  1. This is a wonderful Christmas themed train. So delectable and yet functional. Great work. I'd love to see the station it pulls into. And I hope there's not a wicked witch as the station master.
  2. Nice looking render of the ES44. The radiator section looks good.
  3. It's so cute. And since it carries minifigs, it would look perfect at a zoo or similar place.
  4. It's not the DeKalb seed logo, but upon checking, rather similar. It's actually based on the logo used in 7636 Combine Harvester.
  5. Good looking locomotive.
  6. Great work merging O and L gauge. The train looks great on the tracks and doesn't seem out of place with the rest. The strategic use of LEGO here and there adds to it, giving a nice layout the combines both while staying pleasing to the eyes. Only the slight increase in size and studs on the caboose give the LEGO away which is neat.
  7. Nice layout. I like the Brightline train. It looks sharp.
  8. In rail transport, the U.S. DOT-111 tank car, also known as the TC-111 in Canada, is a type of unpressurized general service tank car in common use in North America. Tank cars built to this specification must be circular in cross section, with elliptical, formed heads set convex outward. They have a minimum plate thickness of 7⁄16 inch (11.1 mm) and a maximum capacity of 34,500 US gallons (131,000 L; 28,700 imp gal). Tanks may be constructed from carbon steel, aluminum alloy, high alloy steel or nickel plate steel by fusion welding. The black car carries petroleum products and has a capacity of 30,110 US gallons (113,979 L; 25,071.8 imp gal), a tare weight of 65,000 pounds (29,500 kg) and a load limit of 198,000 pounds (89,800 kg). And the internals:
  9. Another great little piece of Great War history. Thanks for teaching us about this.
  10. Excellent MOC. Your dampflok is exquisitely detailed and the work that had to have gone into it is impressive. The collection of cars only serves to complete the package.
  11. Your vignette looks wonderful. It has good detail in both the caboose and the rest of the scene. Looks right for a relic that has been forgotten.
  12. The amount of detail in your MOC is incredible. You've explained it well and the locomotive looks great. Even the older version would turn heads, but now you've really raised the bar. Congrats on a fine bit of work.
  13. It's cute. They've got a lot of work ahead of them.
  14. Good looking locomotive and consist you've created.

Nice work with all three. The ALCO is something I hadn't read about and looks interesting. The Schnabel car works great in Technic.
  16. The M motor is sped up, but this reduces the torque. I haven't run the Hogwarts Express much, but when I ran a similar setup on another locomotive, the M motor ran all day with no problems.
  17. Here's some pics of the mechanical setup. I tried to keep it simple, yet with the motor over the drivers for enhanced traction.
  18. I use three of the 12 tooth bevel gears and a 20 tooth gear. The 20 tooth is attached to the M motor. Many seem to have modified it. For the coupling issue, I think the included version is easier for kids as they can rig that up with possible spare parts much easier than trying to get the real magnetic couplers. I did modify the rear of the tender and BR Mk I car to have the magnetic version though. But I got the extra couplers by making some passenger trains use Jacobs bogies.
  19. Like many others, I felt the latest release of the Hogwarts Express was lacking. In turn, I have stuffed an M motor in the boiler, radically altered the rods (based on the Emerald Night), put the PF receiver and battery box in the tender, and added doors to the carriage (Again, a la EM). The overall effect I think is much better visually and because I can run it at events now. I've included an internals picture so anybody wishing to see how it was done and get ideas is more than welcome to. The last one links to a video of the train in action. I can't remember how to link a Flickr video right...
  20. Another small, but well thought out Great War build. When do we get to see the full train running through the trenches?
  21. Great work. This is a topic rarely covered by any, never mind in LEGO. For the size, it fits beautifully.
  22. Good design work. The use of the engine internally is something mind blowing. Can't wait to see where you branch out to next.
  23. This is an excellent rendition of the classic TEE train set. As a builder of 7 wides, I believe this is the best MOC in the size I have seen. All the detail work is top notch and how you made it all fit is incredible.
  24. Awww. It's cute, it's LEGO, and it's trains. What more can we ask for? Great work on it.
