  1. Caught up on today's reading, so here's my thoughts. And some will be things people already said, because when I didn't comment all over yesterday so I didn't repeat the obvious, I got yelled at and voted for So based on this logic, you're scum and I'm loyal. I know I'm town, and you're basically (but with different words) saying "vote for the alchemist because he was too quiet!" Nothing, because I haven't had time to go reread yet. Liar, we did no such thing. Mead and meat for me. Salad is food for the creatures that I eat! And since you lie, you need to die. Lynch all liars, right? Really? You think calling someone scum during the normal day 1 craziness is harsh and too much for one scum to do to another? Votes and name-calling that early are meaningless, and a GREAT time for scum to accuse each other without danger. REALLY PEOPLE? Claiming to Pudding on day 1 AGAIN? Haven't any of you learned from the previous games that early claims are dangerous? I'm assuming that brand was not a power role of any kind, or he would have claimed when the votes were piling up so high. 99% sure he was vanilla.
  2. Thanks - I've been playing here for YEARS and never saw that thread here. Looks like some fun reading :)
  3. In a more serious note, let's look at yesterday now. Lambi was the sole vote against Tarr the Egg - so does that make him loyal? I'm actually leaning towards no - it wasn't like Lambi expected to die in the night, and with such a strong lynch against Brand, it was an opportunity for her to vote against a fellow scum that either could point to later if needed. Her vote was late late in the day, Brand was already two votes beyond the needed 12, so there was no reason for a scummo to vote anywhere other than joining the bandwagon. Brand was loyal, as I expected to see. The fighting on day one felt like fellow loyals arguing to me - puts a bit of lean towards loyal for me on pudding and Tarben. Not a solid by any means, but a lean at least. And patrekr - an early vote on Brand. Not sure there's anything to learn there. 1. As we usually do in these things. Sad, but that's the odds. 2. Interesting, thanks for reminding us. I'll have to go re-read the logs and see how that played out.
  4. Congrats to the vig or SK, whoever killed off one of the corrupted for us! A mug of mead for you, for sure!
  5. Love that! I'll probably do the same when I recolor mine. Still not a fan of the yellow/green/purple with light blue legs. Needs to be bolder colors in my opinion, but there's not many colors to choose from for the dishes that make the roof of each gondola. For solid 6x6 dishes we only have red, dark red, dark green, dark purple, dark orange, and lime (plus white/grey/black). So I'd like to go red, yellow, and not sure on the 3rd color. But if I switched to webbed dishes, I could go red, orange, and bright light orange. Then switch to darker blue legs and I think that could look good.
  6. (This was referring back to Cranebeinn's response to a couple votes on him). And I second this. If you're town, a couple votes on you are irrelevant when it takes 12 to lynch. no need to panic. Scum panic because they're worried about getting lynched. Townies can let a few accusations and votes be ignored if they're really baseless. No, because when you edited down Dar's comments, you left the relevant parts intact. You didn't change the meaning of what he said like you did back with Jarl.
  7. Well, I still think the Brand lynch is a mistake. Nope, he hasn't always been coherent or logical in everything, but it felt to me more like a floundering townie than floundering scum. (I've been both) The one thing that actually stood out to me in all of this as a scummy action was Cranebeinn's deliberate misquote of Jarl. Jarl was obviously poking at him about his sig and that wasn't the reason for his vote, but Crane edited the quote in a way to be misleading in his response. So, Vote: Cranebeinn the Redder (Chromeknight)
  8. Really? Seems like a very normal day 1 to me. Handful of people dominating the conversation with fights over nothing, a bunch of other "suspicions" thrown out that are baseless (really, the way everyone keeps thinking the scum will "slip up" and say something wrong and therefore we should jump down every single word said is just ridiculous.) If I had a serious suspicion of someone, I'd bring it out. I don't, because I think what people are accusing each other of is dumb. Unfortunately, I expect Brand to get lynched but we won't really learn anything, since I don't currently think Tarben or Pudding are scum either.
  9. Oh, now logic is a red flag? We're doomed... (and I say that as the mostly drunk crazy alchemist! And I've still got more logical thought than most of you!) Nope, just mead. Scum eat popcorn (whatever that is), I drink. So far my mead sucks. Working on it though, which is why I haven't posted more. Besides, with all the fighting, who could get a word in?
  10. Well... I had all sorts of things marked to comment as I caught up, but in the end, none of them were worth saying. Just this one was worth keeping. I think this is dead on - my gut says that Brand and Tarben and Pudding are three townies fighting with each other. So no, I'm not going to vote Brand. Odds are high he gets voted off as an easy target between the penalties and the fight, but I'm not voting for someone I think more likely to be town than scum. My gut is rumbling from all the test batches of turning milk into mead, but it's also saying the scum are probably sitting back and enjoying an easy day 1. Plenty of fighting for them to make comments here and there without looking suspicious later, and no real threats to them getting lynched.
