LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ArrowBricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I’ve always preferred concurrent battle packs, I don’t think it’s time to stop churning out legions but I don’t think it should be at the expense of others. -

To be honest, I agree. I think it’s the perfect time to start releasing two battle packs per year, or atleast a Battle Pack and some Blister packs. I remember the days of 4 battle packs…this current time seems more akin to needing that structure than back then when it was implemented. -

With a Coruscant Guard Gunship, I think most things are on the table. Currently working on an article that should answer some of your questions, I’ll let you know more when it’s done. -

I think this might be one of those things we look back on as evidence for a 212th battle pack in the future. -

Surprised im the first one to reveal this considering it’s all over Instagram, BUT… Promobricks has provided more details on the 2024 battle pack. 3x Phase II Shiny Clone Trooper, 1 x Phase II Clone Shock Trooper, 3x Super Battle Droid, 2 x Battle Droid It will have a speeder that can seat two clones, a “defensive post”, a STAP, and an Octuptarra Tri-Droid. -

@BrickBob Studpants @Mandalorianknight The problem if you delay these sets is you leave a vacuum for when they were meant to be released and then you potentially have too many sets to release the following year and end up having to decide what/if to cancel. Either way, we will just have to wait and see. -

Probably already close to being completed if Lego does plan on releasing sets based off of them. Hence, I reckon they’ll just release them as usual, but the only thing closely resembling the current predicament is the Skywalker Saga game but even then. Simply, if Lego are going to release such sets, they’re pretty much completely already and I can’t see them changing the release schedule of them despite the potential delays. -

It’s that time again. I have been thinking about what we might see for the second half of the year now we know most things coming in the first half. I do predict that in March-May we will see more Ahsoka sets but I’ll wait until the series is over before trying to predict exactly what we will get. After all, we do have some set numbers that do not have any name attributed to them. We also have set numbers mentioned by FalconFan on Instagram which alluded to an exclusive set from the diorama, buildable droid, and mid-scale sub-lines. Here, I think we might see Jabba’s Palace, a B1 Battle Droid, and The Ghost respectively. Anyway, here goes. June 2023: Duel on Tatooine £19.99: Darth Maul, Qui-Gon Jinn (this will have a moister Vaporator and Darth Maul’s speeder, with some sandy terrain. The Vaporator will have a play feature where it can be knocked over). The Mandalorian’s Navarro Hut £29.99: The Mandalorian, Grogu, Greef Karga Desert Skiff & the Great Pit of Carkoon £39.99: Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Pote Snitkin, Brock Starsher Trade Federation AAT £44.99: Theed Padme, Naboo Security Guard, Battle Droid Commander, Battle Droid (x2) Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Starfighter £69.99: Captain Rex, Ahsoka Tano, R7-A7 Bo Katan’s Mandalorian Fighter £69.99: Bo Katan, Axe Woves, Moff Gideon, Imperial SuperCommando Republic Turbo Tank £139.99: Plo Koon, Phase II Commander Wolffe, Phase II Wolfpack Clone Trooper (x3), Droideka (x2) Mechs x3: The Mandalorian, IG-88 & Grogu, Ahsoka Tano August 2023: Imperial Transport Shuttle £89.99: Dr Royce Hemlock, Imperial TK ShockTrooper (x2), Hunter, Wrecker Luthen Rael’s Fondor Haulcraft £149.99: Luthen Rael, Cassian Andor, Val Sartha, Dedra Meero, Death Trooper September 2023: Advent Calendar: TBC The Acolyte £89.99-£99.99: TBC -

Great deal, but you don’t need me to tell you that. One of the best sets I’ve seen in recent years, and I can’t wait to find a discount myself. I am looking forward to more diorama’s too, especially Prequel Trilogy. -

Still think The Ghost should be there. I’m expecting to see the ship in full action soon. I am enjoying the show. After all, it’s Filoni. I trust his version of Star Wars. He gets it. What I actually hate is Disney+ shows. In this day and age it’s frankly impossible to avoid spoilers, but I would much prefer watching it all at once. I get why they don’t, but it does really limit the show. I recently watched Book of Boba again completely in the space of a few days, and it works way better. Separately, the AAT Polybag is interesting. I am currently writing a rather statically-heavy article on future Lego Star Wars Prequel sets. Of course, it seems Lego is celebrating Lego Star Wars from 1999 and by that token TPM. But, I wasn’t expecting this. Certainly, this is not me starting a rumour or anything like that. There is a strong correlation of Polybags and new releases quite recently though, isn’t there? -

I think the inaccuracies with the Ahsoka sets are not unique to the series when translated in Lego, but it’s certainly more prominent. It really puts me off getting excited for new Star Wars content because I am not paying for stuff that’s just wrong, even if the mistakes are not Lego’s fault. In relation to the T6, though, it’s just a wrong decision, similar to the size and scale of the new Gunship. I’d have much rather Lego released the E-Wing and Hati’s Fighter separately and used that slot for the T6. -

Brilliant, cheers. Also noticed that we are missing a few others: 40675 - likely a multi-pack (or a better word, currently can’t think of it!) 40676 Both May 2024 releases. From Brickmerge and BrickClicker and reported by FalconFan. -

Mods move if incorrect etc. Mentioned the other day, but just reminding that Brickmerge (reported by FalconFan) reported three additional sets. 75377 (March release) 75388 75389 Alongside the report were three pictures, suggested diorama set, buildable Droid, and a Midi-scale set. -

Trust me, you can tell who’s waffling and pretending to know, and who actually knows. If you have access to the picture of the set, you have the picture. No speculation about it. Best to wait until someone actually cuts the BS. Because, the set is very clear cut. Clear. -

I think the T6 Shuttle aesthetically is great. The figures are also strong. (can’t decide if I like the Droid as a figure…) The problem is, it feels lacking in multiple areas: play features, small cockpit, underside of wings. Couple that with the price, and I’m unsatisfied. Good one to get on discount that’s for sure. There is also a review of the new Gunship, and I think it looks pretty decent. (check HelloThereRex YouTube) Again, it has one too many issues for my liking: Fox epitomises Lego laziness, the stud shooters are off putting (admittedly easy to fix), and the Gunship is lacking play features compared to its predecessors. I can’t understand why we don’t have a small side-build that fits into either the compartments at the front or at the back of the Gunship. Admittedly, I’ve gotten over my Pilot issue with the set, but I do think it should have had an extra Shock Trooper. I’ve seen other reviews of the E-Wing set and I think I’m happy with it. Just The Ghost to go…fingers crossed. Was typing my post as you posted this and didn’t see. My sentiments exactly. -
