Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
We'll probably see it sometime after the 12th (As they reveal the new AoU trailer then) so probably the 15th? Though we will likely see it this month. Whenever the ideas set is revealed they'll probably have to announce that the Helicarrier was removed due to them already working on a Helicarrier. I would kill for this xD -
I kinda agree, he's provided more detail so it'll be easier to verify his claim when we get the Toy Fair news. Just checked, the design works fine however each arm only has 180° rotation as otherwise they begin to knock against each other. The result is a slicing motion where when the top blades move back the lower blades move in providing a nice stabbing motion. Could see it working for a set though due to the heavyness of the arms you likely would'nt be able to have longer arms than the ones shown here. Just pointing out, its been speculated for a while that these are the Summer sets and that those are the Skull Warriors (And Skull Scorpio being buried behind them, hence the Scorpion legs) however, this site doesnt really count as confirmation or news... Its just speculation. Fun speculation, but just that. It was also Skull Slicer who was meant to have four arms in the Summer sets, not Skull Warrior... Oh... and looking at the image they dont actually seem to have four arms... they have two arms and a Scorpion tail.

As pointed out beneath, one source is lying. We have conflicting information and neither seems able to provide proof at the moment to back-up the claim. This topic was not only founded upon a leaked image but it was also created by someone who leaks tons of Lego stuff on this site and on his youtube which he shares constantly on this site via links. If the rule isnt enforced constantly then situations like this occur. The people who get past this and do post are the main reason people visit Eurobricks... they want to see leaks and they want to be able to discuss the leaks. If someone is commenting about leaked image details, i'm not sure why the leaked image itself cannot be shown as proof, especially if the rule is tossed aside whenever someone feels like not enforcing it. If the person posting information cannot back-up his/her source in anyway then it weakens the reason for why it would be posted here in the first place, as proven now we have two conflicting sources of information both stating different comments about the 2015 Summer sets. Whats the point of visiting a site for information if we have Risgrynsgrot claiming Skull Scorpio has 6 legs while Exo-6 states its the same design as the HF Scorpio with 8 legs... Somebody is lying, and neither is posting any proof. (Their are other discrepancies between the two sources also) Didnt we see the catalogue which refered to Lord Of Skull Spiders as a singular entity?

Yeah, seems to be varied, i have blades that clip together for Tahu, yet on Kopaka they dont yet Kopaka's mask is tight. Yet my friend had loose blades on Tahu and a loose mask. Given one mentioned Red and Black villains and the other mentioned they were Tan... its likely that one is/was making up things. The newer source gave us more details from a variety of sets so i'd be more willing to trust the newer source. Though i still dont understand why they dont share the images if they have them, it would be easier to prove that you have them.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Once again, feel the need to emphasise this that the only source we currently have on how the set is sized, figures, etc... is the comparison between it and the Super Star Destroyer. -
- The masks being loose and non-clicking board issues have been experienced by myself and some friends along with many reports of it being experienced online. All those exeriencing this were quick to get the new sets and got them before most others. You can also find reports of it online and in some reviews and comments on Youtube. - The loose pin issue has been reported several times including in . The user 'Tahu Master Of Fire' also pointed out having this issue along with quite a few others. While the bent swords may be due to packaging and the masks colour variation may be due how they are made in general, the rest of these issues seem present in many of the earlier sets but not the newer versions. E.g. its more likely that it was just a few early faulty batches and that they fixed it after doing the first few batches They mentioned at NYCC that they recently fixed the mask issues to make them tighter so its likely that they had produced sets beforehand given they had actual finished sets on display and pieces were given to VIPS.

Actually the Mask tolerance issue is real and has been linked to several batches of sets being produced before the sets were 'fixed' after complaints around NYCC. Issues that crop up in those unfixed early batches seem to be the following; - Blades of Tahu/Kopaka not clicking together - Loose masks (To varying extents) - Tahu's pins tend to be loose - Bent pieces (possibly just due to being badly packaged/handled, but a lot of people seem to be having this issues also) - Protector's masks having 'run colours' where the colours have blended making the transperency a lot weaker A couple of friends who got the sets before January 1st have the Tahu/Kopaka issue and the Mask looseness

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

His size was intended to replicate the prison escape... so he's in scale with that scene. The issue being that he doesnt fit anywhere else due to this... In my mind a vehicle is only a good representation if it can fit all the characters shown in that vehicle during its appearance... UCS builds are excluded from this but generally a vehicle should have enough seats for all the members, especially if its a team vehicle like the Milano, X-Men jet or otherwise... -

Well, the Milano could never fit the large brick-built Groot... meaning it kinda failed as a jet for me. As the Milano is meant to be able to carry all the guardians. Granted we later got 'potted-plant' Groot, but that is a NYCC exclusive i believe... -
Could really be either... at this moment in time we have'nt really got anyway to confirm it. I know the Lego Products page redirects if its typed as Skull Destroyer... however, that could mean that Skull Grinder is the preliminary name and that Skull Destroyer is the new name... we'll have to wait.

