverine Helmet. We have about 5 other sets we know the details of that we are waiting to be revealed. Updated List:
  11. NWH set is interesting, but I really don't want repeat figures when they can't even provide the full villain line-up. I may end up bricklinking the new Thanos if it looks good, but yeah, that's a disappointing set. Hopefully the Thanos big fig looks good, needs helmet as a seperate piece this time. Shall wait till June for updated lists, hopefully when at least some things are revealed.
  12. Can you perhaps make it appear online soon'ish :p
  13. To be fair, that gave us a form of Justin Hammer who we did not have along with Agent Coulson's and his car, LOLA. I miss the sorta wild unpredictable nature of those sets, never knowing what we'd get as opposed to just expecting MCU tie-ins and legacy sets with perhaps the occasional D2C.
  14. Apologies, did not realize early catalogue images would count. Shall avoid doing so in future. I doubt the legitimacy a lot primarily due to set 76265 and 76263: 76265: They claim this is a Sovereign ship featuring Gamora, Ayesha, Adam Warlock and Blurp. 76265 has been listed under the DC sets which is why I removed it from the lists and is heavily rumored as a 1989 Batwing. It's possible numbers can change, but it feels like a meme set because people like Blurp. There's also no reason for the delayed release of such a set. 76263: They claim a 66 piece 4+ set as being priced at $24.99 based off Thor's battle with the Destroyer featuring Thor and Jane. This would be a price per piece of $0.379 one of the worst price per piece lego sets. The other predictions such as the Blackbird, Deadpool mech and 76222 being an Aquaman set all feel like guesses rather than anything in concrete.
  15. Yeah, seems like we'll have to wait longer for Marvel reveals.
  16. Shield looks pretty bad, even compared to the Thor's Hammer we got - full stud look just makes it feel unfinished. It's not good enough as a display piece and it looks incredibly fragile so unless you have a mess of technic supports behind it, it's probably going to fall apart easily. Best comment of the thread Venomized Groot reveal? ;) August sets, for reminders: 76249: Venomized Groot ($49.99, 630pcs) 76232: 'Captain Marvel 2' ($89.99, 420pcs) August according to Promobricks 76261: 'NWH Statue Of Liberty Battle' $99.99 (10+, 900 pcs) 76262: Captain America's Shield $199.99 (18+, 3128pcs) 76263: ? (4+, 66 pcs) Brickset 76266: $99.99 (10+,794pcs) Brickset 31209: The Incredible Spider-man ($199.99, 2099pcs) August Venomized Groot I've put here because it's seeming less like a June release at this point. I'd hope we get clarification on 76266 honestly, that's intriguing me more at this point as we at least have a rough idea of the NWH set and it's aspects.
  17. I'm fine with just the NWH set and maybe Avengers Tower being the only Marvel sets that interest me for the rest of the year Would probably make more sense just re-doing the Helicarrier from the first and second film and then people can modify them into the project insight helicarriers if desired.
  18. In terms of new molds are main chances are: Electro's Mask &/or new web pieces, for the NWH set in August Thanos & potentially Thanos' helmet for 76266 if it's based on the Avengers Endgame Final Battle as rumored Granted we don't know if those aspects will necessarily be included, but those are the primary sets to keep an eye on regarding new molds. As for general lack of info, I think at this point because we know most the names and most the sets are movie-based on under higher levels of secrecy due to being D2C's that we'll probably not get as many leaks for a little while. I also think, at least for this year, that what would normally be a June wave has been pushed to August so that could also explain the lack of leak, all the good stuff is later in the year so less likely to be visually leaked at this time.
  19. Hope we get Knuckles, Metal Sonic, Shadow, Rouge, Omega along with Super Sonic and Super Shadow in future waves. Knuckles series is meant to be this year, with writers strike and delays I think it'll wind up being 2024 for the Knuckles series and early 2025 for Sonic 3.
