  1. Its likely referring to when the set is released you can enquire about details. Either way the 'Brick Specialists' probably wont reveal details until close to the sets VIP release.
  2. London Toy Fair; - Didnt have the Helicarrier on display according to reports - Doesnt particularly allow photography Also those that went also neglected to write down too many AoU set details because we've seen the sets now, as such i doubt someone would risk photographing something available in the Argos Catalogue. Its possible, just unlikely
  3. Doubt it... in the UK the Mask Maker VS Skull Grinder set is £25. Meaning a Large Toa (14.99) and a Protector (£9.99) so that doesnt leave room for the additions of adding in the extra gearbox. I'm guessing the lack of two masks equates to the gearbox? Toa - 3 masks (Including Skull Spider) Protector - 2 masks (Including Skull Spider) Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder - max of 3 masks Doubt they have the same mask given Risgrynsgrot went into detail to describe Skull Basher's head, which he would'nt need to do if all the heads/masks were the same. (Going under the belief he's telling the truth)
  4. Next most likely option is the 28th January with the German Toy Fair. Also, according to 'TheBrickFan' 'No word on the UCS Avengers Helicarrier (76042) but there are new rumors that it will be revealed this week' So we will most likely see it before the end of the month. If we get into February and they have'nt revealed the set then they are likely saving it for a suprise to VIP's. (Personally i would'nt be suprised if they avoided unvieling it at the toy fair because they have to deal with the Lego Ideas entry that also was a Helicarrier, thus they delayed unvieling it till after the Lego Ideas draws, which i believe may be the end of January?)
  5. I was confused by the price also, but it equates to about one Protector (£9.99) and one large toa (14.99). As such i guess the pricing make sense to an extent. 28th i believe has the Nuremberg toy fair, we'll more than likely get pics from that
  6. Tried it and it does work well, though it does depend mostly on the weight of the weapons; http://i.imgur.com/F8INyfi.jpg Due to the price and size of Tahu, Kopaka and Onua they would be classed as 'large sets' of the new wave. Comparing them to the older titans they are more simplistic with only a gearbox that makes them slightly complex, and that is a piece that is more Technic based. Alternatively due to the piece count Lord Of Skull Spiders could be considered a titan and he is more complex than the Toa... Just pointing out also that the comparison you made is between the pieces of CCBS and the look of Gen 1 Bionicle figures, not the CCBS pieces compared with the Bionicle/Technic pieces which your comparison should have been if you were trying to say the CCBS pieces are better than the Bionicle/Technic or visa versa.
  7. I dont hate CCBS and have purchased many CCBS sets. I do own the entire wave of Winter 2015 Bionicle's plus duplicates... it just feels like the builds are a little simple. I understand their are limits, but i feel they could have done a bit better. The set i most enjoy is LoSS because he impliments Technic with CCBS in a way that works. Though thats not saying i view LoSS as a perfect set, just one of the more adventurous sets in the Winter Wave. Though as you say we dont necessarily need to talk about CCBS unless you want, while i dont necessarily love CCBS i still like the sets. Chances are it'll be four geared arms, though that limits articulation via the rotation to only 180 without clashing pieces, so could see them trying a different method.
  8. It was a conversation between me and a member named Barry Donovan, not sure if he's a staff member
  9. True, makes sense that it would'nt be as popular as other lines or Technic. Just thought with Bionicle returning this year that they'd try and make the most of media events, even if was just a small display, Just to try and raise awareness of the line's return.
  10. That would be an amazing set, even if they are normal sized figures have enlarged surroundings or something
  11. True i guess... i'm happy to wait till we get pictures also, but i like the hype of details.
  12. Interested in Sandman and Carnage, but the rest of the figures dont really interest me. Not really got much desire to own an Iron Spider figure, though it depends on how its done (Back arms?) Miles Morale's Spider costume might be worth picking up, if he has it... Kind of agree, not really a fan of the brick-built figures and little desire to get an ASM2 based Rhino.
  13. Suprised, from the sounds of it we didnt get Bionicle sets at the London Toy Fair... though i suppose it was mostly licensed based sets. As far as i am aware nobody is saying he is wrong about what he is saying regarding what TLG said. Only point being made was simply that the official statements from TLG were designed to be open-ended as to whether the Generations could be connected in the future. E.g. they could state a reboot and later clarify it as a semi or hard reboot, being a reboot doesnt necessarily mean the other Generation ceases to exist or didnt happen (The conversation has been evolving and changing each time, it only goes back to the Mask Of Time discussion when new information about the Mask Of Time is revealed. Nobody is restricting the conversation to only be about the Mask Of Time, so feel free to suggest/start a new Bionicle related topic if you want. Personally i think most people just discuss whatever the topic is at the time)
  14. Just a theory i guess, if they plan on using time travel they could create a paradox where the Toa create their own destiny via going back in time to create the prophecy that summoned them to Okoto in the first place.