I would'nt be so quick to jump on the set until we see the images... Same - pretty much this idea for ages... -
I know the feeling, i've had to wait since the 1st with my sets being in the warehouse with no change until today... :L

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Its a rumors and discussion topic, not really a topic for news. Its better to keep this active with speculation and hype regardless as otherwise we would'nt be getting sets like the Helicarrier in the first place. Its through community hype that the word gets out their and people buy the sets. If you are looking for news, in honesty it'll probably appear on either Just2Good, TheBrickFan or Groovebricks before most other places -
Its not the fact that he's making mistakes, its the fact none of what he's said has had time to happen. As such none of the information he has provided has actually happened, so not sure how you are calling it reliable when we have no way of judging if he's telling the truth. It could still happen, but the only thing he's gotten right that we have any evidence of at the current moment is the August release for the Summer sets... but given most sets are released in August it could have easily been a guess. As with most of his other statements, its so bare bones in details that it could be a complete guess. If he's seen the sets he could give us more details than just essentially telling us what we already know such as the potential inclusion of Tan in a set that is based on a region that is entirely focused around Tan and Brown pieces. He need to say something that only someone who has seen the sets would know and then we'll know he's telling the truth when the Summer sets are revealed later this month or next. For the moment though nothing he's provided has been his source other than the August release date, which may have been a guess; - The tan comes from the speculation that the Skull Scorpion Warrior is the one in the Pohatu animation - The number of sets come from a leaked document released a month prior to his statement - The Summer wave consisting entirely of villains is subjective, i view it as incorrect due to the 'Mask Makers Vs.' set - The trailer he mentioned containing Gali and the Earth protector in toy form has not appeared - Etc... Until he provides something that can actually be verified as an official source of information about the sets then i dont trust his 'source' as valid as none of it has actually been verified as something only someone who has seen the sets could know. Bionifigs mostly. Though he rarely makes any information available in one thread and instead its mostly as replies to random individuals or snippets that Bionifigs uses to support their more speculative articles. In that post his two comments used in the article simply follow the general consensus of fan theory. Thats its not the MoUP that was revealed but the head of a Summer Villain (Duh) and that the images from the Pohatu animations are 'possibly' going to be seen as Summer sets. If you read each of his comments you notice a pattern that he never actually confirms or denies anything and instead throws doubt into something by saying 'As I recall', 'possibly', 'might' or otherwise...

More prominant in terms of them generally gaining the larger sets, e.g. Summer 2011 with the main focus being the villains. They got more unique parts than the heroes and more complexity as shown by Witch Doctor compared to Rocka XL. If you mean in the animations, they both have elbows. If you mean the sets or comics, they both lack elbows Most likely they'll contain a Skull Scorpion with them... even if they are villains i doubt they'd drop the idea of having a small figure for conflict

