  1. Personally I'd love it if they did a set that had a Banner minifigure and a Hulk Bigfig with a turntable piece of wall for Banner to 'transform' into the Hulk.
  2. I'd have preferred the Giant Sentinel mini figure from the Marvel Superheroes game. I was at very least hoping for one of the torches/alarm clocks, but no such luck. The main minifigure that's been revealed for the game that I can't imagine ever being made that I'd love to have is Detective Chimp. That would be an awesome minifigure.
  3. Having a baby in danger might be a little too dark for Lego, especially considering the outcome of the source material. I completely agree that having Aqualad instead of Robin would have been cool, but again I'm so pleased with this wave overall that I'm not going to sweat the small stuff on it. I really hope that this wave does well and gives Lego a bit more confidence in using extended DCU characters. It would be awesome to see more characters year on year. I accept there will always be a 'need' to feature big name characters (batman/superman/wonder woman) but to have them (ideally in cool alternate versions like the 90s energy form Superman) paired with lesser known characters would make the theme all kinds of awesome.
  4. Kwik-E-Mart was a fairly safe bet for further Simpsons source material. The thing is if they'd done a full range for the Simpsons I could see how the Kwik-e-Mart would have worked for just about any price point, being different sizes to fit the price. I think it'll be a little bit of a shame if they only do the bigger sets for this theme. People like my brother would almost certainly come out of dark ages as the result of a varied price point theme of the Simpsons - he even told me as much in that if he could just buy the Simpsons and/or Flanders cars he wouldn't think twice but anything £100+ and he doesn't see the point. I get why TLG would choose this route though. It's more of an adult theme than child theme so more likely to appeal with higher detail and therefore higher prices.
  5. The part of me that likes collecting all the minifigures hates masses of the same figures throughout a theme. The part of me that likes building loves having easy ways to build armies. It's very conflicting. Looking at the Ultron stand in (which I vaguely remember seeing a few months ago now) I'm definitely leaning towards standard minifigure with Moulded head piece. depending what the body looks like though I could see a battle droid/general grevious style figure being the more likely choice. Until we see trailers though I don't think there are any safe bets on what the character is likely to look like in Lego format.
  6. Wally west's suit was generally a darker red, didn't have the chin strap and had the typical 90s whited out eyes, the main thing it would have needed was a different face print. The lightening print for running would have been a great idea too. With regards to Robin, you've gotta look at it from a child's perspective. A scuba suit version if Robin would probably be cooler than Mera to your average 8 year old boy. Personally I would prefer Mera (and prefer her to not be in the typical damsel in distress role) but realise we are already being spoiled with the amount of new characters in this wave.
  7. Rumour mill on the Dawn of Justice movie is that it will feature the Carrie Kelley version of Robin. If that turns out to be true and they give us one DoJ set I really hope they include her as a minifigure. I'd really like more variants when they repeat characters. Choosing a Damian Wayne looking Robin mini figure for the Joker Steamroller set was great, it's the one disappointment with this upcoming wave that Aquaman and Flash are not new variants, it'd have been great to have a hook handed Aquaman and a Wally West Flash. But still it looks the best wave for DC so far!
  8. The Darkseid set would still get my money at an extra $10 - which there's every chance it will be in the UK. I have only ever paid retail on two sets that come to mind (eco-suit and research institute) so it's very unusual for me to say this, but I'm not waiting for a deal on that one. I have been hoping for a Hawkman mini figure since the Lex vs Superman & Wonder woman set came out and intend to completely vote with my wallet on this and buy that day one, probably Grodd the following pay day and the others probably start looking for the discounts.
  9. ^I'd say it's fairly unlikely. I don't know about the US but in the UK Batman Beyond is virtually unheard of, I think the cartoon was played on one of the main kids channels but it never made it big enough for people to generally be aware of it. It's not completely impossible but I think there's a lot of other source material that TLG are more likely to take up than Batman Beyond.