  15. The official comments claiming that that this is a reboot, yet how much of a reboot is up for debate. I dont believe a connection is certain, i just hope that they do something with the constant refrences to time. Would i find it nice if they announced a connection in the future, yes. Do i believe the story can only be good if its connected, no. Personally i believe its open ended at the moment, hence why we are unlikely to get an official statement that denies the potential for a connected universe, though i support the idea that they could possibly connect it in the future if they desired. In addition i dont view myself as 'negativity (or close mindedness?) and animosity.' and i am not filled with 'willful ignorance' as Vader states either, If anything the one's throwing insults at those who are discussing in a discussion topic are filled with more negativity, animosity, close mindedness and ignorance than i am. I can understand choosing to state in a discussion topic that you dont plan to discuss things because you are waiting on official statments, yet insulting others and stopping them discussing it results in the topic remaining silent and nobody can discuss anything without petty insults being thrown at them from you or Vader. Whether they will specifically state that the generations are connected we cannot be sure of, however isnt it more fun to discuss the possibility rather than just sit and do nothing other than insult those speculating while waiting for more official announcements that may not come for many years. Once we get an official announcement then we know for sure, but until then why not talk about things in the flow of the discussion and keep the community active? Alternatively if you dont plan on discussing anything, then atleast have the decency not to insult people for discussing it. Theory; Going under the belief that the Toa are the only ones who Time Travel - The Toa were summoned from the future, have memory loss, summoned to Present Day, they learn of the prophecy and then travel to the Past for reasons and become the creators of the prophecy. - The Toa were summoned from the Past, have memory loss, summoned to Present Day, they learn of the prophecy and eventually travel back to the Past becomming the creators of the prophecy - The Jungle Protectors using their 'tails' to predict a prophecy where the Toa arrive in Present Day, which Ekimu believes and thus the prophecy is created Try here, though at the moment no news on Bionicle; http://brickfanatics.co.uk/london-toy-fair-2015-report/
  16. Currently the only set to include Power Man is 76016 Spider-Helicopter Rescue, it came out last year so it should still be available. According to the LEGO 2015 Set Release Dates & Promo Details the promo bag comes with purchases in June. To get it you'd need to buy something from the Lego Shop that reaches a certain price. Though we will get more details closer to the date.
  17. I suppose thats true, though would be a nice gift for older fans, having an updated Vahi that fits on the new mask. I suppose if the Gen 2 Mask Of Time wont play too much of a part in the story we could get that in a polybag eventually? Personally if its a set i'm banking on it being a small 'Skull warrior' essentially a very simplified protector build with a Skull Spider mask for a face. If its just a mask then either a Gold Protector Mask (Though the Mask Maker set might have this), Transparent Skull Spider mask or maybe a Transparent Protector Mask. Not sure, normally they appear between the start and middle of the previous month. E.g. February Calendar appeared before 15th January Speaking from experience they tend to hide things in plain site such as the Mata Nui Robot, with characters literally making statements that confirm his existence as far back as MNOG before the reveal. Given the new target is to simplify the story and make it as obvious to kids as possible they may actually come out and state important story aspects in order to keep the young new fans up-to-date. Its a little foolish to reveal things, but i would'nt put it past them to hide things in plain site.
  18. The Ideas version is likely not related to the version that is currently planned for release, also i could see the UCS line expanding to bigger sets in future due to its popularity... but thats my own thoughts on the line While the initial Ideas design was insanely large, when Lego stated that due to its size it was unlikely to be made a set, the designer scaled it down to a much smaller version. Either way, that set would have been entered fairly with a chance of winning, only issue is that the set has already been made by Lego at this point. So the question remains how they handle it... Though i do agree that most the insanely large things such as the X-Mansion and Wayne Manor are more made to be giant for the sake of being giant, i've always viewed those sets as 'end game' sets. Once you make them, you cant really make anymore building sets without looking frail in comparison. --- Either way, looking forward to hearing news about the set during the Toy Fair and hopefully an image leaks :3
  19. I believe they'll likely give an announcement that the UCS Helicarrier has been in development since before the Ideas entry (Whether that is true or not) and that because of this they unfortunately had to remove that entry. Will be interested to see how they handle it in honesty as i feel sorry for the guy who spent so long designing the ideas version.
  20. True, we dont have a confirmed location for the temple of time. It has grass near it though so we can probably rule out certain locations... but nothing to place it. The locations are based mostly off the animation, so might not be 100% correct, just transferred them from the animated map to the 'real life based' map. This shows the location where the Toa landed, and where they landed was revealed in the animations to be outside the respective villages/tribes. http://www.lego.com/...l.r=-1336109584 The Gali Gold mask was determined via the descriptions of the underwater ravine and the whirlpool that it generates, only one whirlpool was shown so i'm going under the belief its their. Tahu's gold mask was determined by the image of the Volcano's in the background when he climbed with the Protectors, we could see several Volcanoes but no mountain, implying it was the tallest Volcano and that the background was towards the sea. Just wondering if this might be the 'Gift With Purchase' in March (I think its March)
  21. The price was stated by a Brickset member and relayed by TheBrickFan along with the set name, number and March 1st release date. Please dont write something as factual without stating either a source or where/how you found the information...
  22. Looking at the image more now, i've noticed some smoke/mist/fog coming form the side of the middle mountain into Gali's region. Given that the concept art depicts the ancient city as surrounded by fog/mist i would'nt be suprised if the ancient city is in or near the middle mountain Their was a piece of concept art with the six toa standing at the bridge to the ancient city, so you are probably correct about them meeting up their. If i had to guess a theory would be that Makuta (via his own awareness or being controlled by the MoUP) travelled to the stone region for a reason, likely to release whatever is buried under the stone region as the ground cracked when he put on the MoUP. Alternatively he just wanted to be away from Ekimu when he put on the Mask so that Ekimu didnt know he had made it...
