LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ArrowBricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wouldn’t get too excited about the summer wave speculation. It usually has 7-9 sets anyway and I’m pretty sure the leaker will be referring to the helmet sets and Probe Droid, and the UCS sets. Amount all them together and it’s a lot of sets compared to Winter but nothing extraordinary. I really like the Imperial Shuttle. Would have been an 8/9 if it had an extra Stormtrooper or Officer who Luke actually handed himself to on Endor! Oh and of course I am assuming Vader has arm printing! -
Love it. Will edit that idea into the list to make a total of 9 sets.
-
Summer 2021. Give it to me Lego.
-
I’m not sure, well atleast it shouldn’t be the case since Disney Shows are the new thing and their reach is completely underestimated.
-
I have decided. Give me sets that have a good price, new figures and sufficient amounts and I’ll respect the set. Lego can do this, I want the heyday back and I’m confident with all this new Star Wars, Lego’s budget (if we are of the school of thought that the budget has been reduced) will be enhanced. It has to. They need to realise Disney + has such a reach... I feel like they underestimated it with the Clone Wars hence only a few sets. Would love like 4/5 sets at a time for each new show/film etc. A Bad Batch wave would be sick for example. The Clone Wars s7 had so many sets they could have done and would have sold so well!
-
Haha yes, I have no idea what I want to do job-wise (I’m a uni student) and I’d love to work for Lego; I have no creativity with actual bricks though! Picked out these sets in particular. Love the microfighter idea and can totally see that becoming a set. I was going to include a Corvus set but the violence in it probably means it will never be a set (prisoners)

Hmm update the design of a main character then only chose to include it in some of the sets, with one being a convention exclusive... People have a right to be upset imo. -

What a disgusting lineup for the Shuttle. It’s disgusting how they think (and can sadly) get away with things such as that. I’m so passionate about Lego and want amazing sets that we all get excited for but sadly those days are long gone. Disgusting. X-Wing only good set of the way and I’ll let the Tie Fighter off the hook too just. Beskar Mando of course great but the rest of the set is naff. -

Tie Fighter £34.99 X-Wing £44.99 Beautiful prices going on here! Not the most inspiring but I truly think this is the right step forward considering Lego was just too expensive and detailed. That X-Wing imo is insanely good. I’d expect a Y-Wing, another Tie (Vader’s or interceptor) and a Star Destroyer in the summer. I’d be baffled if Lego do not commit to this. Hopefully prequels get some love too with the scaled down versions! -
Cheers man. Agreed with the Imperial Star Destroyer. Ideally I’d want to add a new figure of some sort but ran out of ideas... Hated TLJ when it came out but as I watched it back it wasn’t bad but mainly as a stand-alone film. These sets I’ve quoted I’d love tbf!

A standard Lego thing to do ;) I guess it can come with it but had Boba in the wave and don’t want to lose Vanth’s luscious hair. Agreed! Would be so so good! @Everyone: What do we think the next battle pack £24.99/$29.99 set will be?

Admins pin this post! It’s excellent. The Tie Fighter minifigures do sound a little disappointing granted. Hopefully Leia is new in some way for the X-Wing. -
In line with the ‘reboot’ of the line this winter with cheaper, more affordable sets here is what I think the summer ‘could’ look like. 75XXX Cobb Vanth’s Speeder £24.99: Cobb Vanth (no helmet), The Mandalorian, Offworld Jawa 75XXX CIS Proton Cannon £34.99: Mace Windu , Mace Windu Clone Trooper, Battle Droid (x2) 75XXX Naboo Starfighter £39.99: Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, R2-C4, Naboo Pilot Arven Wendik, Naboo Engineer Nici Burren, Droideka 75XXX Rebel Y-Wing Starfighter £49.99: Rebel Pilot Dex Tiree, R4-D6, General Willard, Rebel Honour Guard 75XXX Tie Bomber £69.99: Tie Bomber Pilot, Admiral Ozzel, Mouse Droid 75XXX Obi-Wan’s Blue Jedi Interceptor w/Hyperdrive Booster Ring (Exclusive) £79.99: Obi-Wan Kenobi, R4-G9, Tion Medon 75XXX Republic AT-TE Walker £84.99: Kit Fisto (new head mould!), Pablo-Jill, Clone AT-TE Driver, Clone Trooper (x2) 75XXX Jabba’s Sail Barge £119.99: Jabba, Salacious Crumb, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, R2-D2, Vizam, Saelt-Marae 75XXX Venator Class Cruiser £139.99: Ahsoka Tano, Commander Rex, Republic Officer, 332nd Clone Trooper, Phase II Shiny Clone Trooper, R7-A7

