There's no feud, Windy, I'm/we're just trying to help you match your character to the game lore. Scubacarrot gave a good suggestion(see above), but your character's final backstory is up to you - it just has to fit the Heroica world.
-
^Agreed. From how he was setting it up, it seemed like it was in reference - which, from further responses, I believe it was - to the Historica Kaliphilm. But if it's not, then it's fine. *other responses edited out since it simply isn't worth dragging up that old fight again* *steps back and breathes* Okay, take II. Welcome to Heroica, Windusky! I'm Lind Whisperer, Black Knight, and local punch line, a fact I occasionally become mildly testy about, typically around the time of the fifth person using it in a row. I hope you have a fun time playing, and welcome to the game!

It's not about being "open minded" or not, it's that we all follow a specific set of rules and lore, and most of the "location" lore has already been specified. That's not to say there's no place that couldn't be called Kaliphin - you could make a small sector of the Low Kingdoms that's called that, for instance - but the Kaliphin from Guilds of Historica does not exist on Olegia*. *I suppose that Kaliphin might very well exist in the broader Heroica universe, but that's a whole 'nother matter entirely...

The black knight nodded. "Listen to the wi-Minstrel, I mean."He extended his hand. "Lind Whisperer, Black Knight, Slayer of...well, one dragon, but it was a fairly large dragon - and contender to the electoral throne of Crescent."
-
^That was what I was suggesting.

If I recall right, the entrance was supposed to be somewhere in the forest off of the Eubric/R'kilf highway...
-
...That's because the Munchkins have nothing to do with a certain WB property, as has been mentioned multiple times. It was a shout-out to the munchkin playing style...Hyperlink to the Library backstory. (Apologies that it's a bit clunky - it could do with some editing.)
-
Says the oft-explored WORLD MAP: If Windusky wants to create the Heroica-based country of Kaliphin, that's fine - I'd suggest somewhere in the under-explored Low Kingdoms - but Sandy has on numerous occasions said that we can't directly reference other franchises. (There are exceptions, but they're primarily space-based, and all of them are official LEGO themes.)

Welcome to the game, Windusky! Always glad to see new players! Um...Kaliphlin - as in, GoH's Kalphlin - does not exist in Heroica. You can make new locations for Heroica - just so long as they don't conflict with already existing canon - but you can't bring in other "franchises".

Gabe's a she?

As a model, it's more accurate to the show, but I think my version is more accurate in comparison to the size of a minifig, plus the addition of a sort-of working door: You'll notice all of their shots with minifigs are from the back, not the front. There's a reason for that. 8x8 is a lot bigger than 6x6, and having minifigs in front of the T.A.R.D.I.S. would show that. Granted, having it be more accurate to minifigs would be a trade-off to show accuracy, and show accuracy's more important, for a stand-alone display model...but 8x8 is a lot bigger than 6x6, for any sort of display diorama.

Not dead - dormant.

It's a Shield of Invisibility. Not that easy to see.

The black knight looked at her calmly. "The Munchkins tell many stories - some finished, some only half told, some...a mixture of both." He stroked his chin, and studied the tiles on the floor. "If Ulric has the Crown - something that was written to be lost - then I worry as to his reach. There are...many powers, that those of our days were meant not to hold. The Crown is not among them...but for a former criminal to hold it - to have had the forces at his disposal to find it..." He looked up grimly. "It speaks dark things for Eubric's future." OoC: Where/when did the Veterans tell the Heroes about the Psycrown? All I can find is Baba worrying about the heroes learning of it.
-
"...So, you're a supporter of Ulric, now?" Lind eyed the monk cautiously. The black knight's face grew dark. "You can't control a mindflayer - at best, you can ward them away from your mind. And to do that - to do that would require a very, very powerful totem or charm, with such a lever of power as would be...very, very rare, to say the least.I read a story about such an talisman once, something made near the beginning of time itself - but the story told that it had been lost shortly after, in a deep chasm, during the wars between the Pale Races. And that it was the only talisman of its sort..."

...We have too many freakin' characters in this game. Also, nice design WBD - using that torso, with the broad sash at the bottom, hides the transition between the pieces very nicely!
-
...When did that get proved? No, but now you mention it...
-
Fair, and well reasoned. Terry's doing good. You might want to have a moment where he just gets fed up with Jinnipher, and 'tells her off, even though it's not nice," but that's just my opinion...
-
I "get" how they work, but I also get that, when you look at them compared to similar real-world historical events, they aren't currently organized enough to succeed. (I know, I know, "fantasy" world and all, but still...)
-
But having him be amnesiac is funnier. A smiling, cheerful, friendly knight, that has no idea he's a horrible, mind-controlling abomination.Think OotS's Xykon's Monster in the Darkness.
-
But those are the easy quests to host! Just wait until I introduce my oft-recast second character: Bob the Amnesiac Mindflayer! (...Yeah, barring Sandy barring Mindflayer as a PC race, I'm actually serious.)
-
Don't forget Lind - there's power in them thar books! (Lind won't be siding with any demons, but if there's power to be absorbed, well, who better/worse to absorb it than a certain Munchkin... )
-
Well, that solves the Lannie/Warlann debates.Neither of them.
-
The Munchkin chuckled. "We could use that wit over in Crescent." "...You do realize he's partially onmiscent, right? Not...the best idea to around calling onmiscent beings names, even if you don't agree witht hem."
-
More...just around the forum, not necessarily in quests themselves.
