Yeah, the issue with the Jumper's is also that it hasnt been fixed, so if anyone uses it it'll just break their figure... -

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Eh, Iron Man would be preferable, he's had different variants and he's got an updated AoU form. These Spider-man figures have been flooding the market so much i'm pretty sure every Spider-man fan has them, even if they dont remember buying it. I have like 5 of him already. -
Yeah, pretty sure the masks only serve as a power-up. That combined with the fact it was 6 Vs 1, their combined strength overwhelmed him. Though, i would'nt be too suprised if either LoSS was just designed to gaurd the city against singular foes or is simply a random large spider that happened to make a nest their. Either way, LoSS's strength comes from over-whelming the enemy with his size or his army of Skull Spiders. Neither were here to help him when he fought the Toa.

In the UK all the sets went on Amazon other than the raid on Hydra fortress, though only noticed them now and they are marked as 'out of stock' Yeah, looking at the interior its slightly better than i thought, i suppose. Really needs an extra two layers and a lot more room on the floors. I suppose you'd probably need about 7-8 sets combined to get close to the scale where you can fit all the Avengers in one room. -
You really underestimate just how many items Lego actually sells and what it sells for. To put it in perspective, buying one of the first Lego Minecraft sets, the Village would earn the Ideas Member 1% which is around $0.3499. Granted that does not seem much at the time, however then you factor in just how many Minecraft sets are brought. I dont have exact figures, and they are likely much higher than the source i am using (Brickset) however this is just an example. The real amount the owner earns will be much larger; Sales; The Village - 1465 The Nether - 1379 The End - 790 Total sold; 3634 Cost of each; $34.99 Total price of all sold; $127,153.66 1% of Total price; $1,271.5366 From this example alone the person who simply suggested the idea of Lego Minecraft earns about $1,272. However, as mentioned, these are much smaller figures and not the actual amount of sets sold. This example was only with 3 of the current 9 sets in the Lego Minecraft range. ---- Regardless, if they are not even using the design suggested by the Ideas member, then they are literally only paying them for saying 'do Doctor Who' Its less a testiment and more that Ten was is the most popular Doctor in recent years and 11 was the most recent Doctor that most the new fans enjoy. Chances are when we get to the 13th Doctor (14th true incarnation) that we will get a comic with the 13th, 12th and 10th Doctor.

Its more likely a clear trans-orange head, similar to those the Iron Legion drones have. -

Not a fan of Ultron Mk 1, doesnt look enough like what we've seen. The trans head doesnt look good and while its covered in detail, little of the detail matches the Mk1 version we have seen. Think i'll probably pass on that set for a while, maybe get it later in the year. Normal Ultron Prime looks odd, specifically the chin which sticks out, on the helmetted version it looks a bit better, but the eyes look odd. Will probably fix this by getting a few trans-blue head pieces to use (Hopefully a trans-red clear head piece comes out soon) Plan at the moment is to get a couple of the drone sets for army building, but other than Ultimate Ultron, i'm not really a fan of the rest of the Ultron designs as a whole. Three of the five variants appear to have virtually the same design, Ultimate Ultron is the only one that stands out as being a good representation of the film and thats unfortunately in the most expensive set. Edit; Turns out we are getting a trans-head piece that i can use, so might be picking up Avengers Tower after all; -

With the UK its the 19th, cant speak for the US, so you may be right about the 17th. -
It isnt really 'souls' that you seem to desire... just proper characters and character development, which can occur without having to specify whether they have souls. Hero Factory for example despite its flaws did give some of the characters personallities and character development, even though they were robots, though i do admit it was fairly basic.

My mistake, got a few things wrong in that; The release of the set is on the 19th of February to the 28th for VIP's. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Most likely, after all we'll get the GoTG and the Avengers, along with any other characters they include. It would probably have to be a wave of sets as the Big-Fig's tend to only be one per set... Its not a delay. That is the official release of the set on the 17th of February to the 29th (not the 19th) for VIP's. Then it becomes available for all at the start of March. Though honestly with double VIP points in March, their is no point rushing it. From what i understand Spider-man is shared between Sony and Marvel, while Marvel are trying to get the rights back to Spider-man fairly via doing deals, Sony continue to be making films which keeps them owning the rights. Sony get to make films while Marvel get to make comics. They both get to make toys but profits are split i believe. With Fox however, Marvel is taking a different approach, trying to dry up the fanbase support that they provide. As such Marvel is currently on a sort of 'war' to get the rights back to a Fantastic Four film before Infinity War part 2. They recently stopped doing Fantastic Four comics, so we will likely not get a Fantastic Four Marvel comic or series. While Marvel have the rights to Fantastic Four toys, once again the profits are split between the two companies. As such i doubt we'll get Lego Fantastic Four sets until after Marvel wins the 'war' and get all the rights back for Fantastic Four. -
The idea that the Protectors have an age cycle kind of hints towards them being more biological this time around, though i doubt we will get something as straight-out as 'they have sex'. In most cartoons where they have reproduction they introduce parental figures and that kind of explains the situation without explaining the situation. - Ninjago, Castle, Space, etc... are all set around humanoid enough character in a humanoid enough world to the point which implies that they reproduce sexually - Chima is filled with humanised characterisations of animals and introduces parental figures and has male and females of both species aswell as a romance between individual members implying that they can reproduce sexually - Bionicle Gen 1 stomped on romance after a while and tended to avoid having parental figures, as such using the formula they would'nt reproduce sexually, as confirmed by Greg recently as he mentioned the Turaga build Matoron (Matoran become Toa, Toa become Turaga) - Bionicle Gen 2 has parental figures and growth, two factors that imply they are more biological that the Gen 1 Bionicle's. In addition it has the line 'passed down from father to son' which seems to imply that they do have reproductions. In general the closer a character is to being human, the more likely they reproduce sexually (Obviously Lego can turn around and say that they reproduce via a different method, but given what they've established at the moment its more likely they reproduce sexually)