@wesker You’re talking straight facts in all honesty. Give us a small little reboot of TPM over a couple of waves and finally Lego have given the film a good representation! Gian Speeder £29.99 Naboo Starfighter w/Vulture Droid £64.99 Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator (only way to get Maul) Naboo Royal Starship £89.99 Mos Espa Podrace £109.99 Republic Cruiser £119.99 Trade Federation Lansing Craft £129.99 @Mandalorianknight for me these are the AOTC’s sets Lego should do... Dexter’s Diner £29.99 Geonosian Starfighter £29.99 Homing Spider Droid (accurate stickers on the centre) £34.99 Padme’s Nubian Yacht £64.99 Jango Fett’s Slave One £109.99 Republic SPHA-T £129.99 Geonosian Arena £139.99 ROTS Obi-Wan’s Blue Jedi Interceptor £24.99 Clone Scout Walker £29.99 Separatist Shuttle (Brown) £54.99 Senate Duel £59.99 Republic UT-AT £84.99 Padme’s Star Skiff £129.99 Republic AT-OT Walker £129.99
-
I meant in general don’t worry. I think fans that don’t like TPM make excuses for why characters are marginal etc when in fact they play a good part in the film. Forgot to add you could have Shmi and Fodesinbeed in a Podracer set and even an accurate Pit Droid.
-
@Mandalorianknight I chose the Republic Shuttle as a viable way to get Maul and a Yellow Clone Pilot Phase II aswell as being the second Republic set of the wave. I already have the Proton Cannon, Tri-Droid and MTT so I felt that was more than enough and same goes for the Endor Bunker (obvs would expect it to be released following summer). In terms of TPM I think there’s some key stuff missing... Naboo Royal Starship, Boss Nass, Gian Speeder, Brown Vulture Droid and a Trade Federation Landing Craft. Needed re-releases are the Republic Cruiser and a Mos Espa Podrace. Padme in her Theed design is a must for me. Kitster, Ric Olie, Rune Haako, and Sabe are all characters warranting a release imo. Can also freshen up some of the Naboo forces with a Naboo Engineer and a Naboo Palace Guard which both have yet to be released.

Updated summer wave ideas. 10 sets because the Winter wave is slightly smaller than usual. 75XXX Obi-Wan’s Blue Jedi Interceptor £24.99: Obi-Wan Kenobi, R4-G9 75XXX Endor Speeder Chase £24.99: Endor Luke, Scout Trooper 75XXX CIS Proton Cannon w/Dwarf Spider Droid £44.99: Battle Droid Commander, Battle Droid, Mace Windu, Mace Windu Clone Trooper 75XXX Separatist Tri-Droid £54.99: Super Tactical Droid, Battle Droid (x2), Commander Cody, 212th Clone Trooper 75XXX Imperial AT-ST Walker £59.99: At-st Driver (x2), Widdle, Wunka 75XXX Resistance B-Wing £64.99: Aftab Ackbar, Rose, Beaumont Kin 75XXX Republic Prisoner Shuttle £89.99: Clone Pilot, Clone Shock Trooper (x2), Darth Maul 75XXX Tie Echelon £99.99: Kylo Ren, Commander Pyre, First Order Stormtrooper, Dok-Ondar 75XXX CIS MTT (w/Flitknot Speeder) £119.99: Super Battle Droid (x5), Commando Droid, Tactical Droid, Anakin Skywalker, Jesse 75XXX Venator-Class Cruiser £139.99: Ahsoka Tano, Commander Rex, 332nd Clone Trooper, Shiny Phase II Clone Trooper, Republic Officer, G-G, CH-33P

I think one of the reasons why is it is actually a really good set! I think this is where the frustration lies with people outside North American (including me). The set is accurate, would have been affordable, cool play value and excellent minifigures. Why are Lego rewarding people going to a convention than to the loyal fans each year who buy the sets etc? This Cloud City Duel is actually better than many of the sets they have released recently including the bland Winter 2021 wave. The 2021 summer wave for Harry Potter has had its set numbers and prices revealed and looks expansive and interesting. Here’s hoping the Star Wars wave has something similar!
