  1. Summer sets so far appear to be the following; Carnage’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Attack (76036) Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team-up (76037) - Rhino is brick-built like the Hulkbuster Marvel’s Ant-Man (76039) - Unconfirmed if its based on the movie or animated series Untitled Iron Spider-man set There are also one or two other sets that will be released in the summer wave
  2. So, we have confirmation that the UCS Helicarrier will be released as a VIP Exclusive on February 17th before being released publicly to everyone on March 1st. Hopefully we will be seeing pics incredibly soon
  3. Ok so here is how i understand the timeline to be for those confused; - Okoto villagers lived in harmony - Several Masks were gifted to the village elders by Ekimu, the mask maker - At some point the Mask Makers Ekimu and Makuta made a deal never to make a Mask with all 6 elements - Makuta grew jealous of Ekimu and created the Mask Of Ultimate Power - The Mask of Ultimate Power took control over him - The Island cracked - Ekimu knocked the Mask of Ultimate Power from his face causing an explosion that scattered the masks (Creation, Control, Ultimate Power) - The protectors discovered the body of Ekimu and learned the prophecy of heroes - The protectors buried Ekimu in the city - An unspecified amount of time passed as the Protectors waited for the stars/planets to align so they could summon the Toa - At some point during this time the cracks in the Island awakened the Skull Spiders - The toa were summoned via the Temple Of Time using the Mask Of Time - The toa arrived on the island and met with their respective tribes - The toa located their specific golden masks with the help of the elder Protector - The toa began their search for the Mask Of Creation - The toa located the Mask Of Creation and had a battle for its posession with the Skull Spiders Unknown timeline events; - Prophecy of heroes was made - Ekimu learnt of the Toa Lucky guy :P Congrats on getting the sets
  4. Huh, well i got the list off brickset and it didnt include Rocket for some reason... probably because it was originally a comic con exclusive or something?
  5. Marvel currently have 7 Polybags; - 5000022: The Hulk - 30163: Thor and the Cosmic cube - 30165: Hawkeye with equipment - 30162: Quinjet - 30167: Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone - 30168: Gun mounting system - 30302: Spider-Man They are also releasing a Winter Soldier polybag next year
  6. Agreed about all points :L Helicarrier will most likely be Agent Coulson, Maria Hill, Black Widow and Nick Fury, as i get the feeling they'll sort of merge the project they were working on with the Lego Ideas version in order to secure sales. We may get more than those four, but those four seem pretty likely (2 exclusives, Black Widow being the AoU version and Nick Fury having a different costume) As for an interior room or scene, still betting that it'll be the command console room at the front of the vehicle and the 'lab' at the back.
  7. Yeah, we saw it earlier in this topic. That is indeed the official polybag we'll be getting.
  8. True, just wondering how they'll do the arms... I get the feeling the idea is to make Ant-Man mirror Peter Parker and have Yellowjacket be a sort of 'Doctor Octopus' style threat...
  9. Old fans know the original Vahi could not allow the user to Travel through Time, only powers it had were to 'Let user speed up or slow down time in an area' as such showing it to explain that the Mask Of Time has Time Travel powers would be like a slap to the face for old fans... as they know the Vahi could never do that. Would'nt it make more sense actually announcing the Protectors used a 'Mask Of Time' to summon the Toa? They did this in the lego magazine so the Vahi would'nt be here for that reason... (Added that to the list also)
  10. Final thing then If we are'nt getting a mask that looks like the G1 version and the G1 version has no relevance on the story in G2, why is it their? - It would'nt be an easter egg as it would'nt make sense to include a G1 easter egg in G2 just to mess around with fans, specifically if you are introducing a different looking Mask Of Time that is crucial to the story - If as you say its not a second half that combines with the G1 half then we cant use the excuse of it being part of the G2 Mask Of Time - It would'nt be story relevance as you discarded that - It would'nt be for a nod to G1 as logically it would'nt make sense to include an obscure Vahi rather than the more recogniseable Avohkii or Ignika - If its not a link to the G1 universe then we cant use the excuse that anyone in G2 would know what the original Vahi looked like either - Old Vahi didnt have Time Travel yet the new Mask Of Time does, showing the old mask to support the idea of Time Travel would just be contradicting the original G1 So via all you've presented its just their for absolutely no reason other than to say 'you remember how we had the Vahi in the original universe, well now its gone'
  11. Seeing as you are naturally jumping to claiming that my side of the conversation is automatically lost because i point out that people may lie to cover potential spoilers or because they are not allowed to disclose information at the current time. This has occured in many different professions, and its not uncommon for Lego to do this, most noticeably a few misdirections that can be found when looking back at the Bionicle Lore and conversations with TLG during the events of the first generation that led away from the Mata Nui reveal. Regardless, as mentioned by others their is no point in furthering this conversation as none of you actually want to speculate or discuss Bionicle, you just want to accept what you are told. I hope, in a couple of years time IF they do announce a connection between this and the old universe, that you'll actually be a lot less argumentative in the future to others. Getting theories and speculating about Bionicle is what the community should be, not just sitting around waiting for the next piece of official news to come out and tell them what to think. What happened to the days when we translated Bionicle symbols and speculated about the story? Until that point continuing the conversation seems to be fruitless as any sort of speculative discussion is this discussion topic is automatically discarded in favour of believing what you were told outside of the story rather than what is being shown in the story.
