  1. My ideal Christmas tree would be something small deep in the woods so I could have a nice hike for Christmas.
  2. I always love it when that mustache accessory is used in a build!
  3. Excellent work! All the small elements really come together to make the larger piece. Nice work on that wall.
  4. Counter against Umbra-Manis's guerrilla attack on B7
  5. Very nice! I especially think that you did a good job on the texture of the aqueduct in particular, and overall its a neat design. Good work!
  6. Looks great Bregir! It'll be exciting to get to view the rest. It's nice to see that not all of us have abandoned Avalonia in light of Southern developments!
  7. My counter attack against Umbra-Manis's guerrilla attack in sector B7. (I think I made a mistake in the title. Whoops ) In response to the Mummy Herding Carts that have been running rampant in Ulander territory, security fences had to be build in order to keep out these carts. The reinforced fences are made of sharpened spikes driven into the ground at an angle. An attempt to drive a cart through the fence will harm and damage the cart, and the fence is only able to be removed from the inside. Also, an armed guard patrol is on the lookout for an invaders or any damage to the fence. Nothing breaches without the Ulanders knowing about it.
  8. A Failed Insurgency A squad of Ulandian troops defends a local roadblock against a group of rebels.
  9. A Failed Insurgency After the Ulandians occupied the Nestlands, insurgencies began popping up in an attempt by the locals to regain their land. After the Ulandians blocked an essential trade road in a dense forest in the region, a small group of cloaked local fighters attempted to retake the road. Unfortunately for them, the Ulandian fighting force guarding the route was prepared, and after a quick and one-sided battle, the guards were able to drive off the attackers. The Ulandians hold off the Nestlanders. An overhead shot of the skirmish.
  10. Battle on the Mountain A well respected warrior of Ulandus, Octavio Cedric was quick to enter the battle happening around the Lone Mountain. One of the region's best fighters, he had quickly dispatched many worthy foes in the early stages of the fight. Here, he launches a successful attack against an unprepared fighter representing the Desert King. Propelling himself from the rocky mountainside, he leaps down and thrusts his spear into the enemy, casting the undead fighter into the lava below. Octavio will not rest until he has either won the brawl or been eliminated.
  11. I'm from Avalonia, and Historica has grown so much it is a bit hard for me to keep up too!
  12. Hope I'm not too late to join. First choice is Ulandus, second choice is the high council.
  13. Looking at the information card from this image, the City Space sets will be released in August and the space port will cost $120, which is steep considering it only has 586 pieces. Looks like the new molds and larger pieces are really driving up the price.
  14. I think if there would be a retailer exclusive set, I would want (and a lot of other people here would want) it to be similar to 1782 Discovery Station where we would get a small sub and a research station. Plus, it seems like that set even satisfies Lego's need to put helicopters in everything these days
  15. It does look like from the set pictures and that divers promo that there is a new shark design. Looks like an updated saw tooth similar to the ones in the old divers sets. Don't know what I think of that, but I know I can't wait for these to be released!
  16. I'm just happy about how much more of a scientific and exploration angle City has taken on recently. With last year's Arctic and now divers and space port coming back, I'll definitely be enticed to pick a few of these up.
  17. What I really want for Christmas (aside from a ton of Legos, of course) is a bunch of new camping gear! And maybe a backpacking trip through the Rocky Mountains to test it out on
  18. Thanks for all the feedback, I have posted a better full shot due to popular demand. I don't know why I didn't have that added earlier, thanks for pointing that out. And mccoyed, I do agree with you that my water could be better,I just didn't have the pieces! It's something that I'll work on in the future. Thanks!
  19. Lovely work! The foliage in this build is great!
  20. Great to have new members! Welcome! After a bit of downtime, I finished my latest free build. Took me a while, but it is done! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102600
  21. The Port City of Mirameth, Ambalar Once a small trading post and now the center of a small Avalonian kingdom, Mirameth is a bustling port city on the Eastern coast of Ambalar. Nestled in the steep cliffs of the coast, this vital trading center for Ambalar is a cultural hub with many different goods and people arriving daily from all over the guilds. Here, in the portion of town closest to the ocean, an inn for arriving travelers, a pottery shop, a cartographer's store, and a warehouse can be found. Down on the docks of Mirameth, goods from all over Historica arrive daily. Here, some of the local pets are playing near a shipment of glasswear. Nearby at the rocks, a woman is enjoying the lovely ocean view. Also, some children are having fun and playing on some crates. The busiest building on the docks, this warehouse is the main location where incoming and outgoing goods are stored. Inside can be found spices, ales, ores, textiles, and more. Outside the warehouse, a fisherman is selling his catch for the day. A port guard is vigilantly watching over the docks, unfortunately, he doesn't notice the fugitive hiding in the barrel behind him. Here we can see a spice trader from Kaliphin making a business arrangement with the proprietor. Above, a worker takes a lunch break in the upper portion of the warehouse. Next door we see the Cartographer's Shop. Here, one can find all kinds of maps for any part of Ambalar, Avalonia, and most parts of Historica. It appears a prospector has just purchased a map of the mineral prosperous central region of Ambalar and is planning to scout out a mine. Many passing sailers who stop in the port can purchase sea maps here for their voyages. Across from the cartographer's shop is the pottery shop. The talented craftswoman is standing outside her establishment hoping to attract customers. Inside, a foreign soldier is purchasing a gift to take back to his family. This is a popular stop for traveler's wanting to purchase a unique Ambalaran craft. The most popular destination at the docks is the Drunken Horse Inn and Tavern. Inside can be found drinks and ales from all over the guilds, including some of the finest Ambalaran wines. This is a very popular destination for sailors passing through Mirameth as they can get a place to stay, a bite to eat, and lots and lots of alcohol in one convenient place. Speaking of the tavern, it looks like their latest shipment of ale has been spilled by clumsy shipper. And as a parting shot, this is the best full pic I could get with the layout of my build and my cramped photography setup. For this build, I would like to claim HSS: Hospitality: Inn; Craftsmen: Potter; and Services: Cartographer. I would also like to claim UoP DoH Anthropology: City Scene and Life in Avalonia. Just let me know if there's a problem with these claims. In other news I'm still working on my photography setup, but I think it's improving. Thanks for viewing!
  22. Really like these minifigures! I think that the royal guard is my favorite.
  23. Lovely minifigs! That Mitgardian Nobleman and Raider Captain are well done, though I might have some choice words about your Avalonian Lord and Maiden...
  24. Very nice build! All of the details are great, like how it has that little tree growing from out of the tilt. The border makes it look neat and tidy. Nice work!
