This is far from finished but I really wanted to get away from the solid block build, but might have to build the top of the helmet solid. I really wanted the helmet hollow like the real thing so I wanted to build in a different style. Im not sure if I would have enough white flat plates to cover it. I still have a few ideas up my sleeve though.

Review: 9465 The Zombies
wokajablocka replied to The Penguin's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the detailed review Penguin. I had to laugh when I saw how many parts are left over. Every time I finish building something it seems you only get one spare part in a different element. When your left with multiple of the same elements it makes you wonder if there is something you missed in the build. Some times you will get the same element left over from different bags so this is where you get the same left over elements. Ill probably miss getting this set but the Zombie bride and groom are just lovely and I'm sure they will come to good use for MOC's. -
Again nice ones Dapper . I was a bit confused from the fist pic, I though what a short astromech then noticed that he was wading through the water. I'm sure it the Imperials rolled out a tone of these astromechs they could have changed the tide on the take over of the empire. They sure can pack a punch and if they where half as intelligent as R2-D2 they would have been unstoppable .

Hi Guys, Here is my latest update on the Clone helmet, pretty much finished now. I finished of the top of the head trying to keep as many studs as possible. I will come back to this and maybe do some colour variations but I want to add the special attachments like electrobinoculars, sun visor, flash light and range finder. For now I need to concentrate on getting my SW CB going. When I get time I want to do a 360 spin around .gif Here is an updated 360 view of the current version. I need to widen and work more on the top of the head more but its taking shape and close to completion. Here is a little progress of the build and how MOC has come along. If this build is successful I would like to make more helmets at this scale. I really need to scale down my builds as I really don't have enough parts for large MOC's. As always the smaller you build the less parts you need but the more creativity you need to be in making your MOC's. I could get much better organic curved shapes building say a scale 1:1 helmet but I would run out of parts trying to make it. I will get more pics up as the build comes along. Keep an eye out for updates. C & C welcome.

Nice one Bob. This is the first time I have seen Darth's chamber/pod made in Lego and you have created the scene well. You have done a great job to make the top and bottom sections interlock even tough you have commented that it dose show a little white when closed. Is a shame you didn't upload a pic of it closed.

Build your own Pirate LEGO Animal Battle Pack - Survey
wokajablocka replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Here is my pick: SeaGull Capuchin Turtle Parrot Saw Fish 5 animals is a good lot to get in a animal pack. I chose 3 new animals I would love to see and 2 original animals. I chose the original parrot because its a classic pirate companion and the saw fish as its a cool animal and rather rare and hard to get. -

Item purchased from eBay - am I being unreasonable?
wokajablocka replied to cunningfox99's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is a shame and happened to me as well. I bought a Jabba's Sail Barge off eBay and paid just over $200 AU for it when it said it was complete but when I came to build it I found around 20 parts missing or replaced. The Luke Minifig was wrong and had yellow head, one yellow hand and one black hand and should have been flesh coloured head and both hands. I was almost finished the build and up to the turret just at the end and then my Dad called and said he was going to pop over my house so I rushed and to pack up and clean the house and I ended up loosing the turret I was building (I think it was in my hand rushing around cleaning and I might have thrown it in the bin with other rubbish ). I wanted to make a claim but couldn't be bothered but really the item was not as described. It would have cost me at least $30 - $40 to replace parts + shipping so I never bothered. Since I have bought a lot of bulk Lego and found the parts to replace everything except for the Luke Minifig . -
WOW, your station is amazingly accurate. You have built some beautiful curves in to those buildings. The whole build look so neat and I would love to see this in person.

I've been looking at your mass production of SW universe vehicles lately and this is one of your best so far. The new colour scheme is better IMO and I like the storage/quarters in the ship, nice touch. LDD is a good way to quickly punch out MOC's, keep them coming. Are you going to build any of your MOC's in actual LEGO?

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
wokajablocka replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That PT and OT display is very deceptive with the mirrored back. I make you collection look twice as large. I was trying to see if you had another AT-AT behind in the Hoth display but I noticed it was the refection. A good way to instantly increase your collecting x 2 . Nice collection BTW. -
Nice detailed review as always Oky, thanks. If I could get this set for $30 id probably buy it but living in Australia I'm sure the RRP is over $50 and not worth it for me. I still love the new Spider man though, shame he doesn't have arm prints to give him red around his wrists.

