  1. Nice ideas! Malazan and Game of Thrones are both great books (and TV shows in GoT's case) with very interesting styles. If these were somehow incorporated into a castle line than my wallet would be empty! I'd like to have sets like that because they are similar to previous Castle waves but are able to differentiate themselves clearly.
  2. My grandmother (a quite religious person) enjoyed this moc, as did I. Very nice job!
  3. Ah, if this happened it would be so nice! Great work on the project.
  4. I am quite happy about hearing about the conflict-free licensing for LotR. Not sure if I think more LotR/Hobbit is coming but if it does I'd be quite happy.
  5. I actually have NOT gotten the Helm's Deep yet for some odd reason but I'm going to pick up that alongside two Uruk Hai armies.
  6. You could probably work with something like this. Take a look at the outer ring from the Helm's Deep set, you could draw inspiration from that. It's all what works best for you!
  7. This is my suggestion for getting Helm's Deep. I am too going to get it and I found several stores on Amazon selling it for around $180 which is still a lot but I think it's better than other offers. As for the fortress you could also use several black and grey pieces. You could modify the Black Gate to fit your structure, too!
  8. Oh, I just noticed the Uruk Hai helms used to make the Lannister soldiers. Nice, touch. Really captures there armor.
  9. I would be a little disappointed if a CoH movie was made, to be honest. If it happens, well it happens, but I think it's better not to be on film. Just my opinion, though.
  10. Very true, Deathleech. But, I enjoy building MOCs from books because you can kind of let your imagination run wild with it. I also think CoH is just overshadowed by Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion.
  11. Yeah, it's just wishful thinking. I could see some cool visions of scenes from the book like Morgoth's fortress, Hurin's throne, and Turin facing the dragon being great Lego builds, but I highly doubt it would happen. I'm working on a small little MOC of Melkor sentencing Hurin to his throne because I haven't seen one yet.
  12. Though this has a 1 in 1 billion chance of happening imagine a line of Lego Children of Hurin.
  13. Nice set, it really captures the feeling of a larger Uruk Hai Army. I don't understand why TLG didn't make a Gondor vs Mordor army builder with one or so main characters. Great job!
  14. Nice little build and a great pier. It really captures the feeling of reading The Silmarillion again for me. I defiantly could see this being a small lego set that I would pick up.
  15. Nice build, really captures a Silmarillion-esque feel.
  16. I'm liking the fact you changed Frodo's face to look more worn, like he hasn't slept comfortably in a long while. I don't know what TLG was thinking not making this set, but you aced it. Nice build, great use of pieces and just a set most LotR fans desire.
  17. Nice build, I like how you reused the Eye of Sauron, The Rohan shield, and the "Castle" Theme armor. It's a nice, solid build while still maintaining the required size.
  18. Yes! This is the perfect formula for a Lord of the Rings set. It captures an iconic moment from the films, it includes some nice characters (Orc Elite and Faramir) and it is a great army builder, 3 "good" guys and 3 "bad" guys. This seriously could fool me into thinking it's an actual, licensed set if I didn't read the title. Outstanding.
  19. I spy with my little eye the Eye of Sauron. Nice build overall, that combined with this being a quite powerful scene in the book makes me appreciate this set so much. The way the stonewalls looks smooth in some places but rugged in others is a really nice touch!
  20. Oops, yeah I just really was itching to write about it. I will remember to do that in the future. I also apologize if I hyped up anybody...
  21. Hello everybody! I've had something on my mind for a while now and I want to hear your opinions. Since the Lego Middle Earth themes are most likely ending soon, we know we're going to get a new line of Castle sets. So my question is, how many of you would like to see the return of Lego Vikings? I think this would be something different since we haven't gotten a theme like this for a while and, if I'm correct, the Viking sets sold pretty well. Besides, most of the sets had a cool formula to them; structure/weapon of some sort, viking(s), brick-built monster to fight. So, do you guys think this theme will make a comeback? And if it does would you be willing to check it out?
  22. Nice build! It looks like King's Landing while still having a Lego-style build, nicely done!
  23. Nice build man! Everything about it is great, not really much else to say
  24. Hm. I'm not the best at making mocs but I might give this a shot.