Not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that the Gen 2 Skull Spiders and Summer villains appear to have had most (If not all) of their organic parts degrade over time leaving only their skeletons/bone. So i suppose that implies that they are still Bionic and Organic, maybe with some 'magic' thrown in. The fact that Gali and Pohatu's animation's of them with the golden masks dont include their protectors bugs me... In addition, disappointed that they never had individual battles with LoSS which was hinted at in the character animations.

Makes sense if we get a X-Men set it'll probably be something akin to 76028 Darkseid Invasion where we get a big fig Apocalypse, the X-Jet and a couple of the main cast. I can easily see them giving us a comic based Darkseid in 2015, A movie or comic based Apocalypse in 2016, a movie based Darkseid variant in 2017 and 2019 and a movie variation of Thanos in 2018 and 2019 -
Do you mind flipping the bag over and checking for any dates. If the packaging was made in 2015 then the 'preliminary mask' might not be as preliminary as we thought... Also, pics of trans-mask to satisfy us all until our own arrive? :P

Point 1; True, but if its a Lego Ideas (Unless its like Minecraft) then we'll get one set and then its done. That might change if they made a wave instead, but that still relies on whenever a new Doctor or companion appears that we'd get them in set form. Point 2; True, i suppose its more a complaint against Idea's for licensed themes as a whole Point 3; Several of those dont have the same iconic value anymore, sure Trotters Lane and Coal Hill were important in the original series, but in the revived series Trotters Lane has appeared once and Coal Hill Secondary school is just where Clara works for a while in series 8. While the Tardis option is possible, the Dalek Spaceship has been through atleast 3 different designs recently interior and exterior wise (all being fairly generic flying saucers) Point 4; Several of those listed are new series only, thus is the issue. If we get new series stuff then everyone will expect every future villain to get a set, which isnt likely. Its more likely they'll just pick the more iconic that have appeared in both old and revived; The Master, Ice Warriors, Silurians, Cybermen, Cyber Controller, Davros, Zygons, Autons, Macra and Daleks

My issues with Doctor Who Lego are the following; - The show is still going and introducing new characters/incarnations of the Doctor constantly, the sets will be outdated very quickly - This is a licensed theme, so not sure why a Lego Ideas member gets a share of the profits for simply suggesting that they do Doctor Who sets. - Their are a limited number of sets that could be based on Doctor Who other than the Tardis - Their are a limited number of recogniseable villains that would appeal to both older and new fans, other than the Daleks and Cybermen Best option to make it work would be a 'Collectable Minifigure Series' similar to the Simpsons. You have the 13 incarnations of the Doctor in one wave, the next wave you include 13 villains, then companions, etc... Either way, will only be picking up some of the figures if anything.

The UCS Helicarrier is NOT connected to the Ideas X-Mansion in any way. Even if it was, the Helicarrier was more realisticly likely to be made because they kept trimming down the size when they released that Lego were not going to make a massive set. The X-Mansion, was NEVER going to be made. Same situation with the Wayne Manor. The piece count alone for the X-Mansion is probably in the region of 7000+ pieces and it includes over 40 figures, many exclusive, which would make it worth more than the Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon, putting the price around $999.99 AT MINIMUM. Despite Lego not officially stating it... we will NEVER get a UCS Ideas set, closest we might get to a UCS Ideas set is a modular set for a non-licensed theme. -

The blades will be the biggest issue in trying to get the surface to appear slightly minifig-ified, given that enlarging the deck will be easier than enlarging the rotors. -
Drawn concept tends to come before this sort of computer generated image, so what confuses me is how we have a bunch of concept art of the Mask Of Creation yet none of it looks remotely similar to this mask which was apparently close enough to being finalised that it was featured on a display piece that included fairly finalised set designs. True, a stand-in makes more sense. Though if its just a stand-in then once again i'm confused about why we have it on the bag now. If it was only ever intended as something to be a place holder for a finalised mask, then why is it here on a bag? I suppose it could be accidental, or maybe they made the bags ages ago and never intended to use them, but its still very odd. --- Given the design is so finalised on this prelim/stand-in mask, i honestly would'nt be suprised if they did use this mask as a design in the future.

The more i look at it the less it looks like a prototype and more a finalised design, i mean it has details and symbols and a design that doesnt match any of the early MoCr concept art. Something feels off about it. Thanks for the images, any chance of a look at the back of the packaging?
