Well the Hulk promotion is good for the rest of the month so I think you will be ok. I have some other smaller sets I want like Catwoman, Magneto, and my wife wants the City recycling truck (odd that I can only find it at the Lego store) So I will be getting another to add to my collection of Poly figs. I need another TC-14 though.

I held off buying the Helicarrier breakout set just for the Hulk Minifig promo. Picked them up this morning. Here are the pics. The poly bag is nothing special. We have seen pictures of it before. Backside of polybag Close up of minifig image. Now onto the minifig. . . The torso print looks like the same torso style used for shirtless Dastan I was surprised to see back printing. Here is his head hairless so you can see the face printing. even more surprising was that the hulk has a second face!!! I didnt really pay attention until I was getting ready to leave, that the Hulk's hair is Harry Potter's hair! I brought along one of my Toy Story Green Army Men to compare and the green is not the same color. It is really apparent on Hulk than on the Green Army Man. I am really pleased with how similar the facial expression is between the minifig and the Hulk figure.

I think the problem is trying to unload such a collection like that is tough. Not many people can buy such a large collection. Unless you take a steep discount off the price. The romanticized idea that someone will come in and pick up your collection and love it like you is a fantasy unfortunately. Anyone who collects has already started. And someone who is starting doesnt know the values that well and wouldn't understand the prices some of those items fetch. Best thing is to sell the sets piece meal for an average going rate equal or lower than current value if you need to move them.

I am in NY state. An hour north of NYC. Right above NJ border. So far I have Cosmic Cube set and Captain America. Not problems for me. Am I assuming there are not problems with the DC line of super heroes? Cause I have batwing, superman set, and Fun house and not problems so far.

I dunno. From what I see at my local TRU, Walmarts, and Targets there are lots of CMF series left over. Which means those stores are not buying more until they deplete their existing stock. They might trim production back as demand is not as high. I think they are over producing. Which will hurt the line in the long run.

So I picked up a Stormtrooper LED keychain two weeks ago and finally got un-lazy to take some pics of it. Just like the Darth Vader LED keychain and minifig keychains, I immediately removed the keychain. good news, the Stormtrooper helmet is NOT glued to the head. The metal post of the keychain is installed inside the head. The head is snapped on to a short bulging column. So the head can pop off and on. I just used a pair of pliers and broke the metal post off at the top of the head. I like the crotch printing. They tried to mimic the minifig crotch with a skinny black line. the button is flush to the torso just like Darthvader. I plan to modify this into a Sandtrooper. Make a custom pauldron and glue a 2x2 plate on the back battery cover so I can LEGO a backpack on. New pics in comparison with other figs. L-R: Clock, LED keychain, Minifig You can swap helmets and make a funny looking Super Deformed Stormtrooper. If you remove the Keychain fig head you can place the Minifig helmet on. Parts are interchangeable with Darth Vader. Like arms, head and cape.

Wow I totally love this MOC! I used to visit my grandparents in HK back in the late 90s and I would take the ferry across to Kowloon to get to Ocean Park Mall. But now I just take the MTR to Mong Kok.

Hmm odd. So i suppose the cracked heels were not there when you first put him together and at some point you checked and it was cracked?

You should put a small green cone ontop of the gold circle. Then it could be the Rockefeller Xmas tree.

Did you go back on sunday to get the minifigs?

How did you Iron man heels crack? Were the blue cylinders plugged in? Mine has the blue cylinders plugged in ever since I bought it and no cracking so far.

I ditched the cycle into my junk drawer. Instead I use the Indiana Jones motorcycle. At least it comes from WWII era. Sort of haha. Captain America did use a motorcycle in the Captain America movie.

Upon building the Modular Town Hall, it reminded me of the Dark Knight Rises scene shot in Pittsburgh, PA in front of the Mellon Institute. Here is a street view of the building they used in Pittsburgh.

Balance? As in can it stand or is the set positive or negative? I would say I was not overly expecting much. I mean UCS sets dont do much to begin with. Take the shuttle and the SSD. In comparison this does a lot more. I like how R2 looks and I look forward to doing some mods. It is a great set IMHO as a fan of SW.

Well I did preface with the fact that I don't really talk much in a review. My opinions don't matter much. I agree with others. It should have wheels. It locks into two leg position so it can't really fall over. I want to make the legs jets and periscope. I will also try to make a lighsaber handle poke out of his head. I would have liked a sound brick and or light brick for him. A simple blu light to act as the holo projector. The only gripe I have is that the friction of the third leg is so great that the leg doesn't drop out. Also the ankle boxes on the outer legs impedes the movement of the outer legs. So you have to pick up R2 and let the feet lower a little to clear his bottom when you move the legs back.

So this wont work with Chewie but the Series 7 swimmer's medal makes a pretty good stand in for Celebration medals.

As someone pointed out in another thread, he is a rainbow of colors inside. I was a little surprised at the bags. There are bags numbered up to 10. Some duplicate numbers but I feel like they were stretching a little thin with the high number count of bags. Im not much for detailing reviews. I just take pics. So I waited outside my local Lego Store to get UCS R2D2 and the TC-14. They did not let me have two for buying more than double the required amount. Anyway pictures. I think this is a great promo figure. the yellow eyes and the colored wiring really pop out of the chrome. Compared to the new C3-P0. I didnt notice it until they were side by side, the TC-14 has yellow wiring and C3P0 doesnt. Now compared to the old C3-P0 and my poorman's chrome C3-P0 And chromed buddies.
