  1. Not sure why it'd be included in a bunch of 2015 release torso's... but shall take your word on it then
  2. Yeah, appears to be a weeping angel torso... given the crack on the clothes and colour. Guess Doctor Who will get Lego sets probably in Winter.
  3. Given it some time for the original hype of the images to settle and allow my own thoughts on the images to become clear. Skull Warrior; Seems fairly basic, a generic figure with no real additions or trying anything too new. The gear function allows for one arm to move while the other stays attached. He has one very boney arm which works, but the new 'cloth' piece (Using the term very loosely) doesnt really work well as shoulder armour. The bow is nice, but ruins the point of having a gear function arm. The asymetrical nature of the set is a little jarring, though all in all an 'alright set'. The chest armour looks alright though as with Basher, Slicer and Grinder, the random chain pieces DO NOT WORK. You can not have every other part of the set devoid of chains and then include a chain print on their chest plate. Skull Slicer; Slicer is currently in position for my least favourite humanoid set, with four exposed ball joints that stand out even more when put next to the new bone pieces. We should really have gotten trans bone pieces instead in order to avoid the balljoint issue. The gear functioned arms look alright, though its incredibly disappointing that instead of using three of the small gears they used two old technic gears, kind of a cop-out to be honest. The chest print is odd also, a rather weird 'grinding' machine above his nipple. Skull Basher; In my opinion the best of the cheap sets, while he lacks a gearbox he likely has an alternative function. Though he shares the exact same head piece as Scorpio, the large and likely-to-wobble-and-knock-off-mask horns do help vary it very slightly. The horns are indeed my main issue with the set, given they seem too far away from the mask to be attached. The mask is also way too smooth and non-beast-like for a character named Skull Basher. The rest of the body looks alright, save the upper legs being the new bone pieces, which gives him really odd proportions when it gets to the knee's, ruined by those armour pieces. The trans-orange breaks the colour scheme also sadly. Skull Scorpio; This set is growing on me i must admit, though i feel thats more me trying to think of why its as much as a mess as it is rather than getting annoyed by how bad the design is. I can understand why the legs lack any articulation and the tail has an over-complicated 'stinging' and 'gripping' function, it just doesnt suite this set. I dont mind the leg articulation, as to be honest LoSS didnt have much articulation either and its a better set when the legs are fixed in place. The issue is this set was designed with a biological design in mind, hence most the body covered in the organic looking armour piece, thats why the back end of this set doesnt work. Remove the back end and this set is 'ok' but it looks so thin. I get the idea they are experimenting with combining technic with CCBS and i do agree that animals are the way to go with that, but this isnt good enough for this set. Mask Maker Vs Skull Grinder; Lets start with the obvious, the mask has issues. I dont understand what they did here or why these two colours have run so much but rather than blue and gold it has a green'ish tinge to it. I'm hoping they fix this by the time the set is released, but at the moment its unfortunate. Not a fan of the saw blade as that just seems to be here to take up parts. The Hammer is a nice addition and the trans-blue shooter will be good for some Ice MOC's. The Mask of Creation on the other hand is small and while i pray it has the details inscribed on the spikes, it is unfortunately rather basic. I had hoped it would stand-out, instead its just kind of there. In all he's just a recolored fire protector with a gearbox slapped on, but thats what i expected. Skull Grinder is unfortunately a weak set, the upper legs suffer from the same issue as basher where the legs bulk-out at the knee and suddenly transition to bone. He has exposedd balljoints on the stomach. The upper body isnt as complex as i had hoped and the head is disappointingly the same head mould as Warrior, personally i dont enjoy having the 'main villain' of the year share a mask if the mask isnt altered in any way. The new colour helps, but the mask is also so generic that it looks almost identical to the other Skull Villains (Other than Slicer) Final thoughts; I'm going to be getting the sets regardless, but in terms of a scale system from worst to best Skull Slicer -> Skull Scorpio -> Skull Warrior -> Skull Basher -> Mask Maker Vs Skull Grinder If it wasnt for the MoC then Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder would be second favourite... - The printed chest piece is a good addition, can imagine someone trying to collec them. - New trans chest armour is nice however they are barely used effectively other than Scorpio, who puts it to nice use as back armour. I would'nt be suprised if the armour was designed for Scorpio in that respect. - The new 'cloth?' piece sucks to be honest, it sticks out from the base armour so much that it makes it virtually useless and gappy when used as shoulder armour In all this line suffers the most from a lack of trying with any of the humanoid builds, while Scorpio is a weak set it atleast attempts something while Grinder, Basher, Slicer and Warrior all stick to the basic body build, a CCBS body piece with a function slapped on the back. I understand that titan sets are now less complex, but i hope we end up getting better titans in the future than Skull Grinder. I'm praying its because he has Ekimu that he is such a basic build, but i doubt it.
