  1. Turns or just moves its head? I need to watch that movie again I guess :}
  2. Hi, Have you tried to do a model where the weight can be moved - on a moving axle? Or have a two motor solution one for the front wheels and another for the back ones - which would operate together (same direction)? Thanks, Noam
  3. Hi, I don't recall in the movies that the AT-AT ever turned, I am not sure even whether someone designed them to turn :) They are based on elephants - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT-AT#All_Terrain_Armored_Transport_.28AT-AT.29 - so maybe the idea was to mimic how elephants turn, by doing shorter steps on one side, or maybe that huge head was the weight necessary to turn the AT-AT at the desired direction while still giving the "driver" the ability to aim his cannon. Thanks, Noam
  4. If it moved faster it would look like those in the movies that go chasing people as a crazy robot themed movies usually go about :)
  5. Can you provide it as a text file which we can import and more easily find out which pieces we lack? :]
  6. Hi, Can you put a part list (text file) so that we can know beforehand if we have enough pieces to build it? Thanks, Noam
  7. Assuming you are planning on putting the drum at 30o angle - I believe this is the one of real drums - I don't think a turn table will suit here. I was thinking of putting what is usually done in Lego designs when an angle of non 90o is required - like for wheels - two bricks connected with a cross brick at the angle required This will hold the "main shaft" which the drum ends will connect to and rotate on Since the main beam/connector is a "wheel" with a cross in the middle - it will hold it in place and rotate when force/rotational force, is applied to it Hope to show something more in the near future - I need to get a hold of the needed parts first
  8. Great :) This is fantastic, how accurate is the clock? :} Seriously - accuracy isn't really important - I do believe that ancient times they use some techniques to counter the skew (mistake) created by mechanical clocks using different methods - not sure which :) Since you have the CAD files, can you make instructions for the clock available?
  9. Thanks everyone for the answers... My main concern was the drum, which I was given a few ideas on how to do... I think I will go with Technic version (allanp) rather than the Classic version of the other models. Thanks, Noam
  10. Hi, Has anyone built one? does anyone have the instructions for one? I m mainly worried on how to do the rotating back part drum:
  11. Hi, I believe that someone already did the work, see here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=sarafiel (his real name is apparently Minshik Kong) It has a modified version, but I am sure since he modified it he probably also has it unmodified. I would and try to contact him if I were you, he looks from his posts like a nice guy: http://www.blogger.com/profile/07378804953832470719 (Korean blog - empty) And his MOC site: http://www.brickinside.com/NeoBoard.php?fmSearchType=NAME&fmKeyWord=sarafiel&Db=ReviewOwnCreation&Mode=&Block=0&fmCategory=&fmSubmitSearch=1 I am not sure what his email is, but maybe someone else can help you with that.
  12. I am mainly inexperienced in using that site, which makes me wary of buying from it. I will give it a go :) Thanks for the tip.
  13. Hi, I didn't wait a few weeks, rather a few days, I expected some kind of answer, like an acknowledgement that it was received or something of this sort, otherwise I couldn't tell u whether or not they have received it.
  14. Hi, After telling Peeron all my sets, as well as all my spares (terrible way to do it peeron.. probably there a dozen better ways... different topic..), it would be great if I could at a click of a button, and waiting, get a list of all the sets I can build using the bricks I have, alas the only option is to go through all the sets in the DB and for each see whether you can or not do it... It would be great if Peeron would add it, any idea how you can reach them? I sent an email to their website email address, no answer. In addition, it would be quite nice if it could tell you get this X set (available at stores... not those oldies :]) and you would be able to build X Y Z sets - as it shares the most parts u require. These two things are pretty easy to know if they have the part listing.. Hope I fall on right ears in this forum. Thanks, Noam
  15. Thank you for that, I will look at bricklink to get the needed parts, I have never used it before as the feel of the site is a bit clumsy in my view - I prefer to buy from "shops" rather than people - but maybe it is my brain causing problems :)
  16. Hi, I know that there is a part list at the bottom but since it lacks the part numbers near the items, I would appreciate if you could tell which LEGO sets would be the best ones to purchase in order to be able to build this car with the RC capabilities. If there are a few sets you can mix up, I would appreciate if you could tell more than one combination. Thanks, Noam
