  1. I have a question for Tolkien's fans: I try my best to keep the proportions between my LOTR/Hobbit armies... So, if there were about 300 defenders in Helm's Deep and 10,000 uruk-hais, it's ok to have armies with the ratio of 3 to 100... With that been said, do you know the size of the armies fighting in BO5A? And how many guards are there in Lake Town?
  2. Loved your MOC, how many Helm's Deep sets are there? I must say I am a little jealous of your Rohan army, did they come all from Bricklink? With the prices I wouldn't be surprised if the minifigs were more expensive than the pieces I would definitly put this on display.. Keep up the good work!
  3. Great review, thanks!! At first I did'nt like that set, but now I changed my mind... I'll put a brown hood on Legolas (I already have the one from Mirkwood Spiders, so I'll turn him into a generic elf ranger), the dwarves are perfect and loved the Bard minifig.. It's a good piece selection (this one I don't think I will use for display...)
  4. The problems are: 1) the Hobbit movie isn's that good, when compared to LOTR.. Even the book isn't THAT good, when compared to LOTR, as it had in view children's audience.. 2) as much as I hate to say, we don't have so large numbers as we would like.. ANY of the Lego Ideas based on LOTR is even close of 10,000, and our petition hasn't reached 2,000.. But I still think it's unexcusable to leave Gondor out...
  5. The ice technique is perfect!! Why don't you try to brick build the ram?
  6. Loved the photos and the buildings.. I must say, as we (probably) won't get any (significant) representation of my favorite faction of men (Gondor), I'm staring to like the Lake Town faction more and more (if you consider that's almost impossible to buy Rohan soldiers in big numbers)...
  7. That's exactly one of the pcitures we must put on our post.. Then we should post it on 9gag and other fun forums..
  8. If people sahre this on 9gag: http://9gag.com/gag/aoZpwPn (note that there's a picture of Galadriel in Lego form), why don't we make a post about this and share on 9gag? I suggest that quote "The ring will go to Gondor" with Faramir's picture and a link to this petition... Sure it would give us more visibility.. What do you think?
  9. I signed, but I think there is another problem: we have do reach a great number AND do it quickly... We don't know when the license will end, and even if TLG pay attention to this and change their mind, they will need time to develop the last wave and produce the new sets..
  10. It's a nice set to have for display... The minifigs are very detailed, and it's cool do have PJ version of Umbar.. It's smaller than the Viking Ship.. I think it's a nice add on your evil armies (and there is a lack of navy support, so it's cool for that)..
  11. The thing is, a few pages earlier we already asked for them this information, and they already said that there were no LOTR advertisements in the instructions... So, we are presuming that there will be no more Middle Earth waves..
  12. If there isn't, do you think we could make a petition asking for a last Gondor set/ LOTR wave? Perhaps it's an easier way to show our voice instead of Lego Ideas..
  13. I've ready this topic for a while now, since the 1st LOTR wave.. And it's sad that what mande me decide to register into this forum were the (probably) last sets of what is my favorite theme.. Well, that said, I understand all the hate of the minifigs choices (I'm too disappointed, I still can't believe we didn't get Bolg, as I don't understand why there-'s no Faramir or Eowyn on LOTR), but MAYBE Lego didn't have the choice if they decided to follow the movie.. Let's see: 1. Battle of 5 armies: we all know why Thorin and Dain are here. The reason why we got Azog instead of Bolg is that PJ probably will put him against Thorin during the fight. And, perhaps, Beorn won't take part in the battle too (I still wonder why they put him in the Dol Guldur set).. Also, Thranduil probably stands away from the battle, giving commands, and that's why we get Legolas instead of him.. Bard is an important character and seems to take a nice role during the battle (as we see in the movie all the elves standing there with him).. 2. Lake Town set: we HAD to get Bard (and, perhaps, in the movie he doesn't wear full armour in that scene, because he was in the jail minutes before the attack and did't have time to prepare himself). His son is also important, because if I remeber correctly he is the one with the black arrow, and Tauriel plays a important role the story, althouth not in that particulary scene.. 3. Wicht King: perfect set, I just don't know what I'm going to do with Galadriel if I buy more than one (5 Nazgul in that form is cool, and Elrond can be easily turned into a soldier)..
