  1. I think it’s a mistake, but that is assuming it’s a MBS, though. Its the $160 set 75323 which is confusing me. I wonder why it has this number; it doesn’t follow from the summer wave, price up. I don’t think this comment is unfair, and I actually largely agree. I will be a bit disillusioned if this summer we don’t see some prequel stuff. We do have a precedent, because last summer there were Clone Wars sets, and which the designers did a decent job with. Lego would make a heck of a lot of money if various Republic ships were released in a wave, I think everyone on this forum agrees with that. However, the last few years I’d argue it hasn’t been repetitive OT sets. In fact they have been good, needed remakes. Most ‘prequel’ fans won’t complain about this, and it’s why the winter wave has been viewed as decent. You have to remember, they didn’t even release many OT sets in the summer of 2021, and in 2020 this was the same too. It’s the winter which seems to favour OT currently, for whatever reason that might be. Fingers crossed for summer 2022.
  2. Where is the user that basically predicted most of the 2020 summer wave?! We NEED him again Here are my predictions: 75323 (159.99) - Hoth Echo Base (it is clumped with the Hoth set numbers so makes sense!) - Would be a scaled down version of the UCS Hoth set from 2016(?), and would include some of those larger white turrets, a snowspeeder, the opening doors and some interior of the base, and the generator to go with the UCS set. Minifigures: Han Solo, General Leia, General Rieekan, C3-PO, R2-D2, R3-PO, Hoth Rebel Trooper (x2), Rebel Pilot (x2) 75331 - Assault on Endor (Endor Generator, bunker, landing pad) - c. 22 minifigures. Imperials, Rebels, Ewoks. 75332 - Hailfire Droid 75333 - Homing Spider Droid 75334 - Coruscant Airspeeder Chase 75335 - AT TE Walker 75336 - TBoBF/Obi-Wan 75337 - Republic Gunship 75338 - Death Star Conference Room (18+) 75339 - Republic Fighter Tank 75342 - (Exclusive) - Cid’s Diner?
  3. Where did he say this - was it on his story? (thus, expired so can’t see). If he says something, pay attention as you probably are aware. So this gets me excited… Yeah, this is a good point. Haven’t heard anything of the such.
  4. I wouldn't get too bogged down with what has happened before etc. Lego each year prove you cannot predict their waves of sets they release. What this forum, alongside Instagram and Youtube show is there is a thirst for a Gunship, an AT-TE, and somewhat surprisingly a Petranaki Arena. It has surprised me.
  5. They are not going to say a Gunship is in the works, regardless imo. People would just say, oh I will wait for that instead of buying the UCS version. IMO it is the perfect time to release it, but Lego and obvious isn't always synonymous. I did not realise this, but Rex's AT-TE is a different animal to the standard Republic one. I am going to do my predictions soon, but if I was to guess I would have Dooku and his speeder in the Gunship. Even if Anakin etc are not included.
  6. This is rumoured to be the Dark Trooper helmet. 75337 ($140): Either this is an AT-TE or Gunship (if this is the AT-TE, then the Gunship is $160). Assuming this is the AT-TE, I'd say it includes the build, a Geonosian cannon, maybe a command post, and some terrain. Minifigures include 4x P1 clones, P1 Clone commander, 2x Super Battle Droids, Geonosian Warrior, Mace Windu There is no way an AT TE is $140. This would mean a piece increase of Atleast 350-450 pieces. Whilst it needs improving, not this much. It’s more likely to be one of the $100, and the $140 the Gunship.
  7. Is this taking into account the reported dark trooper helmet? (75343)
  8. Interesting, cheers for the info. Surprised at the proximity of the two. Explains perhaps a more fleshed summer wave.
  9. Fair to assume a few sets from Kenobi if that is the case, and nothing from Andor I don’t think.
  10. Do we even know when Kenobi and Andor come out? If it’s December, I doubt lego sets be released in 2022 for spoilers n dat.
  11. I’m probably not the best to answer this, but usually mid Jan, early February we will have a concrete list.
  12. Yes the AT-TE for sure needs an improvement. Couple of good mocs online, as well as schematics too. It really does emphasis the interior, which previous Lego models have failed to capture imo.
  13. Correct, doubt it would ever be done considering it’s so challenging to recreate. @Kit Figsto - exactly my thoughts, yes. Fingers crossed.
