Wow cool. Only $5 nice. I'm waiting outside my local LEGO Store for them to open. R2 and tie fighter hopefully gets me 3 of these.

Series 7 Space Marine armor makes a perfect Hulkbuster armor for Captain America.

Very True. i didnt realize yours is the Marc ecko. I have the bootleg version that came out early last year. It has a zip up hoodie as well. But then I got the licensed hoodie. Yeah the helmet is big but Im kinda glad it is. Considering it is for kids. I also picked up the plush rocket pack from Hot Topic when it was on clearance for $10.

My instant reaction: "That's Awesome!" well done sir.

Thanks to a fellow AFOL in NY, Stormtroopers LED keychains have been sighted at REI stores. Available online as well. $12.

I have that same hoodie. But I immediately bought the newer licensed one from Hot Topic and added the toy Helmet.

Last month LEGO stores were giving away the Mini Tie Fighter with $50 purchase of SW LEGO. Here in the US that is.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
Solscud007 replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow what a blow. That is disappointing to say the least. Who do they think voted it up to 10k votes? Certainly not 6-11 year olds. Is there an Appeal process? -
Wow I gasped when I saw this. Fantastic work.

I cant seem to find the Polybag Batmobile. Any ideas where I can find one? I only saw the Bat Jetski on TRU.com. -
An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
Solscud007 replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
In all fairness, the Minecraft CUUSOO project had very little direction. I dont recall specific sets or MOCs that could be replicated. This however, is a full on Modular style building. I can see a few tweaks here and there like the SNOT sidewalk/street will have to go. As well as figures will need to be looked into for torso printing. I just hope all goes smoothly. -
Should Avatar: The Last Airbender be reintroduced?
Solscud007 replied to Makuta's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes. I love Avatar. But I think Korra may be more appt as it is in vogue now. -
Sadly I'm sure there is a minimum order. SDCC is the biggest in US and probably the world. New Orleans is probably not big enough. Does Lego even show up at New Orleans? I mean even NYCC does not have a Lego presence.

I wonder if it will be like Bulls Eye from the toy story set.

Spend $35 and you get it for free.

New Lego Store in Rochester NY
Solscud007 replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Is there a store grand opening in ATL? You can only get these at a grand opening. According to the Lego store website, the Victor, NY store is giving these away on Saturday after a $35 purchase. -
According to the stores opening this month, you spend $35 on Saturday for the mini Lego store. Sunday spend $35 and get the 3 mini figures.

Wow that looks great. -
While I dont know your financial situation, It would have been better to have waited. You say you buy them when you can afford them. Can't you just set aside that money that you were going to spend and just waited? You already spent that money. Why not wait and hold onto the money for a sale or in this case a Promo figure. It seems that last year it was only £50 for the UK fans. So not as bad as your previous £75 expectation. I think you should try to get the set. buy a SW item and whatever else you want that is not SW. Ring them up at the counter and see if the clerk will let you have a TC-14. Most if not all LEGO store employees are rather reasonable, at least the ones I have purchased from. Granted if you buy a key chain and argue that a $2 keychain qualifies you for the TC-14 then you may be asked to leave haha Just try to get it. What is the worst that can happen? They say no you need to buy only SW sets. Ok then you leave and they miss a sale. Then you try to buy one on Bricklink or ebay for an inflated price. Considering the ARF sold for $20+ last year, I would expect TC-14 to fetch a higher price. Considering it is a more desirable figure for any SW fan. The ARF was only a PT/CW fan based item.

I was drooling over this Mini Lego Store set then I noticed that the LEGO sign looks to be a sticker? Isnt there a printed 2x2 tile with the LEGO logo printed on it?
-
While I can't speak for the UK and what they set as the price limit on sets for May 4-5, I dont think it will be £75. That is rather steep and I can appreciate your concern. However to call this purchase a "whim" is a bit facetious. As a SW Lego fan we all know that Lego will be doing something this year. Granted we did not know what it was until very recently. However would it have killed you to prepare for it if your financial ability is not as flexible as others? I am fortunate that I have an understanding wife and spare funds to buy what I want. However I knew, from my experience last year, that May 4th would be coming around. I even told me new LEGO friend in NJ about it. He and his Wife collect SW LEGO and did not know about the May 4th set. They like OT not PT. So luckily they heeded my advice and are waiting for May 4th to arrive. I think it is safe to assume that May 4th exclusives will not disappoint. You mentioned that you planned your purchases earlier in the year. Barring ridiculously great sales, could you not have waited to buy what you wanted until May 4th?

There is no review of the set? I have it but it is not organized at all. The set is ok. Nothing to get terribly excited about except for the minifigs. If you like festive figures then sure get this set. Mrs. Puff and Gary is what sold me on the set. I want the flying dutchman but the set is a bit pricey.

I would like a new Chrome C3-P0 with the new printing like TC-14

I dont understand why there is so much gripe about getting this figure. I did not jump at every new released set as soon as it hit the shelves. I bought the few that I wanted. But held off on others. Partly because I know that Lego sets are not exactly short packed items. They are rather easy to find. Sure waiting for sales is a good idea too but again it is not like I have to have all the sets asap. The UCS R2 is a fantastic piece and hoping that there is no delay, I will be getting that. Even the Tie Fighter is nice which I have yet to get. All you need to do is buy that and like two sand trooper sets and you can army build some sand troopers. Sell off the droids if you dont care for them. Some people are complaining too much. It is what it is. Deal with it and enjoy that the figure is not a Chrome Ewok as some earlier rumors led us to believe.
