I'd expect those kind of sets in a few years at the 30 anniversary of RotJ, so not sure if it has been stated somewhere in this post but how likely is that rumored list? where does it hail from? Heh, doubt it, unless they really really want to confuse us, I'm sure they'll avoid similar names like crazy at least for follow-up years.
-
Okay, now your confusing me,... Battle of Endor is already for sale in the Lego Shop, so how can that be a summer wave set? Is there another coming? Greg's statement is from recently though, about the same time as that blurry photo he posted. So I may presume that he didn't mean that battle of endor

I do believe I read that Greg Hyland said there was going to be at least one OT set in the summer wave, which one it is going to be wasn't stated of course.

I agree, the way the arm nearest to the viewer curves it's bound to be a rocket arm, as well as the fact that on the box image in the lower-right hand corner his left arm (for the viewer) curves inward ever so slightly (like regular SBD droid arms do) while the right one is thicker and seems to be straight.

I don't think it's just Rex they want, they are just happy that he is included in a another set. AS well as it probably cheaper (parts to price ratio) to get him in a smaller set and last but not least with a new load of Rex's in a cheap set, prices might decline a bit on bricklink making it more interesting for people to buy the figure from there. (Of course not so at home in current Minifigure prices of Bricklink so could be mistaken) For me, I'm a collector so I want the set it comes with as well, that's why I wouldn't buy loose minifigures of Bricklink so rapidly.

This actually made me wonder how much the 4th clone (the one on the speeder that is) in the clone battlepack is going to look like Gree a.k.a. CC-1004, as far as I can tell from the non-confidential picture there are similarities.

If Lego ever made a bantha like this, i'd definetly buy it. Who needs a one piece mold if you can have this instead. Very detailed and in my opinion spot on concerning size.

Never tried mini-figure customization, so this was a nice opportunity to give it a go, mainly purist customization cause I'd would probably mess up anything involving any other techniques. Theme: Dragonball Z Character: Goku Cost: A little bit of tape, aka very low Cosplay at the retirement home, I figured that in 50-70 years most of us would be finding ourselves in just such a home and perhaps we will be forced into cosplay participation. If we do it would probably be something like this. Here we have Jim who is dressed up as his favorite character of his favorite show when he was just a little boy; "Goku" from Dragonball Z, during the annual Cosplay event of the 'Lego city retirement home'. He is joined by his life-long buddies; Mack dressed up as "Darth Vader" and William as "Bruce Lee" The Vignette Front View Side view Back view Jim has had enough and goes looking for his wheelchair Of course I wish everyone best of luck, seen some really good ones out there.

On a good note, the quality of this catalogue version is much higher than the one from before, I can actually read the text in some locations without having to squint my eyes and puzzle it out. So although it has been posted, thanks for the better version.

Okay, thanks, I got scared there for a moment, this clarifies it. A Commando would have been nice, but I'll settle for a nice-looking commander mini-figure as well.

The green guy in the clonetrooper battlepack is no longer called a clonetrooper commando I may hope, for as far as I can tell (especially from the helmet) is that it hardly looks like the commandos we seen before (think Katarn armor used by commandoes, for example Delta Squad). I certainly hope this isn't because of one of those; "Come on, lets change the canon for the sake of our Clone Wars animation" which will then feature thousands of clone commando popping out of the woodworks in regular clone trooper armor, so to go back on topic I'm curious to see more detailed shots of this minifgure. on a sidenote, thanks to the uploaders of the screenshots, they really got me excited.

I'm slightly disturbed about the 'special edition' tag on the battle of Geonosis and (albeit not as important as aforementioned set) mace's jsf. I certainly hope this doesn't mean they will be impossible to get trough regular channels.