  14. Because we saw it in the UCS set and have got over it. It’s not ideal, I agree, but saves Lego from changing the torso’s from the Clone Wars sets in 2020 and the films. It’s lazy. I expect nothing less. The average folk wouldn’t notice, or care too much. Pilot ;)
  15. Some further observations/theories: 1. AOTC sets should be expected in the summer 2022/3 - both minifigure packs are situated within Star Wars battles currently being focused on by the designers - Hoth and Geonosis. Both now have a UCS and a minifigure pack attributed to it, whilst Hoth has further sets released (AT-AT, Snowtrooper Bp, and AT-ST, and with some more potentially on the way e.g., Echo Base, Snowspeeder - makes sense) 2. The double-identity of the Clone Commander has a longer history than we realise! In 2013, Lego released an AT-TE and a Clone Pilot. The Clone Commander served as the driver (the pilot to to speak) of the AT-TE- he was the only Clone in the set, after all. From a marketing perspective including the Commander in this set as exclusive, and the Pilot in the Gunship, also released in 2013, as exclusive makes sense. Hence, in a minifigure pack the Clone Commander does indeed serve as a Commander and Pilot. It is not really about making him more accessible. With an AT TE and Gunship on the way, an army of Clone Commanders can be used as pilots for these vehicles. Simply, Lego truly do view the Commander this way, hence the inclusion in the minifigure pack. 3. Lego panicked, unable to develop a new mould/design for the Clone Pilot during the UCS Gunship development phase. Certainly, by observation, the complexity of the Clone Pilot from AOTC can be seen. Realising this early on, whilst knowing they were to release the Clone Commander in a minifigure pack a few months later, thus saving in production, it was agreed the Clone Commander would serve as a pilot. They did not have time to produce a Clone Pilot (similar to 2013, but using the new visor, torso, and leg designs of the shinies), and/or felt it was easier to not attempt to do so, simply because a Clone Commander would soon be in production. This point kind of contradicts point 2, however. For me, the decision to include the Commander in the UCS set as a pilot goes against all evidence of the Lego Star Wars designers; they have never been that inaccurate, after all they have produced AOTC, TCW's and Phase II Clone pilots before! I think it shows how polarising Lego Star Wars is, and for this I do have some sympathy for the design team. Often, they can't really win. But this has tbf been the case for as long as I can remember. Shhh, but people did not actually want Phase I versions, as I hypothesised/claimed the other day
  16. 20th Anniversary sets for 2022 predictions - I think these are realistic except for the Clone Pilot - maybe they didn’t have time to make the complex mould required for the UCS set…? 75XXX Hailfire Droid + Dwarf Spider Droid £24.99: Geonosian Battle Droid Commander, Geonosian Battle Droid (x2) 75XXX Homing Spider Droid £29.99: Super Battle Droid (x2), Shaak Ti, Clone Lieutenant 75XXX Coruscant Airspeeder Chase £54.99: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Zam Wessell 75XXX Republic AT-TE Walker £99.99: Mace Windu OR Luminara Unduli OR Plo Koon, Clone Sergeant, Padme Amidala, Clone Trooper (x2) 75XXX Republic Gunship (w/Dooku’s Speeder) £139.99: Clone Pilot, Yoda, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto, Clone Captain, Clone Trooper, Count Dooku The AT TE in particular could do with an upgrade, especially the interior, in similar fashion to the 2020 AT-AT. (seating areas etc)
  17. The box art for the Clone Pack looks so clean. The inclusion of a Commander - and the set itself - makes me think we are getting an AT TE and Gunship. This is perfect to fill these sets up with, and allows them to include different figures than shiny clones in them. The inclusion of a Commander could well double as a Pilot too, which they said after all. The Gunship usually only includes one pilot and the AT TE does not have a driver at all in previous sets. Just some musings of mine.
  18. £13.49 for the each - a tad expensive. Both are actually decent! Nice builds, even though small and lacking in piece count. The set descriptions emphasise ‘youngsters’ here, just an interesting note. UCS Gunship fans won’t be happy the Commander is here. Personally I like it, but that’s because I’m selfish. It’s a kick in the teeth, and justifies the anger from many about the ucs figures even further. I would say, that this pack implies, Atleast a few, Attack of the Clones sets in the summer. Fingers crossed!!
  19. I don’t like the sound of this, eeeekkk. Edit - ah, just seen this whispers on the good old Instagram. Figure pack announcement tomorrow. Could get messy…
  20. Agree with @Bobbtom, excellent moc this. I don’t actually mind Lego’s version, but I don’t care about Microfighters really. Speaking of Microfighters, I recently stumbled upon a YouTube video by Hachiroku24 - Boga and Wheelbike Microfighter. I advise everyone to search this, wow this is the standard Lego should go for. We’d all buy them.
