  1. Nice drone. I like the use of the old diving apparatus. Thanks for the information about seaborne drones.
  2. Thanks. It was fun to try and do a retro crew.
  3. Great crew. I see them as the recyclers of the derelict ships living on the fringes of the known system. Cool!
  4. Wicked build. The wolf's jaw at the front is awesome.
  5. This of course depends on people actually making the set. I and a few others I know aren't buying sets to build them. We buy them are parts packs for MOCs. We might be in the minority, but there are a few of us out there. Otherwise, I will agree there are more plates than bricks in most sets. We have high parts count sets, but little substance size wise. Still, if you want to be creative with LEGO, then the option is still there.
  6. The Roswell Rejects Back in 1947, Aliens roamed Earth's skies unhindered until one crashed at Roswell, New Mexico. One of the captured aliens managed to escape captivity during the mid 1950's. With help from various Earthlings and a government robotics experiment, they managed to repair the ship and depart Earth. After centuries in cryo-stasis due to an experiment gone wrong, they've been thawed out and are exploring the galaxy. Their ship is primarily dark grey with navy blue piping. Viewports are neon green. X-3BZ - experimental robot. Created from a mashup of Earth and alien technology. Super strong and has the computing power of a supercomputer. Primarily serves as an information store, computes navigation solutions, and enjoys cooking and cleaning in spare cycles. Happy to have the fleshies warmed up. Annabella Smythe - humanoid. During World War II, she worked in a factory and discovered her gift for mechanics. Brought to Area 51 to help rebuild the ship for the government. She may not understand the physics, but inately knows how to make advanced systems work. Works with the doctor at times. Fiery redhead with a temper. Captain Dennis Brickmast - humanoid. Test pilot, but turned down for the Mercury program. Flew F-86s for the United States Air Force. When offered the chance to fly a real spaceship, he jumped and never looked back. Loves zooming through dense asteroid fields. Ybhttiaa'ya - Grey skinned bipedal sentient creature. Leader of the Rejects. Master strategist and a fair wrench turner. Bad pilot, which explains why he crashed the UFO/spaceship in 1947. Likes the crew dynamic and their abilities to fill in where he lacks in skills. Dr. Hans von Rote - humanoid. Experimental physicist with the Manhattan Project. Sent to study the crashed UFO. His sanity has slipped with each new experiment. Thrilled to explore the galaxy with an unlimited project budget. He can integrate any new technology into the ship and enhance their capabilities with ease. Sergeant Joshua Blackwell - humanoid. Served as an Army Ranger guarding Area 51. Befriended Ybhttiaa'ya and helped him break out of captivity. Weapons expert. Gets a thrill out of making things go boom, whether from close range or with the ship's plasma cannon. Mr. Whiskers - feline. Annabella's long haired cat. Not so much a crew member, but a companion. Due to one of von Rote's experiments, is partially immune to the effects of gravity. Absolutely loves catnip and floating around the ship.
  7. Great diorama. Lots of fun homages to various horror themes. Well done.
  8. Pricing on Bricklink at times can be far below LEGO's cost to produce certain parts. Recently, I began working on a large MOC and needed a bunch of plates for filler. Lime green and orange aren't popular sellers and I was able to scoop up thousands of plates and curved plates for cheap. If LEGO demands a minimum price on BL, there are other sites out there when I can go as well.
  9. Amazing. The details are spot on. The frame on the flat car is solid and the intermodal containers are well detailed. Great work.
  10. Quite the terminus and train shed. I like the neo-classical architecture and the use of the new clock elements. My only concern is the solid train shed roof. If you look at European stations, the shed often has clear panels to allow light in. It makes for a much better atmosphere. That must have taken a few cups of hinges at the pick-a-brick wall to make.
  11. Quite the piece you've built. Very flowy and detailed for the hair and beard. The raised pupils in the eyes make them stand out.
  12. I don't have one of the backside. Never thought to take a picture from that perspective as it wasn't meant to be the focus.
  13. Cool concepts and plan for future posts. Drones have really come of age on the battlefield.
  14. Wicked design. Very compact and different.
  15. Great expansion of the house. It works well, but the back wall could use a few windows and/or architectural embellishments.
  16. Wicked twist on reality. Love all the details and the differences between the two wizard's environments.
  17. Solid scene. Enough details and structures to give the impression of the town and street without being overly large. Nicely done.
  18. Sad, the divisions cut by empires. Nice scene, small, yet full of details.
  19. Wicked! Just watch the tunnel clearances with that propeller.
  20. Not a fun place to try and eek out a living. Interesting collection of captives. Gungans and demigorgons aren't what I would have expected.
  21. Wonderful small scene. The shrine and flowers emanating from it are perfect.
  22. Solid outpost design. This is a good motte and bailey style fortification. Impressive amount of details inside the bailey, including a piano. Must be an interesting bard with that motley crew.
  23. Quite the build. The size and details are wonderful.
  24. Interesting work. Having the tentacles move is a great touch.
  25. Shai-hulud! Nice scale for the diorama and good work with making the sand dunes flow.