The year 1999, I had just seen the new movie a few days before and then my birthday hit, one of my received gifts was the naboo swamp set, one look at the Battle-droid and I was sold. (a few "dark" years after '05 but now I'm back on the Star Wars Lego collecting scene)

Netherlands: 50% sale on all LEGO
Stegoceras replied to legolijntje's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Just noticed that Bol.com is also having a discount on all their Lego's and have free shipping until the 27th, so worth a peek. -
I know it's been said, but damn they removed Quinlan Vos. The guy just doesn't get a break, get removed from ROTS in post-production gets scrapped from the A clone Wars episode and now he gets removed from a Lego set and then to imagine I was really anxious for that set. Still Saesee Tiin and Shaak Ti are great but he just was the topping on the cake. Though I'm very happy with the battle of Geonosis set, nice Proton Cannon, Luminari Unduli and more battle-droids, yaay, definetly getting that one. Also love the clonetrooper Battlepack (especially the orange bomb-squad figures) and would probably go for the battle of Naboo for the nice amount of battle-droids. The rest doesn't look all that great to me, Bounty Hunter ship not so physically appealing to me, though might get it for the figures and 4 similar mando's in a pack, awh damn give us some color TLC, for the rest will just have to wait and see. This list does make me wonder what big sets we are going to get next year. Cause these look like the low and middle class products.

Halloween Mini-Month Avatar Contest! VOTE NOW!
Stegoceras replied to Shadows's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Excellent time to finally add an avatar to my profile I must say, I very much like the Lego battle-droids, and thus my Halloween version has been creative with some paint to become utterly scary. -
Heh, I'd overlook these pictures if I didn't know they were supposed to be new star wars Lego's. to be honest I don't really think there is that much to make up out of it. Big blur seems to be a ship of some sort, with a smaller front and a larger back (tantive IV-like) Small brown blur reminds me of the shape of Bossk's ship the Hound's tooth. As for the figures, The red one looks like a imperial guard and what looks like two clonetroopers(or stormtroopers), beyond that I can't imagine. Of course in the end it might turn out to be Lego's new line; Blurry Lego, squint your eyes and see the legoblocks turn into your favorite ship, limitless new options and adventures await you.

how about.... a mynock and of course rancor and/or banthas
-
1) Any of the Max Rebo band (especially Max Rebo or Sy Snootles, bring on a Jabba's throne-room remake, with Rancor this time) 2) Any form of Rank for phase 1 clone troopers, Sergeants, luitenants, etc (I mean the color indication, we need some to command all those normal white clone-trooper buggers, and not the overly colored one-off CW versions) 3) Some Chalmun's cantina characters (Figrin D'an and the modal nodes, Wuher, Ponda Baba, doctor Evazan, etc) 4) Padme (with any hairpiece or dress) 5) Garindan (enough said) 6) Any of the Jedi Masters of the council on any of the 3 PT movies (ones that haven't been made of course, Eeth Koth/Agen Kolar, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Oppo Rancisis) But of course in the end I would be glad with any new figure, Major or minor character.

In the equipment area, boba all the way. Perhaps Cad might win on the firepower but beyond that it's obvious that Boba's mando-armor beats any coat or dare I say silly hat. In skill I'd also have to go for Boba; he is a clone of the greatest bounty hunter of the era, not too mention he was trained by him from a young age. Also he can literally fulfill any function on his own, while Cad relies more heavily on his lackeys to do stuff. Reputation, both eventually are the greatest bounty hunters of their era's, so it's a tie, although barely since Cad only becomes the greatest after Jango's death. On screen: Probably Cad, Though I'm not so fond of the CW series cause it seems a bit too simple and over-powered here and there, Cad still shows he can hold his ground. While Boba has one very big chink in his armor during his on-screen time called, Han Solo (whose is the ruling king of Bounty Hunter megablocks-kicking it seems) Beyond the Series/movies: Boba all the way, Cad is a pretty new character and has yet to make much of an impression on the Expanded Universe while Boba really shines in comics and books(not considering the occasional run-in with Han). So It's obviously Boba to me, Cad might be a rising star and perhaps he'll raise himself to some greater heights, but eventually he'll run into his personal "Han-nemesis" and he'll be down faster than you can say "bah!" (remember all bad guys in fiction eventually fall)

Who is the best bounty hunter? (besides the Fetts)
Stegoceras replied to master windu 7495's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I would say: Kenix Kil, (aka Kir Kanos) although he is not entirely a bounty hunter. But he still kicks megablocks as an pretend Bounty hunter. From the list I would pick Dengar, he simply is a very interesting character. -
Congratulations to the winners, you all deserved it.

Lots of good entries, and again hardly enough points to spread around, so my selection is as follows: 11) Jungle Explorer Entry (Build by Diidy) 16) Lifeguard Entry (Build by Plissken) 38) Jungle Explorer Entry (Build by Etzel) Good luck to all both with the points and the little raffle -