We could see an updated or MCU version, but i feel they'd spend more time making the Coulson figure accurate as he's more of the fan favourite at this point (with Agents Of Shield) -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
(Grr, image extensions were not allowed ¬_¬) Nobody is expecting a full-size helicarrier. Instead like the Super Star Destroyer which it was compared to via a Lego employee, we are expecting it to be a similar situation. Imagining this Super Star Destroyer (Helicarrier), the mini-Imperial Star Destroyer (Quinjet) is in scale with the actual exterior of the build while the interior contains a small playable segment in this case the bridge (Either the bridge, lab or prison) which is in scale with the figures but not the exterior. This allows for playability without attempting to be in true scale, we get a small segment that is in scale in order for playability despite playability not being the main focus. We then get four-five figures normally with a few being exclusive figures in this case the chances are Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Black Widow, Maria Hill like the Lego Ideas Helicarrier, possibly including Bruce Banner. This would give us about the same amount of exclusive figures as this set had at the time with Agent Coulson, Maria Hill and Bruce Banner being exclusive to this set. -
When did he say this, as the Protectors were referred to as Defenders up until when we got confirmation of them combining with the Toa and then they became known as Protectors. It is also once again predictable as we've had combiners a lot recently between the good guys and the last few years of Bionicle also had combiners between the Matoran and Toa, specifically with the Phantoka. Its easily possible that he guessed August as the leaked document from September 14th stated a summer release and some of the last Hero Factory sets were given a summer release in August. Their was a leaked document that originally gave us the name Okoto which mentioned a total of 18 sets planned for 2015, as such the fact there would'nt be many sets was common knowledge as we knew we were getting only 5 in Summer since September 14th - almost half a month before he went to the thing in October. The idea that all the sets are villain sets is actually incorrect, Mask Maker VS Skull Grinder implies that one of them is a good guy and the Mask Maker title implies its Ekimu as it matches with the concept art. The addition of the Mask Of Creation likely being released in that set also further hint towards it being a good guy vs bad guy set. The idea of them all being villains or containing villains could also easily be guessed by looking at the past few waves of Hero Factory where the villains have been more prominant in the second half of the year. As such the only information provided that wasnt officially revealed before he stated is the potential for 'some kind of tan' which is already heavily hinted at via the animations as once again, the villains from the summer wave are from Pohatu's region. The set that everyone believes will be a summer set (the scorpion warrior in the animation) is also tan colored. Honestly this one does seem more like a guess to me, he mentions an option but then covers himself by saying that its 'some kind of tan' and saying that it 'isnt impossible' --- If he really wants to prove that he saw the sets we need to know stuff well ahead of time that cant be guessed, such as the exact weapons that the sets have (Other than the one shown in the Pohatu animation or the Mask Maker probably having a hammer) or specific details that are unpredictable.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I dont expect a large interior, but having a specific room from The Avengers seems likely. Probably Bruce's lab, which may be an excuse for a Bruce Banner figure... Either way... should hopefully see it soon... Ant-Man trailer on the 6th, AoU trailer on the 12th so maybe the Helicarrier reveal on the 18th? :P I dont know, but either way, we'll see the set this month somehow... i hope... -

Feels like a mix between Captain America; The First Avengers, Captain America; The Winter Soldier and Iron Man. -
None of what he says has had time to play-out. As such none of his comments have actually came true... yet anyway. So i'm not 100% sure that we can believe he's seen the Summer sets until some of the other stuff he's spoken about comes true. So far this; "chance of getting a tan/dark tan set" is just that, a chance. Granted its a high possibility because the Summer Sets are based on villains that reside in the same area as Pohatu (Skull Scorpions being a main factor in his set and animations, Ekimu originally being defeated in the same region, etc...) Though it seems more like a guess to me, that even if we recieve tan sets may not mean he is telling the truth. We need a more concrete statement that will either come and prove him right or wrong.

Based on the old Gen, Protectors (Essentially Turaga), would'nt become Toa they would have already been Toa. In this universe i doubt that they've had Toa before the arrival of the Toa Mata, but seeing as they are being given focus and have yet to recieve names i would'nt doubt that we'd see upgraded versions with names in the future. I can see the Toa sticking around, but the Protectors in my theory would become like a secondary group of Toa given that Okoto is much larger. The Toa Mata essentially being here to introduce us to the new Generation and then have the Protectors be the main Toa that stick throughout the later years. I just doubt we'll see another upgraded version of the Toa Mata in 2016 as they are more a staple of Gen 1 and having them dominate Gen 2 would reduce the potential for new ideas. Yeah, i can see the appeal. I'm mostly talking from a toy standpoint though, having the Protectors become Toa would mean we could get upgraded masks with the multi-colour situation we currently have. I would'nt be suprised if the Protectors are a test in terms of that for mask design, seeing whether fans would buy the same mask over and over if it was a different blend of colours, the dual colours may also be testing the future so we could see 2015 Summer sets with multiple colours.

Going off this sort of ideology, i would'nt be suprised if the Protectors gain names and become the 2016 or 2017 Toa

Most likely the one with rotors as they'll have had more time to work on that design -
Just use this piece to give him a longer neck slightly. Should therefore allow for more head movement and mean you could probably leave the Gearbox where it is, allowing for high shoulders and increased head movement. Gives him a neck also that he lacks otherwise;
