I received my lego order from last week including the Parisian Restaurant (My first modular ), a second seaside house (loved the first one so much that I intend to make it a modular) and the bike shop&cafe 3in1.

2015 CREATOR Houses Sets - Rumours and Discussion
EvilBlackSheep replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
I'm excited by the beach hut though. More surfboards for my surfshop, plus the nice dark blue slopes... -
Ooops i didn't get that it was that one you were talking about. Thanks for pointing it out, sorry for the stupid question. In any case, i'm excited by that haircut, I wanna use it for my own minifig :p
-
Speaking of hairpiece, the short hairpiece in the hot air balloon set is new?
-
I wasn't interested at all by this new line until i saw the leaked pics. Actually I can't care less bout the theme, yet I'm pretty excited by some parts, especially that green balcony fence piece!

2015 CREATOR Houses Sets - Rumours and Discussion
EvilBlackSheep replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
As much as i was excited when we first read about the name of this set, I can't really say i'm excited anymore with this leaked pic. My concerns seem to be the same than the majority here, it looks really small (I was expecting something in the range of the bike shop & cafe set) therefore hard to turn into a modular (even with 2 boxes of it). I'll still wait to see the final set before deciding if I get it or not but for now I'm tending to a no. -
Hello everyone, I've been looking for a particular MOC/MOD (not sure where it fits) that i saw the other day browsing somewhere online but can't seem to find anymore, I thought maybe someone here can help. The moc i've been looking for is a modified version of the dolphin cruiser but in different colors (i think there was dark blue and tan maybe, but i'm not sure) supposed to be less girly i assume. If anybody know what I'm referring to, can you please help me find it back? Thanks in advance :)

Wow what a great result! I love it :) I'm working on a Moc modular surfshop too, but now I don't think i can do even as good!
-
Do you have a precise idea of how much it costed you total ?
-
I'm pondering about starting that too since I wanna get into modulars and I was into my dark age when it started and missed those. I was wondering, is there any "easy"/automatic way to copy paste all the images in a google spreadsheet copying the list pieces from bricklink ? I've been trying to do that but the images don't copy I just get a *! in the first column instead. For those who have the images along in your spreadsheet, did you add them all manually one by one? Also on a more 'monetary' aspect, from what i got of those 25 pages, it's more interesting to bricklink/pab/b&p them all together than one after the other, right ? Edit: Also would it be worth the investment to buy directly a Petshop as a starting point for a blue grocery + CC ?

This is really great! I especially love the roof and the sidewalk, as well as the look of the lower door!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
EvilBlackSheep replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi, I already posted that question in another topic but Nom Carver nicely pointed me to this topic, so here I go again... I would have love to have Lego SW fans advice, is it worth it buying the latest version of the millenium falcon (7965) if I already have the old version of it from 2000 (7190)? And if yes (or no) why? I'm not just looking at the sake of having one of everything, but i'm seriously wondering how much better (or worse but i doubt it ) is the new one -
Thanks for your advice :) I'll go ask in the other topic to get more opinions but for sure I'm keeping yours in mind. I definitely have the first one (7190) so I'm gonna think about upgrading.

ROYAL screw up - can I recolor black Lego parts?
EvilBlackSheep replied to earl9371's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm far from an expert on the matter but I've recently done some research on how to clean my old legos and for all I've read, I'd say DO NOT boil them. I keep reading everywhere that the water in which you clean your brick should never be over 40°C or they may loose their shape/grip. I've seen people painting their bricks back but I'm not sure if the method is advisable or not, i'm sure better experts will stop by and help you. Good luck! -
This is amazing, I love the look of it. Nice color scheme! Is it modular and if yes, can we see what's inside both floors ? (I mean I know there is no interior, i'm just curious bout the space inside) I was really pondering about getting one or two ninjago sets (most likely hesitating between the temple of light and attack on ninjago city since they're the ones easily available) to make an asian themed building (most likely a restaurant) for my future modular city. Do you have any rec about the best sets to use for that ?

I'm late to the party but i just found this through your more recent post. I just wanted to say i think it's a great idea and realization! I'm especially fan of the clouds on the facade. Also i love the little story behind your building!

Oh wow! It's really a great and detailed gas station and it looks even better integrated to your modulars! Great job :)

I'm not sure i'm at the right place but since it's the comparison topic, i guess it's appropriate. I would have love to have Lego SW fans advice, is it worth it buying the latest version of the millenium falcon (7965) if I already have the old version of it from 2000 (7190)? Making a Lego death star out of an IKEA lamp
EvilBlackSheep replied to joopsta's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They do! It's on the new catalogue, I saw it in an ikea store the other day they were installing them for display. But as putting kragle on something, isn't it better to sacrifice some clones instead of holy lego parts ? -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
EvilBlackSheep replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Asian restaurant at ground level and detective agency on the first floor would be great. I'm really not super excited by the detective agency itself but who knows we could get a surprisingly interesting design. -

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
EvilBlackSheep replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
Hi, does the requirement of 3 sets with the instructions imply the sets needs not to have been already reviewed? I'm not sure about that point but I otherwise meet the requirements and would love to join the academy if possible. Thanks in advance. -
Does Lego get less tight over time?
EvilBlackSheep replied to Richard Dower's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh this is it then, because it's the same tires I'm talking about. It stuck to some pieces and made some weird things. It removed the color on a red and yellow door (now the red ahas a missing pattern of the side of the said tire) and it stuck to 2 yellow regular 1x6 on the side, making a weird reaction like 'melting' the plastic. After cleaning, those 2 bricks have now some missing matter where the tire stuck. I was surprised because those tires were the only pieces that seemed to have a weird reaction over time and i was sure no glue was involved in my legos. I'm glad to see it didn't happen just to me.