  10. I'm onboard with most of them as ones I'd like, although I'd like pretty much every DC character. I really want them to use wither a microfigure or one of the little trophy mini figures printed to look like the Atom, I think it's such an obvious thing to do that it's a little bit silly Lego didn't do it in this wave for the die hard DC fans. I know there are issues with licensing agreements etc but I really think TLG would be so clever to do CMF DC/Marvel superhero blind bags as a way of getting more of the lesser known characters (or versions of characters) into the themes. I can't imagine a character like Deadman making it into a set, but he'd be a great filler character for a CMF line, requiring no new moulds only colours of existing pieces. Add in a couple of generic characters, like citizen or GCPD officer and there would be an 'army builder' type incentive for those that want more fleshy parts to fill out their MOCs etc. Plus it would open the door to end dark ages for a lot of people...it was the minifigures in a Star Wars advent calendar that did it for me. If I knew there were CMFs of some of my fav superheroes before that I'd have been buying them all - without the practice of touch IDing I now have that would have meant buying a crap load!
  11. Again, it's not really TLG's decision (aside from choosing to acquire the licence) as Disney sets the rules of what is allowed under the Princesses merchandise line. Any merchandise of those characters that features a villain will be under the branding for that specific film and not under the Princesses banner. This is Disney's rules for that merchandising licence. TLG might want to include some more exciting scenes in that line but are not allowed - the difficulty in saying perhaps they shouldn't have gone for that licence is, what other primarily girl friendly licence could they have gone for?
  12. More than anything else the hood is to match how GA generally looks in the comics now. I think if they were to use the forestmen hat the back print would ideally be hair, otherwise he'd look bald, any fleshie minifigure with a standard lego hat always looks like they are missing hair to me. Another thing that would be great would be if they have included an up hood piece as well, so GA can either have the hood up of down.
  13. This isn't really down to TLG but is in fact Disney's call. The Disney princesses merchandising rights do not allow for any villains, the idea is to focus on the princesses and at most on the romance elements of their story (which is why we have had a couple of 'princes' but no villains)
  14. I wasn't surprised at the lack of goatee. New 52 version. I think that I would be great if TLG did a version with the goatee and robin hood hat, but I can only see it happening as a comic con figure (unless DC change him in the comics and TLG stick with this setup for future waves.)
  15. I was hoping for an arm cannon (which could have easily be done with the arm piece used on the Series 3 Space villain CMF, but I assume TLG thought they needed to include the sloppy looking, firing gun to add play value.
  16. In a few years time, i can imagine when a terrible looking DC line coming out everybody saying (of this wave) "remember the year we got sets with all the characters"
  17. Green arrow has generally had a hood rather than the Robin Hood hat in the comics for quite a long time now. Every now and then there is a slip back to it, but the hood I think is generally seen as far less comical and the hood also serves to help hide his identity.
  18. I haven't got a chance of winning, but this is definitely going to be a fun contest to enter!
  19. They could include a white lantern variant of Batman to keep up the necessary number of Batman minifigures to go with them.
  20. My hope is that now we are moving away from just Batman this wave has set up loads of hero minifigures, potentially next wave the balance will be higher on the villain side. E.g next wave could have a set with Flash (and probably obligatory Batman appearance) taking on Trickster and Weather Wizard. There are a huge amount of villains that can be done with existing moulds so the investment is lower on TLGs side.
  21. It seems crazy that it's taken TLG so long to realise they can sell figures other than Batman. I was pretty much at the point of assuming a full line up would only happen if it tied in with a film, very glad to be proven wrong. Next bit of info needed, what exact date will these hit shelves? Must buy Hawkman on day one!
  22. I think the missed opportunity is to include a coiled up lasso (like the CMF mountain climber's rope but in gold) to have it included but act as extra incentive to those who had the Lex set. It is however good to see that wonder woman is actively fighting (even if from the jet) on the cover rather than acting as the damsel in distress character!
  23. I've actually just started working on a pie hole kitchen Vignette to put Thandril in...I'm a massive Pushing daisies fan so yes I also think of Lee Pace first and foremost as the pie maker!
  24. I thought exactly the same, time to start a banana stand MOC. Just have to remember to line the walls with Lego cash, there's always money in the banana stand.
  25. I prefer to think of it as the DC line we deserve....had to be done, sorry. I'm curious to see the final builds, they've definitely hit the lineup brilliantly with the mini fig choices and distributions, just want to know how much I'm going to want to display!
