You are totally right. However, I don't want them to be exactly frowned upon and be the local enemy, I was thinking more of the arrogant neighbor who just thinks he's better than everyone else. I like arrogance! So yes, I will try to build up from basically rocks and dirt but that will take some time, obviously, so certain characters and events won't come later, like the creation of The Grustrag Three (unless I can post what they look like, here, then have a story about them another time).

Alright, I'll definitely look into your older builds to get the lore you came up with so it makes sense with what I put. I have this very cool idea, almost like the origins to this new empire so I'll post it that what I don't forget in a little bit. Defeated by the hands of Gideon, Aidana, the Archmage, and other soldiers, the remaining Orcs flee into the Rakath mountains and are scorned and hated by all the citizens and warriors of Kaliphlin. Vem Tabook claims leadership among the small tribe of Orcs to create new life with no contact to Elves and Men. They hardly even made contact with the somewhat innocent Dwarves. Scorched by the blazing sun, they become almost feral, savage, and transformed. Their skin turned from light brown to a dark crimson red when the first eclipse took place. I need breed and empire, was born. That's just a little back story I thought of, which will most likely be changed and other created lore added to it later on.

I suppose there could be some sort of relationship, I (or we) could think of something that relates them together. What do you think? It's okay that you are kidnapping the thread because you do bring up a very good point and idea that we could think of together, if you'd like. I personally think that would be cool.

Thanks! I wouldn't really call them minions (you can if you want) but I'd say either soldiers or troops or something along the lines of that.

Thanks and yeah, I'm sure why either so that's why I am loving this approach even more. As for the BrickWarriors things, I think they fit pretty good with licensed parts. They also fit pretty good and don't take the heads off (unless the head is attached the the neck part and is loose then yes, the head will come with it) but the Ogre Armor is very stiff and kind of hard to get on torsos but it's new and needs to get a little worn. I can't say the other armor and helmets don't do the same since I only have the Brute Armor (for $0.50 per armor, that's a pretty good deal) so I decided to get mostly those and they look great with the Orcs.

My lighting is very amateur but what I use is a lamp like this one and a regular tall lamp. But I mainly rely on the first lamp I linked which I got at WalMart for something under $20 a few years ago. But I do keep the light right over it and pretty close as well. Yes, I do but I got extremely lazy and use the base from my two old MOC's for it. For my builds however, I will be using a different base. I'm debating on whether I should just use the 16x16 plates I got (in both tan and green) but I don't know because I still like the border but I'll try to make one that goes good with plates.

I agree. Use one color rather than many different colors. I also see that you have lots of 1x4 reddish brown tiles, which is a very good sign. I'd recommend using those for the flooring of vignettes and use one color, preferably black or a shade of gray for the walls, and furnishings. So make a vignette if you can, they come out great and can be perfected even with a decently small LEGO collection.

I can't take all advice that's given, like if it's with parts I don't have and things like that. Also, it is your imagination that you basically think I don't care because the whole point of this thread, is for advice with WIP's. Typically, I'll show one picture, ask for feedback and add things that could make it a whole lot better. So yes, I do care what you guys have to say. If I didn't care, I'd come off acting like a jerk. So expect pictures soon, if not today then definitely some time this week. I would take pictures ASAP but it's very cloudy and I'm trying to get pictures that don't look choppy and grainy and I think it's because I'm trying to take pictures close up.

I'll take all advice into consideration, don't worry. I've also never played World of Warcraft, and I never really cared for it, so I'll try to not make it seem like that if that's what's happening. -------{UPDATE}------ I received my orders for the Zar-Ifrikt, so I'll be posting my *new* siggy and The Grustrag Three either later today or later this week!