O-yeah, I would love a dedicated LEGO room. My collection takes more time to pull out and set up to build than I actually building I think. I need a bigger house. This room is very well organised and If I had a room this this I would be building way more often. Currently it puts me off building because it takes too long to organise my building area and if you get into a building mood and work on large MOC's you need to be able to come back to them and work between life, cleaning, cooking etc. I would love to just sit down for 20-30 mins while waiting for dinner to cook in the oven and them come back to it after dinner and continue. At the moment it takes 20-30mins to set my area up them the misses will say I want the living room clean so I cant keep it out for long. It just seem like too much stuffing around to quickly build sometimes. Usually I need to wait until a slow rainy weekend where I can get every thing out for a few days so I can work on MOC's.

I dose Tick me of when people say Legos. I have always called them Lego LEGO. I need to now remember to spell it in all capitals.

Amazon already sold out on Batman Visual Guide?
wokajablocka replied to Faefrost's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
If its anything like the Star Wars visual dictionary surly they will come back into stock by the thousands. Just recently I have seen the first SW VD with Luke again on the shelf at my local shops here in Australia along side the Character dictionary with the ceremonial Han. You will unfortunately have to be patient. -
New Dino Theme Idea
wokajablocka replied to Lieutenant_Colonel_Fifi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
After I saw the CMF caveman I though the a prehistoric theme would be great. As being set in the prehistoric age we could get a lot of foliage like trees and bushes bushes, a cave for the home, fires, spears, dino traps and steer away from vehicles and buildings. We could see different eras in this theme like ice age with sabre tooth tigers and woolly mammoths. We could bring back moulded base plates or even flat plates with river prints etc. -
Thanks for the review starstreak. I was excited when I heard this was coming out as its an awesome flag ship but was disappointed once I saw the final pics of it. Pademe is the only exclusive fig and is a rather high price to justify buying it just for her. Dooku and Grievous are really good minifigs but they are not exclusive to the set. Over all the set dose not do much for me and if I don't have the spear cash laying around I actually think I wont be getting this one, but I have sad that before. I did Bricklink the parts for the malevolence from the search for R2 online game found here on flickr by our old friend KimT. I would like to see an comparison of the two if anyone owns them both.

O that is horrible . It makes it harder when I have an 11 year old son that cant keep his hands of my sorted bricks. I spend hours sorting parts and he will get a whole bag of sorted elements (like antennas)and tip them out and stick them over his creations and when it comes to find the bag of sorted antennas they are not there . Cant wait to see more pics .

Thanks for the detailed review Rufus. I quite like this set and one of the first large Star Wars sets I bought after my dark ages around 2007. Its an upgrade from the first set TLG brought out 4482. The best feature of this set was the carry handle that can be easily picked up and moved easily, nice one Lego that they have repeated quite a few times now with the bigger Star Wars vehicles. With this carry handle it can be connected and carried by the 10195 Republic Dropship just like the AT-OT that comes with the set. You just need to position the AT-TE backwards as the turret cannon get in the way of the Dropship if you don't (tried to Google an image but couldn't find one). The 10195 is one of my favourite sets for this play feature, its just so awesome to pick up and drop of your large walkers into battle just like the movies.

'Stolen' LDD MOCs in the LEGO.com Star Wars Creations Page
wokajablocka replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is a shame . I'm glad to see that it has been fixed up. My work is not to the same quality as the stolen MOC's but I will need to look at making watermarks on my pictures from now on, this is the best way to protect your work. As a former graphic artist its still not hard to clone out the watermarks though, so it not full proof but I'm sure it will deter a lot of theft. -
Nice one, always amazes me when people make transforming Lego. Although is not a copied off any transformer in particular it has a very 80's transformer cartoon feel about him and your animated gif is just the icing on the cake for this build.
-
I always amazes me how large collectors sort, keep and build their creations. I struggle with my 3 bedroom house finding space to even store my rather small (compared to some collectors/builders) collection of bricks. It usually takes me 1/2 an hour to just set up a space in the living room and take my collection out and start building. It seems most of my time is spent organising space to store and build as well as sorting parts than actually building Lego. I really need a dedicated Lego room so I can organise my stuff. I would have loved to see more pics of the storage and the room as a whole, nice insight though.

 , cant afford it so what else can I say?

Nice one, I mean nice 3 man . Cool to see you still working on these designs and making evident changes every time. IMO the back one is the best , and the pic of him taking flight looks awesome with the smoke affect. Well done mate .

Darth Vader/TIE Advanced Transformer (Micro-Mood Scale)
wokajablocka replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A round of applause for you Mood, coming up with another original idea/scale for builds. Can wait to see what other little transformers you come up with.