  12. Looking at the image (Higher quality version) i wonder how they'll do Yellowjacket as a figure...
  13. Try this; http://www.thehut.com/elysium.search?search=bionicle Its more of a pre-order thing however it seems to be the only way to get the sets in the UK at the current time.
  14. Similar imagery is intentionally used in that case to sell Hero Factory to fans of Bionicle In this case, it could be the same, however its more that simply standing in a pose. The type of villains, the cocoons and the green webbing all give a very 'Web Of Shadows' style theme along with the basic idea of all the Skull Spiders/Visorak being controlled by once central villain who has ties to Makuta... Its worth noting that several questions during the end of that interview were intentionally warped by the Lego staff to avoid giving a straight answer. Most noteably is at 31:22 when asked the question about potentially having other character from the past such as Takanuva return they responded they didnt have plans to re-release old sets, which was not the question asked. As such the legitimacy of the answers must be taken into question, how much can you trust a company who have lied in the past to cover-up events in the original Bionicle series? If you were Lego and wanted to cover-up a potential GSR event, surely you would state that its a reboot. Then you could go back on your word in future claiming that it was a different kind of reboot or simply state that its a reboot that can be viewed as a sequel to the previous generation. Mentioning its a reboot doesnt necessarily remove the possibility of it being in-canon from the previous storyline as per Terminator Genisys compared to the other Terminator films. In recent years their have been tons of examples of 'Reboots' that have kept the previous generation in canon; Terminator Genisys, X-Men Days Of Future Past, Resident Evil; Begins, Evil Dead (2013), G.I.Joe Retaliation, Star Trek, etc... If we are indeed getting the whole mask of time then showing the Vahi would be ridiculous as it not only links it to the old universe, but it also emphasises the idea that the universes may be connected. If its also a different version of that mask then once again, showing the 'half a mask' version from G1 is silly. Even as an Easter Egg that would be unbeneficial to new fans and would give false hopes for a continuation to fans of the G1 Era. Then you have to factor in the whole mention of Time Travel... why would the Toa be summoned via Time Travel using the Mask Of Time in the Temple Of Time if the idea of Time isnt important to the story? Granted Time Travel will likely be used in 2016 so they can travel back to the ancient city when it wasnt ancient, yet whats the point of having them come from a different Time at the start of the story? If this was indeed a reboot as Lego keep trying to get us to believe then why would they intentionally write so much to do with Time Travel into the origin. The intentional memory loss of the Toa for instance, memory loss being a plot device used many times so that the information can be revealed at a later stage. A lot of what has been written recently via Lego seems to imply that the story is a continuation. The only thing we have against it is their word, which isnt entirely trustworthy. I understand a lot of people are just going to accept what Lego state officially as fact, however being someone who grew up with the original generation and knowing what Lego has done in the past to keep thing a secret, i personally dont trust the official word. Especially when the official word complicates the story even more than just acknowledging it as a continuation, it doesnt make sense if we view this series as a reboot, too much similar hints towards it being a continuation (as i've spoken about prior) Remember these are the same people who told us Bionicle wasnt coming back for several years despite its return being worked on since 2012... From a writing standpoint that would be rather silly of Lego, writing in the possibility of three masks and then giving two or three away in the first year in a single set; If anything it seems like the intention is to simply have; Ekimu Vs Skull Grinder. This summer mask either being the Skull Grinder's or another one of the Summer Villain sets. The main mask of the set likely being the Mask Of Creation given its overall focus in this years adverts. Then 2016 would be the Mask Of Creation with Makuta with 2017 being the Mask Of Ultimate Power. Then if the line was popular enough to warrant future years they'd venture more into the Mask Of Time and have that as a set in 2018.
  15. Indeed, in the UK its apparently £59.99, got the piece count via the same source so the pricing is likely correct.
  16. Technically he is Ultimate Ultron who is exclusive... though i suppose its up for debate. Though considering he's new for the year, that might count towards it also.