  21. Couple of folks over on Instagram are suggesting it is, not sure either way. Different shade of Brown and visor has been altered apparently.
  22. At least the box art is nice Apparently, Mando is new (which I can see from other pictures) even though I’m fairly sure the box art suggests otherwise…
  23. Appreciate this response. Thank you. Much better way of communicating it. Sorry to anyone I offended, I am passionate as you can tell! I seem to be in the somewhat minority - I am very glad many users here are happy with this minifigure pack. I hope it lives up to expectations, and as above states it is "a good sign of things to come". Sorry all once again. I appreciate communication and interaction that is respectful. My initial comment I felt was fine, but could have been better. The second, not so but to be honest it was warranted. Nice one, I look forward to seeing the pictures of these packs. Anyone reckon its a normal phase I clone, or a Commander/Captain as the third figure? - I would love the pack if it as Fox, won't lie. yes, this is fair. I see this. Perhaps my view is actually the product of my surprise at the reaction from others, that is positivity towards the idea of Phase I troops.
  24. I am inferring based on the pattern of battle packs released. In my mind, there is no surprise that these minfigure packs have come at a time when battle packs have either not beeb released, or only have one releasing. So I might be wrong, but can you blame people for inferring the minfigure packs will exist alongside battle packs, but in a sense replace them - from the perspective that we will get a smaller quantity of battle packs in the future. Sorry, I cannot seem to articulate my points very well these days. I could probably write above better, but I hope you get the gist. This is an excellent point, to be fair.
  25. Ok, a lot of personal attacks here. Let’s breakdown some stupid comments from folks on this page. @Mandalorianknight @Brikkyy13 @THELEGOBATMAN Number One - I genuinely think this person does not have any idea. The Original Trilogy is not relevant…RIGHT, SURE. The main Star Wars films have been, and are always relevant. It explains why Star Wars has been so successful, and continues to be watched and have new media created for it. Batman, relevancy isn’t solely about when something is released you doughnut. Imagine suggesting the Clone Wars S 1-3 is more relevant than ANH. Now that, to borrow your term, is “dumb”. Number Two - Someone under the allusion he knows a lot, and often can be very very very condescending. The Bad Batch is the extension of the Clone Wars my friend, including a number of characters appearing in S7 (Bad Batch, Rex, Trace/Rafa, Tarkin etc). Moreover, Clone Wars sets appeared in the summer just gone. As far as I am aware nobody said the Clone Wars S7 was not relevant. Batman again, you seem to keep coming up (I wonder why…). At no point did I claim these are battle packs. I have simply said they have filled the void of battle packs, which for me is a waste. These minfigure packs, as many claim, limit new moulds that can be created. Personally, I am against this. I think Lego should strive to be including new moulds each year. Second, the Hoth battle pack certainly seems like an army-building pack, no? Poor decision making? YES, I stand by this. I am against less battle packs, in favour of more minfigures packs. I am against minfigures packs that are unnecessary because, by their very nature, are very limiting. Battle Packs on the other hand have an excellent track record with ‘new’ in every way possible, including MOULDS. It’s clear, the reason there is only one battle pack returning this year is because Lego wants to adopt these minfigure packs. Heck, let’s not even call out the three minfigures in these packs! How poor is that!!! I will back down for the remaining ‘new’ arguments. Whilst I can now see why people would be happy with a new helmet and a coloured torso, (surely the legs and head won’t be new for a pack in this price point), personal taste this is not for me. The final point, genuinely makes some chuckle. A lot. “ArrowBricks people are happy about this, so it must mean they have been asking for Phase I Cody and Rex”. I didn’t ask for the Hoth AT-ST once, and I’m super happy with how that turned out. Equating desires with likes in this case is wrong, plain wrong. Honestly the most “dumb” of the lot. An alternative perspective just so I communicate my opinion correctly - if Lego released a Tie Bomber in the summer, many would say finally we have been asking for this for years! Hence, they appreciate its desirable and like the content of the set itself. To conclude. No I will not give Lego props for taking away battle packs as the main source for figures. No I will not be happy with Lego when they lazily released Phase 1 versions when the majority have wanted Phase II. These have not been desirable minfigures, people have reacted and gone “oh actually I don’t mind this”. That is fine, but stop claiming you’ve been asking for this. People’s standards are so low these days. Quite sad. Ohwell. Atleast we know many users here are extremely rude, and I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to some as communicating over the internet is difficult - I am sure my points got construed. Adios.