  20. Weird that Lego has to specify the buildable figures as 'Construction figures' when they used to just be 'figures' Lego is taking their time with revealing things, so here's the updated list for May. Updated List: Now that the meme's been done, I think the realistic answer is that the character left with Infinity War/Endgame. What we're getting now is not the character people got attached to and in terms of figure, they can replicate with the head from prior figures. I think it's very much a GotG2 situation where they had a budget and picked one character over another. I would not be surprised if the budget for Marvel themes was lowered due to the underperformance of the films and the set sales which are no doubt impacted by the decreasing popularity of the films.
  21. Bike set is an easy pass, Cap getting shafted again on leg print. The buildable figures look a mess this time around. They kept the shoulder pad solution however the bodies now look rectangular, despite being superheroes based on peak physical form they have no muscular definition when compared to the cheaper Spider-man buildable figure. The posable fingers in concept is neat but in execution look weird, maybe you need like a new hand piece for them to attach to in order to make them feel more natural. The humanoid faces look awkward, it's why Lego should really focus buildable figures primarily on those who are completely masked, in-human or robotic. The failure of the Wolverine mask and brick-built parts emphasizes why it does not translate well to every character and should have always been a selective process. The price increase in insulting, there's no justifying it. I still feel buildable figures are the way forward in regards to certain characters and/or themes such as Bionicle, I could see a very succesful range of these figures from £15-£25, but not here and especially not for £32. These are just £32 shelf-warmers, too expensive for the younger audience and lacking the details for older audiences. Shall probably wait to update list until that reveal. I really don't get why the Marvel theme has took such a steep nosedive in quality though, the start of the year looked promising with legacy sets but now it's just buildable figures and a Groot variant with the only hope being nostalgia focused legacy sets.
  22. Probably doing another update in early May when we will hopefully get visuals and official reveals of the June sets. Updates include: Wolverine Helmet has a potential release date of August 1st Spider-man art set is comic inspired 31209 is now reported to be 'The Amazing Spider-man' instead of 'The Incredible Spider-man' and is comic-inspired Exclusive figure for the visual dictionary is an Iron Man comic variant The only unknown sets we are currently aware of are: 76222 A holdover set from last year and is likely DC 76246 Which we have no info on 76263 A 4+ set in August 76266 In August, rumored to be based on a scene from Avengers Endgame Updated List: Venomized Groot, the two buildable figures and the bike chase set are the only sets we are aware of for June. We'll probably see those officially revealed early May. Last year we had set of the Groot set and the Armory on reveals on May 3rd so can probably expect the same sorta timeline this year :) August sets we sadly are unlikely to see until sometime after mid June, even without Lego CON this year that's still the rough timeline for August set reveals. My hope is that more info will drop on 76266, as if that set is inspired by the Avengers Endgame final battle then hopefully we'd see a new big fig Thanos ideally with a removable helmet which was the main thing missing from his previous release. I'd also hope we get surprised with another set related to NWH containing Lizard or perhaps simply a unique polybag or promotional set that will be used to encourage sales of Avengers Tower in November. Oh and I'm still waiting on the Spider-man head that we should have alongside the Venom & Carnage heads along with more buildable figure villains as at the moment we only have Venom.
  23. 5,261 pieces is a lot, but realistically that probably just means it'd be something like below. Even if the focus was primarily on Avengers Tower and not the below section, I don't think they could make a platform strong enough to hold the Quinjet while also still providing a satisfying Avengers Tower at that piece count. I also doubt it'd look good in terms of scale to have an attempted minifigure scale Quinjet on a tower that, while potentially having minifigure scale interior rooms, is going to be scaled down considerably from minifigure scale.
  24. Why? Spider-man is the most popular characters in Marvel and a set with three of them targetting a multi-generational audience is sure to sell well. It's possible there was never plans for 9 figures to begin with and that was just a rumour that got out of hand, but according to Stonewars.de; MJ, Ned and Doctor Strange are not in the set - as such the hope is that the figure quality of the six figures: Tobey, Andrew, Tom, Goblin, Ock, Electro are exceptional to justify the price.
  25. Given the pricing, and the drop from 9 figures to 6 figures, they'd better deliver on Tobey & Andrew. I don't see them doing alternate heads though. Also they really need to find a way to include Lizard somehow.