  4. They share the same mask from what we can see, just in different colours. Though i admit it does look from the angle that Warrior might be missing a piece of that mask for some odd reason
  5. Mask Maker; http://i.imgur.com/OMXXmjX.png http://i.imgur.com/uAnUiti.png Skull Grinder; http://i.imgur.com/QNrvJaY.png http://i.imgur.com/r75h9lv.png Skull Basher; http://i.imgur.com/G4wpI0d.png http://i.imgur.com/UuK6TPf.png Skull Slicer; http://i.imgur.com/sAX00TG.png http://i.imgur.com/WmLDPGL.png Skull Scorpio; http://i.imgur.com/hRXef8x.png http://i.imgur.com/OZuQi04.png Skull Warrior; http://i.imgur.com/6VrSMb7.png Boxes; http://i.imgur.com/vuleLdz.png http://i.imgur.com/UiDI2ix.png (Decided to make images of them in the gallery for ease of use)
  6. Coulson is the only main shield agent in Ultimate Spider Man (TV Series) as such its likely him.
  7. Indeed, apparently the game will cover the movie storylines of Avengers and Age of Ultron. AND MORE!
  8. Pros; - Looks fairly accurate - Control room - Nick Fury, Maria Hill exclusive figures - Functions. The turning rotors are a nice addition that i didnt believe would be included Cons; - All the small vehicles. While one mini-quinjet might have been nice the rest of the small vehicles serve to add pieces and make the Helicarrier look cluttered. - Hawkeye and Black Widow. Neither of these are my favourite figures and both Age Of Ultron based - Microfigures. While i understand its in Microfigure scale, would have preferred an extra exclusive figure such as Agent Coulson or Bruce Banner rather than 12 microfigures - Lack of Motor's + Light. The designer video talks about the possibility of adding them, yet they are not included. I feel they should have included them to justify the price - Rotor's. Seem based on The Winter Soldier while the rest of the ship is based on Avengers (2012) - Studs. The ship is covered with them, which is odd when the rest of the runaway is so smooth. Overall; A good set, but i cannot say that i am not disappointed in how it turned out. For the price i was expecting more exclusive figures rather than Microfigures. While the ship is nice it depends on whether i could get it on a Double VIP points day in order to knock some heat off the price.
  9. http://www.thebrickf...ially-revealed/ Most people dont collect the microfigures given their recent introduction. While a few Microfigures are a nice addition to the set i feel the addition of the microfigures and mini-builds is unfortunate.
  10. This was announced a while back, that the Ant-Man set would include both a normal sized and a micro figure version of the character >< Thats what everyone will do, but i suppose the main annoyance for people is the figures and the price, everyone had hoped for more exclusives to help justify the high price. Everyone wants Bruce Banner and Agent Coulson, nobody really desired Hawkeye considering he gets a cheap AoU set.