  17. If they didnt want it to be the same mask why would they go to so much effort to make it look exactly the same and plaster it everywhere... its getting us recognised with the image. If it was just time travel they could have just said Temple Of Time or made a focus on an unspecified Mask Of Time without the Vahi images. This part will probably happen in 2016 with the idea of them going back in time to investigate the Ancient City back when it wasnt ancient... seems like its being hyped for story significance. Doesnt really need to be muddled, could simply be along the lines of 'G1' happened and then they went back in time to the distant past where G2 is happening' It wont be something they reveal immediately if it does happen, it'd be some sort of twist that would be revealed when G2 ends. They did start work on G2 around 2012 so its likely the story was being worked on very shortly after the original storyline ended.
  18. The GSR wasnt noticeable for practically anyone in G1. The new series is apparently more child focused, as such it logically makes sense that they'd make the GSR event more easily noticeable. I mean, laying this out with the basics; Temple Of Time, Mask Of Time, Toa lacking memories, Focus on the past and future, Ancient Prophecy of the Toa, carvings of the Toa despite the Toa not arriving on the Island Can you really tell me all this doesnt hint towards time travel that could be used to connect the generations?
  19. This ^ If we look at whats been shown to us directly then we have a ton of factual evidence supporting the idea of this being some form of GSR (Great Spirit Robot) event that will be revealed in future. A way for Lego to say 'hey, look at us, we planned this from the start. if you go back you can see the clues leading up to the reveal' Honestly if it is a polybag i'd expect it to be a recolored Protector Mask or a recolored Skull Spider given the release date. Seems a bit early for it to be based around any of the Summer Sets. Then again it could be the NYCC transparent Tahu mask... Its more ignorance to directly ignore whats being presented in favour of ones personal opinions on the matter.
  20. I listed multiple aspects and support for these aspects hinting towards it being a continuation... you meanwhile have no evidence to support any of your debunks or otherwise. - Their is nothing debunking the Mask Of Time being part of the same mask or even the same mask as the Vahi in G1 - Their is nothing stating that the 'Half a mask' comment meant nothing - Whole mask and full mask have exactly the same meaning - Easter Eggs have been used in the past of Bionicle to hint towards Mata Nui being under the Island Certain aspects of the Toa have changed but thats nothing compared to the changes the Toa Metru went under when they became Hordika and that was still the same continuity. If anything everything factual points it not to be a new continuity, something which you want everyone to ignore for some odd reason...
  21. No, if anything evidence keeps piling up that its connected; The intentional disappearance of the 'Temple Of Time' from the NYCC2014 pics that were uploaded The constant appearances of the Vahi as clues The confirmation that the Mask Of Time was used to summon the Toa The constant refrences by the announcer to combining the past and future 'evoke the power of past and future' The Skull Spiders being displayed on art in an almost identical way to the Visorak The Toa having convenient memory loss that prevents them from remembering where they came from The mention of the G1 Vahi being 'half a mask' The mention of this being a similar style reboot to the Star Trek films If anything these are all signs pointing that this G2 is connected to G1, that these are the exact same Toa that travelled from the old universe to the new. That this is either the past or future that the toa have been summoned to (Likely the past) As MonkeyChud points out if the original mask we got in G1 was 'half of a mask' and we are getting the 'whole mask' in G2. That still implies that we get the second half of the Vahi. Granted it'll be combined with the first half, but we'll still get the second half. I doubt as you say that it was simply saying 'that mask looks like half a mask' because that would be redundant and stating the obvious that any Bionicle fan would know. It would just be completely pointless to tell someone, specifically when trying to give them hints to the future of Bionicle during NYCC2014.
  22. I was only counting entirely exclusive figures. If they have been released before or elsewhere in a slightly altered form then i didnt count them as they would'nt be unique to that set.
  23. There was talk about the second half of the Vahi back at NYCC2014 and the comparison that the new generation was similar to the Star Trek reboot. There has been some debate over what that means but the basic theory is;
  24. Yeah, Quinjet is cheaper than the Milano. Its likely due to us already effectively getting a Quinjet in the past, plus it technically only having two exclusive figures (Vision and Ultimate Ultron) compared to the Milano's three exclusive figures (Ronan, Gamora, Drax)
  25. Dont think we have US prices... but we have UK prices if that helps with converting it? 76029 Iron Man vs Ultron (90 pieces) (£11.99) 76030 Hydra Avengers Showdown (220 pieces) (£19.99) 76031 The Hulkbuster Smash (248 pieces) (£29.99) 76032 Avengers Quinjet City Chase (722 pieces) (£59.99) 76038 Attack on Avengers Tower (511 pieces) (£49.99)