  11. Hey, I'm working on my alchemy over here, trying to turn some of that pig milk we seem to have so much of into mead. And not nasty milk-mead, REAL mead. Milk into gold was too hard, but milk into golden mead, well, that might just be doable. Then we shall have no lack of mead ever again! Huzzah! Oh wait, I have to actually make it work first. Bah.
  12. Let me have the milk, and I shall attempt to turn it into mead. The more mead the merrier!
  13. Munud is here, ready to hunt the corrupted.
  14. I'm in. Yes, played many games here, yes, I'll be available (slightly less available the week of June 28-July 4, but I'll still be plenty active. Just more likely to be reading/posting on phone instead of computer so less in depth perhaps). And no, I wasn't in any previous games of Ragnarok.
  15. Never was in the earlier Raganarok, but I'll be in this one.
  16. True, but even townie-me would have done the same thing. I didn't like the lynch, so I was looking for a legit alternative. Heck, go back through any of my old games and I almost always am fighting the lynch and proposing better choices. Maybe I oughta stop, since it never seems to go well for me :)
  17. It was already sorta answered, but yes, it was 100% coincidence that two of us voted JJP at the same time. I was looking for SOMEONE that I could build an actual case against to try and save my scumbuddy from a lynch, and just went after JJP because I could. Unfortunately, while I was taking a while coming up with that post, someone else jumped in and coincidentally did teh same thing. Argh!
  18. Well, that's two different ways to play it. jamesn's way of trying to draw a scum kill is tough - basically gotta be SO townie and forward that they want you dead without drawing the vig/SK. I think I'd be highly temped to take the easier route and claim it pretty quickly. Any thoughts on my day 1 play? Since I was godfather I was hoping to draw an investigation by being even more talkative than normal... but that's obviously a long shot since I'm just 1 of 18 players.
  19. I'll second that TPRU's scum-claim on me was well played. The fact that you did it as an investigation result instead of the true watcher result threw me bad. Yep, I PM'd bob asking if something screwed up and I panicked in my response. If you'd come out with the truth, I'd have handled it better and had a chance (a slight one, but a chance) of saving myself. As it was, I knew you were lying for some reason but that then distracted me into attacking you as much as defending myself.
  20. Scumboard was just a group PM this game. And def, I didn't mean that you TRY to become leader. Like you said, you're active. People then just gravitate towards you or hinck or a few others as "traditional" town block leaders. And in this game, sucked to be you for that except that it lead to a quick scum loss because people were checking you out :(
  21. Wow. Just wow. A town win with 4 straight scum lynches? Insane! Thanks for a super fun game bob, both alive and dead. Have to say, my lynch day sucked. Got unlucky in killing def and getting seen doing it, but then I screwed up big time when accused the next day. I KNEW that TPRU was lying when he said I was investigated as scum, since I was the godfather. But I wasn't sure what he was doing, and I didn't think quick enough of him lying just about HOW I was caught. MAYBE if I'd immediately used the story about being the vig and being redirected it might have worked. Probably not, but I'd have had a better shot than after I claimed vanilla and then flopped my story once I realized the watcher had probably seen me. And yes, we completely took def out night one in blatant over the top metagaming. He seems to always become town leader, so we were hoping that the risk of getting caught / blocked on night 1 was worth it to cripple the town block. Didn't realize how well TPRU would work everyone!
  22. Thanks for a fun game! Looking forward to the rest of it!
  23. Found a couple missing new parts on the 2014 page: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=15460 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=15461 Both are used in the snowmobile - the first is exclusive to that set. The second is also used in a bunch fo Chima, SW, and Super Heroes sets that same year and 2015.
  24. I usually do the opposite (sell the figs since I want the bricks), so I don't know what to tell you. You could always give it a try, get one or two sets and sell them. If the figs are REALLY that much of the value (and it varies hugely from set to set) then you should easily come out ahead, since I'd think it'd be not much problem to sell a 450 piece set for $20 (more than 10 to cover shipping, fees, etc) Basically, just make sure to watch the fig values and your hidden costs of selling to make sure you'll come out ahead. Also, search ebay for SOLD listings to see if they're actually selling.
  25. Sorry, but this is lazy. I never said it was a scum stunt! It's me getting screwed over by a redirector and a lucky watcher, aka very bad luck for me (and the town!).