  11. Best chance of that at the moment would be the back of the box art, though at the moment we've only seen the front in prelims. No problem, hopefully i can find more soon
  12. Added them to the Gallery btw
  13. Thoughts. Figures; The main figures are nice. Good way to get Hawkeye and Black Widow in one set, MCU Version of Nick Fury is cool. Would have preferred Agent Coulson to Maria Hill. Not a fan of the excessive amount of micro figures. Build; The amount of mini vehicles seems unnecessary. Three quinjets, three smaller quinjets and three random vehicles. The Helicarrier itself appears to be a merge between the 2012 and 2014 versions, noticeable from the jets rather than blades. Overall; Probably going to be a purchase though when depends entirely on how cheaply i can get it... for 2,996 pieces i dont think its worth it for $349.99.
  14. According to 'TheBrickFan' we'll get the official designer video in a few hours...
  15. Have to second everyone else... at the moment that is not a $350 set... Hopefully official pics help, most likely going to wait till the double VIP points in March, get it then. Disappointed by the microfigures and overall excessive amount of mini-quinjets to up the price.
  16. Well... not exactly... we have Ninjago covered We'll be getting Summer Bionicle, Chima, Technic, City, Ultra Agents, and Minecraft coverages also eventually. Yeah, at the current time we dont have any other Toy Fair Lego related pics other than this gallery of images that i've been collecting
  17. Is it so wrong that some people dislike the sets that people believe that they are going to warm up to the sets? ¬_¬ Anyway, we should be getting a video coverage of Bionicle along with the other sets soon (ish) so i shall post them when they are available.
  18. From what it seems the main sources appear to be reporter's, so it could be a case where only they are allowed to record/photograph. Rest assured if/when some is uploaded i shall find it :P
  19. There are a ton of much worse sets than the Av-Toran. At the least the Av-Toran have the excuse of being prototypes for the Matoran so it makes sense in the story that they are less complex. The Agori however do not and recycle the build from several Av-Toran I do see a lot more criticism than praise at the moment. Their are a few jumping on the bandwagon of saying the sets are perfect at this stage, but i feel those people tend not to stick to their views. The so-called warm-up is more a few random people changing their mind, which happens when people realise that they wont get better sets this year and settle to the idea of getting these. I think its less that people are seeing the sets and thinking they are good sets or that the official images are in anyway an improvement over the prelims - and more that they've accepted what they are getting because their is no way to change it, so in their mind, why register a complaint.
  20. Speaking of which the Lego Booth is occuring as we speak so i'll be posting images to here. If we get any Marvel, will let you know :3
  21. Starting to see a few new images pop-up, mostly City sets that what we've already seen, just this time from varying angles. Either way added them to the gallery. Expect to see new image fairly soon No offence, but are you two looking at a different set of messages to me? :L
  22. True, but its just odd to me that the only one without even a remotely transparent mask is Gali...
  23. Thoughts; Skull Warrior looks basic, not a fan of the asymetrical design or the overly large bow that is bigger than his body. Skull Slicer looks bad... really bad. The arms are too long and too thin and he's got barely any armour pieces. Heck, his mask is the Skull Spider mask again. Skull Scorpio looks bad, not worse than Skull Slicer, but the back end just destroys this set. The mask is also really odly shaped and the lack of Tan makes this set generic. Skull Basher looks good from what i can see, probably the best of the cheaper sets. Need to see him from the front though and get a good look at the mask. Mask Maker Vs Skull Slicer looks way too basic for a titan set. I suppose the inclusion of the rather odly proportioned Ekimu helps, however it doesnt look good when the bad guy is so bare. I Need to see better images, but this just looks 'meh' As for the masks, i'm not a fan of them. They dont look nice and the 'half gold' masks look odd. I would like dual colored masks in the future, but this seems like a bad move. Especially seeing as Gali doesnt get one.
  24. No problem it serves mostly as an image gallery for 'all the things' so none of the images are directly from me, but glad i could be of some help :3 If i find any then i'll add them to the gallery :) I got the group shot from here though, so keeping an eye on him might be advised :P https://twitter.com/Zusammengebaut We get a Kopaka mask with Skull Warrior, a Lewa mask with Skull Slicer, a Pohatu mask with Skull Scorpio and a Onua mask with Skull Basher. Tahu gets a transparent mask as a gift with purchase (you can read about it on prior pages). Gali is the only member lacking a third mask variant.
