  1. I went to Target in Lakewood. They have City Corner for only $14.98!!!! I bought two of them. My fiancée has been wanting this fir a long time. They were on the normal shelf and the price tag on the shelf said $14.98. I thought it was misplaced but I looked closer and sure enough it said "City Corner". I scanned it to be sure. Oddly these were NOT on clearance.
  2. Is it the picture angle? The rancor looks like it is not hunched over, like in the movie or how I see rancors in Force Unleashed or CW. otherwise great MOC.
  3. one possible way to make a Hulk or large sized character may be to customize one of the Lego keychain or headlight lights.
  4. saw the City bank at my local Lego store right around boxing day (dec 26th)
  5. Just fantastic. I really couldnt tell it was lego until I saw the close up pics.
  6. You looked at the flag? Im looking at the snipers on the roof. Probably looking at the photographer and wondering what the tiny little white thing is, that he put inside the perimeter of the white house.
  7. We appreciate your dedication, you and Smokebelch. We patiently await your judgments fine sirs!!!
  8. I saw this at a local target. But I honestly have no idea what they are referring to. It is really vague. Could it be a minifig series of town minifigs exclusive to target?
  9. Damn, that is nice. I love Dakar Rally. Although I have only watched Race to Dakar with Charlie Boorman. I have the playmobil Dakar Rally truck.
  10. I have a question for you MOCers. Do you buy, build and keep lego sets in their natural state? I cant get myself to take apart my SW vehicles. I leave them built. But then I have no legos to build anything. Do you sacrifice your sets to make your MOCs? I think you and I need to get together. I got the new and the original. I need a motorized one.
  11. very nice. Now ship it to me so I can help and take pictures of it. Seriously Im only interested in photographing vigs within your mos eisley.
  12. You are now disqualified for your impertinence and impatience!!!! haha
  13. Sounds like a problem. Do you have a digital camera? turn on the macro mode, it should be a button that has a flower icon, and take a picture of the hair underneath where the head plugs into.
  14. Very cool. I like the roof of the van. I also like the cute little turtles in the vig you have at the bottom.
  15. Nice. Im from Los Angeles. I should make a trip in May when I go to Botcon in Pasadena.
  16. Nice. I didnt even think of that. But since i didnt have one on hand. I used my craft punch.
  17. Thanks. Yeah I only went with Scrapbook paper, since they have so many colors and patterns. No need to print color if you want a simple cape.
  18. Yeah no problem. I would really recommend that you DO NOT try to sink the spin plate. There is so little room that you risk damaging to the point of ruining it. Just live with the gap. Oh yeah and the hole should be about the same size if not a little bit smaller than the hole in the square base for the spinning plate.
  19. Thanks. Yeah i dont like the standard Mando face. too creepy and ugly. Im trying to find another flesh colored disgruntled face but most of them have facial hair. I thought this generic face would work.
  20. Anything is possible. I was thinking about it. You would need to carve out a negative cavity so the rotating plate can sink into the body. i was worried I would screw it up and the sinked hole would either not be straight and centered or it would not be flat and level with the top of the body.
  21. KimT and others. here is what I used to cut the holes in the paper capes. Well I didnt really used paper, more like cardstock. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50468
  22. Someone asked me about my custom capes and I advised them that making the post holes for the neck and the fold hole is difficult to make. Or course if you are steady and skilled with an x-acto knife then you could cut these out by hand. My friend recommended this craft punch for a recasting project I did a while back. I did not really find it that handy until now. Yesterday I tried my hand at making custom capes. I could photoshop it, print and cut it out but the neck holes were a slight cause for concern. Here is the final product. My cape for Pre Vizsla leader of Mandalorian warriors. And here is my smokebelch inspired orange pauldron (since I only have the recent black pauldron sand troper from Luke Speeder set) I wanted an orange one. Here is the craft punch. I think at most it cost $5. I bought this at Michael's craft store. A nationwide chain here in the US. The large tip is the perfect size for neck post holes. The medium is a hair big for the fold hole and the small is just too small. But it works great. Hold the punch vertically and set it over the hole to be punched. Tap the top of the punch, like a nail, with a hammer. Not a lot of force is necessary. Make sure you have something sturdy under the paper. I tried a wooden cutting board but the wood was too soft and gave into the punch. It creased the circle rather than cut it. So i used a harder nylon/plastic cutting board and the hole punched out perfectly. Here is a picture of what im talking about. There are three holes.
  23. Yep here i just this posted in custom figs http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50467 KimT, the hardest part is cutting out the neck post holes and the small fold hole. Luckily I have a craft paper punch. It looks like a tool punch but has an interchangeable tip and cuts holes rather than makes a impression. It comes with three tips. the large and medium are perfect sized for the capes. I will post a pic in the custom fig section and link it to here.
  24. I have seen posts and examples of people triming the parts off the dome of R2D2 and adding them to the body. I took the grey circle, from a rotating plate, trimmed the pegs off the body and drilled a small hole in the neck. The rotating circle plate pops right in. I also had to trim the legs as the circle plate peg protrudes a little into the leg posts. I prefer this method since im using the newer grey R2 head. Ideally i would like to countersink the plate into the body. but Im worried it wont turn out perfectly flat.
  25. So as many have mentioned as soon as they saw the pictures of the new Mandalorian Battle Pack, you could make a Jango Fett stand in. Here are two options. Add an antennae or I prefer the chrome helmet/rocket pack from the Lego Pen set. I saw the season 2 episode where the leader of Deathwatch, Pre Vizsla came out of the closet (so to speak) and claimed Mandalore for Mandalore sake. I know in the show his lightsaber has a samurai sword looking handle and hilt. Someone mentioned taking a sword from Dastan POP and using a sharpie or paint to make the blade black, but I dont like the look of the blade as a light saber. So I took one of my spare light saber handles and added a simple black blade.
